Thanks! This yard will be a lot more complex and interesting. My favorite part of operations is working the yard and classifying cars so I can’t wait to operate this one.
Looking good and I see you laid your curves correctly using an actual radius. I see some people with no plans just guessing . Also I have been adding those step lights to two of my N scale locomotives . I had to try and have it after seeing how nice it looks on yours.
Hi Tim, thanks for posting this update. I was interested in the Track-mat and will look it up. Also, for the Curves in the Yard, what are the Track Centre Distances you have used, please.
No track mat used here. I paint and spray the cork roadbed with textured paint from Krylon and Rustoleum. The curved track centers are spaced 2.5 inches apart. Thanks for watching!
Hi Tim! Great work. Question: The former MoPac GP38s don't have dynamic brakes so are there any operating restrictions for them? At one time the Florida East Coast had an agreement to run on Norfolk Southern from Jacksonville to somewhere south of Atlanta (I think Macon) in the late 1990s and early 2000s if I remember right. The FEC units assigned to the train needed to have dynamic brakes per the agreement with Norfolk Southern. Most newly purchased FEC units didn't have dynamic braking cause Florida is mainly flat so they picked up some used GP40s/GP40-2s and had them rebuilt. Thanks and happy modelling!
Thanks! Non-dynamic locomotives on the SC are mostly assigned to the yards and locals. Road freights are generally handled by locomotives that are equipped with dynamics.
Are those AC units on top of the engines, never seen it before, I suppose you would need them down south and southwest. One more question what amperage is your command station,I know the one you just put in the new section is 5 amps. Also Tim have a happy New Year!
Yes they are the new RV style of air conditioners that are being used by some railroads. My command station is a 5 amp Power Pro System powered by a Digitrax PS515 5 amp transformer.
Always good to visit the SC. Thanks for the update!
Thanks for watching!

2005 looks fantastic, “Herzog” gondolas also looks great although I don’t remember them from old SC layout.
Thank you. Yes they were on the old layout. Part of the work train.
Looking good so far. Nice fade. Idk if you have done a video on how you do that, but if not, would you please share your techniques?
Thanks! Yes, I have one on the channel where I show how to weather a locomotive.

Very cool, Tim, is that power station PTC equipped. LOL. Great video , highball on the air
Lol. Thanks! I’m sure you will get a kick out of the next video. Stay tuned.
Is 2005 modeled/based off of the FEC? It looks fantastic!
Thanks! Yes, the FEC scheme is what it is based off of.

@@SeaboardCentral that's cool!
Do step light locations vary? I've only seen the lights between the bottom two steps, never at the top step.
Yes, it really depends on the prototype. I’ve seen them in different locations.
Are you guys going to Amherst this year
I wish I could but I have to work
Is 152 a tunnel motor?
152 is a GP15-1. Tunnel motors are SD40T-2 and SD45T-2.
Qa when do you think 🤔 they will release another boxcars run of the Seaboard Central
I don’t know, but I would love to see them do another run.
