Your $300 book had its share of mold on the cover. (I'm assuming it's mold.) Sweet find though. Congrats! Call me crazy but I was more excited by the bookshelves with real wood veneers. Those are hard to come by in my part of the world. I'm sure they're in rough shape but that never bothers me. They can be braced/ shored up and repaired. Nabbing two identical 6-footers would be a treat.
Theres a reason that cacophony #2 wasn't there Mike, because he probably had the variant which is a diamond and very expensive. Great find and great show.
I found a low-grade Batman Adventures 12 for a dollar in a Thrift store.....and the thrift store burned down a few days later ....odd story of finding a book in a strange and unusual place .....that no longer exists ! Glad I rescued the book!
What a coincidence, I just discovered that I had that book in my collection. I had no idea it was special and I also got it from a Library. A bunch of random Batman books from the 90s was donated to the library I worked at and they didn’t want them so I was able to take them home, this was 15-20 years ago.
Nice find. I actually own a copy of that The Batman Adventures/Harley Quinn comic book, because at the time I originally bought it because of Batgirl. I haven't really been keeping up with the worth of comic books since Wizard: The Guide to Comics went defunct. I knew the comic was worth something but I didn't know how much. The '90s was such a great decade for comic books, especially indie titles.
Congratulations! It stories like THIS that keep us going and is why we watch your channel!!! It's the Thrill of the HUNT!!! Keep on hunting and we are looking forward to seeing your next video! Thank You
Mike, you've done it again. That Batman Adventures is definitely a heck of a find, especially for 50 cents. Personally, I would hang on to it, but I could see eventually using it to trade for a bigger book. Nice selection of 90s Batman and Detective books, as well as that Power Man and Iron Fist book. Great pulls all around.
What an awesome find. You gotta keep it. Every time you look at it you'll get to relive that rush of finding it for half a buck. At its core that was a collecting hobby is all about. Congrats!
My interest in comics has wane over the years due to the current directions of Marvel and DC. However, finding your You Tube videos has renewed my interest in comic collecting. This video reminded of my childhood where I'd go hunting for comics at my local used bookstores. Thanks Mike.
Finding books for .50 is a thing I found a Jungle Action first Killmonger for .50 I found a Transformers 80 for .50 the books are out there again Nice Find!!
I'm so happy for you, my friend. That find is what it's all about! In my mind, THIS is how you can use lunch money finds to leverage toward the keys you've always wanted. 👏
Man what a score 🎉 I have a copy of it too it was the 1st "big key" I bought for my PC. A coworker of mine had it i was in total awe that he had it. He sold it to me for a lot more then 50 cents but I was still happy to have it. Awesome score again Mike I'm super excited for you 😊
Keep the Batman Adventures #12 and keep it raw, because you will never find a comic book like that in the condition it's in for $0.50 cents any where else anymore. A rare and cheap find for sure, so keep it in your personal collection. Nice review.
Great score. Our library has a sale every year which I attend as well. Unfortunately, the library is right across the street from a major comic store so if there were ever any good finds, I am sure that I will be beaten to them. Instead, I settle for $.50 trades.
Hey Mike I love your videos! I have been watching your videos for a long time. I have been hunting this book for a long time, and I am an aspiring cleaner and presser, and I really dig the way you found this book. I would love to make an offer or possible trade for this book. I know you will probably want to keep it, but I thought I would at least try. The story and history of books like this are more important to me, than just buying them from a dealer/show seller. I am nowhere near the level of Comic Spa YET, but I hopefully will be in the not so distant future. Again I love this book, and would love a shot at it, but regardless I will continue watching your channel, and loving the videos. You are truly aspiring! Keep up the killer videos
Love the content!!! The Captain America books are cool, written by Ed Brubaker. Great run! I missed the first appearance of the Winter Soldier by 3 issues, but have almost his complete run. The Batman books from the Knightfall story line are what brought me back into collecting comics again! 😂😂😂 Finding the first appearance of Harlequin was an incredible find. Had me with my jaw dropped open when I saw it. Keep up the great work!!!✊🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Hey Mike, I enjoy your reading tastes so much I’d like to see what regular books you picked up on the last day of the sale. How about adding those at the end of a future video?
The hardest of the Classics Illustrated to find back in the 70s was Dracula...never did manage to find one here in Scotland.. Nice Rocket variant with Thanos.. Sadly my local library doesn't do comics, but a small selection of graphic novels which I have added to with some duplicate copies. I prefer the Elseworld Batman issues as I was too old to get into Batman Adventures...congrats on the score..
Not adaptations , only adaptation was Mask of the Phantasm comic all others are original stories within that Batman universe. Great videos and great finds !
About a month ago, I found a copy of the Dave Stevens: Covers & Stories HC at my local public library's book sale. I picked it up for $10. I got the idea to check out the library's sales based off watching one of your previous videos.

Amazing find!!! Congrats on a 50¢ score!
I picked up my Batman adventure 12 for $5, you did better than me.
WOW! Way to go Mike!!!
I found a Justice League 189 in great shape (despite being unbagged!) at a streetside flea market last month for just a dollar.
You beat me Mike. Found my #12 in a dollar box about 20 years ago. Congrats on a great find!

You should collect the entire Batman Adventures run. They are all fantastic reads.
All of the Adventures titles are fantastic: Batman Adventures vol. 1 and vol. 2, Gotham Adventures, Batman & Robin Adventures, Batman Beyond.
