Love that Superman! Really enjoyed this timed unboxing, too. The shipping switcharoo is something that really ticks me off. Some online sellers are so narrow minded. The goal is to retain customers and have them buy from you again, not a one and done. Excellent video! 👊
Thanks! Going to do more like these... I know it sounds dumb, but I save a lot of unboxings for videos because I know there are great, fun comics inside, and then I end up not getting to them because I know some of the unboxings might turn out to be an hour-long video. This way, it helps me stay focused and get to the comics (not video production), which is the whole point of what I enjoy: the research, the data, the hunting, the buying/bidding, the collecting, the sorting, the grading, and on and on. 🙂
Right? Totally agree! I do this as an experiment for something that really doesn't need to be proven out. I notified this seller and suggested he consider dropping his conditions down a few grades to help others with purchasing in the future.
Wow, I sell on Atomic Avenue and when I pull my comics to get ready for shipment I always double check the condition. I would be embarrassed to list these as NM. I never list my comics in NM. I use VF/NM.
I would never tell another collector what they should or shouldn't collect. If you are interested, it should be around $20-$40 for a high-grade raw copy. I paid more than that because I trusted this seller to deliver it around a Near Mint (9.4) and was disappointed. A graded copy of this book starts at around $100 slabbed.
Comics dont qualify as media mail because the have advertising. You cant ship them with media mail. Post office will charge regular rate if its a comic book
You're right! I'm always surprised when this gets past the post office. I had one order years ago that they opened and the comics were damaged. I contacted the seller and they said they've been shipping using Media Mail for years and that it's never happened before and I should work it out with USPS.
Thanks! This one goes out to all my fans who say I talk too much on my videos! I can't help myself even when trying to consolidate my thoughts down to 10 minutes.

Sweet Superman 233. Bummer about the overgrading...that's the kind of thing that brings out the Macho Man
Elizabeth knows that we shouldn't be blindly buying near mint keys without seeing them first but she loves us anyway.
Mile High Comics tagline should be “Overpriced, Overgraded”.
Ha! You should work for their marketing department. 😆
I don't think I would ever buy a NM book from the '60s or '70s (or '80s for that matter) without seeing it first.

Let me know what your store/handle is on AA; would love to check out what you have for sale and place an order!
Moneyball Comics should I pick up a copy of Tec 469 for my PC? And if so how much should I pay for a decent copy?

Shame on you Mark M.!
As my Peloton instructor once told me, "there's no shame," but, yes, there is always shame to be had! 😆
Congrats on the shorter video!
