Nice update! Thats going to be a big layout! You were talking about Mark Pruitt of the CB&Q in Wyoming. Marks a great guy with, as you said, a stellar layout! Thanks for showing yours! ...Claude
Well done. I enjoy your videos and seeing your progress. I nearly modeled the Bessemer, big 155lbs rail, double track and large steam what’s not to love.
Thank you. I've held off doing any scenery or detail work until the upper deck is built. I can't wait to dig in though, I think it's gonna be a blast to get to "the fun stuff"!
Great update! I'm really looking forward to seeing the 2-10-4 develop. Betty is such a good sport, I tried to put a conductor's hat on my cat for a video, he refused!! Thanks for sharing your progress ~ Dennis
Yes, Dennis, BUT, (according to many dog lovers) cats are evil!😱 They look so cute.😺 Don't be fooled, it's been reported that they love to jump up on the layout and bat around one's favorite brass locomotives!😲 lol 🚂Lawrence
@@locolorenzo This is very true, my previous n-scale plywood pacific suffered many "catnados" which helped facilitate a change in scale and a move to the larger space!!
Ray, that's a brilliant solution for the 2-10-4.🤔 It solves so many problems of the original brass running gear.🙂 If it works as planned, are you going to apply that fix to the whole fleet? 🚂Lawrence
Probably, but not till I'm done. I keep finding more and more I can scavenge - wiring harness, headlight lenses - the decoder already went into a 2-8-0 with a decoder. Might not be much left past a cab and tender. If it all goes well, there will be more.
Hi Ray, wow! 100 video’s already, great update and I just love watching your trains run. Your layout is going to be as awesome as Mark’s at the C B&Q looking forward to seeing how both develop, cheers for now, John
Thank you! It's the walthers modern roundhouse with 5 add on kits. The turntable is also walthers, link here: www.walthers.com/3-stall-modern-roundhouse-kit-16-x-20-1-8-x-5-1-2-quot-40-6-x-51-1-x-14cm
Just a little query - as it rounds the curve at 12:34 is it just leaning to the left a little? I'm a recent subscriber following from Rob Bennetts video, really nice layout you have. Here in the UK while we tend to have much smaller layouts due to room sizes being that much smaller and the use of a helix is used by a minority it's interesting to see how many ways a helix can be built and how it interacts with the levels at either end. Great model and looking forward to more in the future, Chris.
Greetings from across the pond! And good eye! I've thought the same thing, but 2 levels say everything is dead level left to right. I think between the curve, and gaining height to the level but inside, it's an optical illusion. I'm considering super elevating just to make it look right.
Thank you! I'll get back to editing and making them a bit prettier eventually. My laptop died and I'm still transitioning to the new computer. I'll have to show the water heater at some point, I've gotten this comment a few times. I actually moved it about 3 feet to accommodate the layout. The junction box is right above it, and it's on shark bites, with absolutely nothing in its way. The aisles of the layout actually follow the plumbing and electric, so nothing is blocked. Home improvement is my second hobby, so, nothing gets created that will make a nightmare later.
Thank you for sharing. Very nice update, love the dog.👍
Chief engineer Black Betty, Ram-a-Lam, P.E. oversees and approves all construction, as well as making sure the couch doesn't move.

Thanks! It's a big undertaking for sure. Hoping to have so fanatic op sessions in the future!
I really enjoy your videos. I am looking forward to the next 100 videos. Best regards.
Thank you! Full completion of the mainline this year!
Congrats on your 100th!! Always looking forward to your progress. Your tapered 1x4's were a great idea!
Thank you! I stole the tapered 1x4 idea from someone, can't remember where. It's a lot of extra work really, but I think it's worth it!
Hey man love your Layout!!! Got to love them steamers!!! Sorry for all the problems with the brass. Congratulations on 100 videos!!!!
Thank you!
looks great its getting there awesome work.😊😊👍👍
Thanks Ray for this great update. Betty was not camera shy in this one.
Lol, no. She's been feeling pretty spry lately.

Totally!
Wow, what a layout ! I love the length. Have you measured how long the room is ? I would love to know.
Thank you! The room is approximately 30x50
Your layout looks fantastic impressive build

Short answer, yes. Soon as I get the upper deck finished. This is priority one.
Absolutely love your 2-10-4 from 2-10-0 kitbash project. 3D printing is a game changer.
Thanks! Hoping it turns out good enough to want to replicate it a few more times
Fantastic! You're making great progress. Would you be interested in selling the left over PRR 2-10-0 parts???

@@bessemerlakeerieinhoscale6061 No worries, please keep me in mind, I'll take what I can get... I have some extra Bowser chassis that need parts... ;)
I was looking up Robert Loves video. I couldn’t find it. Can you give us the link to it?
I sure can. It's going to be great!

I hope your hot water heater never goes bad cause you’re going to need a scalpel to get it out! Great work and looking forward to more.
