I’m talking to Dr. Dr. Alfred de Zayas, a Professor at the Geneva School of Diplomacy, who used to work as a senior lawyer in the Office of the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights and later became the first UN Independent Expert on International Order, serving in that capacity from 2012 to 2018.
    Part 2: • Ukraine War EXPOSES 30...
Born in Cuba, Dr. de Zayas holds a Doctorate in Jurisprudence from Harvard Law School and a PhD in modern history from the German University of Göttingen.

The only mistake is that for 80 years the European Jewish community has been bribing the British colonizers and their colony in the US! Britain only sold a piece of Palestinian territory to the Rothschilds family that they renamed Israel, even that sale was illegal, but killing Palestinian's to steal the rest of their land is an invasion and a war crime! The end of this hegemony is coming to an end by God's grace and ICJ and ICC will be re-established to protect the whole worlds citizen's not just those who can pay a bribe! China, Russia, Iran will restore justice to at least a fair level according to Gods will not the will of the ones with most money and weapons!

The world is or was till just recently actually doing pretty good, with the exception of a few countries in Africa, Ukraine with the war, and same with Israel and being invaded by Muslims last October. But none of that is new. Really just "Same as it ever was". The biggest problem in the world isn't any one type of political system, as it is a consolidation of wealth and power to fewer and fewer people who then exploit a country and people regardless of the political system in the country. All countries seem to get infiltrated by the rich who try to get richer at the expense of the poor. It's been that way since the beginning of time regretfully. The truth is : there is no such thing as "middle class". That's a media term derived by the rich to try to make people feel better about the low salaries. No, it is still only the very rich, and then the rest of us poor SOB's But something that I heard that was disturbed me is what has been happening in Nigeria, and so many deaths. That there is a civil war of sorts, and none of it is being reported like the war in Ukraine or Israel. That's the media, again controlled by a few deciding on what subjects will be presented or not. And Nigeria is just a bunch of blacks dying, not white people like white people are in Ukraine so it doesn't get reported. Because the ones that own the media channels are white. But no, never racist with their coverage. No It's the lack of coverage which is racist.

@@johannjohann6523I agree with a lot of what you said, except fora few things. The US and collective west are absolutely at least partially responsible for a lot things happening globally and for decades. You forgot a bunch of coups and assassinations over the last century ontop of all of the massive political and economic coercion, more importantly invasions and wars like iraq, Afghanistan, lybia and syria. Also, nigeria has a terrorist problem(most likely funded by the west and arab states like uae and Qatar), but the country of 220+ million are not in a civil war.

On the 7th, it is crucial to understand that there were no direct attacks on civilians, only collateral damage. Out of the 1148 total names on haaret dataset, 473 military and 675 were civilians.
Ratio of civilians to military personnel killed on the 7th was 1 . 4 : 1 - lower than any of the iTf "mowing" operations, which has a ratio of 7 : 1
According to UN OCHA data from 2008 to 2022; The collateral damage on the 7th was significantly lower than any of the ITf "mowing" operations, which had a ratio of 7:1 with 1,023 military personnel out of 6,541 total.
On the 7th, with 473 military (418 were iTf military personnel, 55 belonged to the police) out of 1148 total, the ratio of civilians to military personnel was a mere 1.4:1

A 162 :1 ratio means that for every 162 civillians, 1 military personnel is a casualty. The 7th had a ratio of 1.4:1, more than a hundred times lower.
The 473 are - 55 soldiers, 13 privates, 59 corporals, 200 sergeants (45 of whom were sergeant majors), 48 commanders, 32 lieutenants, 5 lieutenant colonels, 6 colonels, 37 officers, 10 inspectors, 6 intendents, and 2 Lance Corp. I disagree with Kahuto. Going for that is sliding into a muck of IDF/Israel thinking: no civiliansin Gaza, all of them support Hamas in some way, What is important hovever is to add a range of estimates on the numbers among 473 + 675 victims that were killed by IDF + police fire (I read that shooting from helicopters at all vehicles in the vicinity of "musical festival" was done by police). I think that much fewer "Hannibalized" victims were military than civilian, but I never put together all published info.

Colombian American here; have lived in the USA for 53 years. I wrote this recently and thought it would be useful here. Thanks to you both; keep up the good work.
Capitalism was born in the former Roman colonies of western Europe along with the modern incarnations of the Roman Republic, and the republican paradigm is the source of the failures of all modern governments, including the socialist varieties.
Hitler’s Nazis and Stalin’s “communists,” despite the ideological differences between their facades, were mirror-image products of republican world-building. Hitler and Stalin were republicans before they were anything else. Mussolini is seen as Roman fascism’s revivalist, but in actuality, the US government is a faithful rendition of the Roman Republic, festooned with dueling fasces and other Roman paraphernalia.
Look at photos of the House of Representatives and notice the Roman mace and twin fasces. In case you don’t know, a mace is a weapon for bludgeoning people to death, and it’s sometimes used ceremonially as a symbol of authority. Notice that the axe heads on the fasces are placed to face each other! The symbols in the House of Representatives signify a population divided into opposing camps and ruled over with the threat of capital punishment.
The incorrect assumption about the republican construct is that it is only an objective logical framework. In fact, it is a framework that institutionalizes elite rule, regardless of ideology or of the mechanisms for selecting representatives. The logic of a republic is game logic, designed to keep people investing in a game they can never win, while decisions in the real world are made by the house. Republicanism and the federalism required to enforce it are deliberate negations of democracy.
American “democracy” can be characterized as the people of Arizona being forced to compete against the people of New York in a Sisyphean “culture war” to force their respective “identities” on each other, while the substantive decision-making of the federal republic is done by a coterie of “elected” pragmatic opportunists openly sponsored by private wealth.
The U.S., a nation of more than 330 million people, is effectively ruled by 543 people in the federal government, and approximately the same number in the government of each state. That is approximately 27,700 deciders, or .000084 of the population. Controlling that minuscule fractional minority by any means is what republican politics is all about.
We are purported to be a sapient species, and a sapient body politic requires democratic initiatives and reforms with a goal to eventually transition to direct democracy. Direct democracy and the absence of hierarchies is the sapient future. Although it does make sense to learn from socialist critiques, it doesn’t make sense for us to first strive for a socialist republic, especially considering the historical baggage that socialism has acquired.
Direct democracy would be an easy sell to people across the current political spectrum, if it were taken seriously by intelligent people as an actual possibility. The problem is that it’s the most radical, empowering and likely to succeed option that is conceivable, and that makes the idea of a socialist republic palatable by comparison to private concerns.

When the UN authorized the American military campaign in Iraq based on lies repeated exhaustively by the Bush Jr. administration, International Law died. The war crimes committed in the Second Gulf War were not punished and the American political elite continued to behave as outside the Law because they were treated as if they were above it. At the time, when reflecting on this subject, I said on my blog that the UN had been replaced by a Zombie and the international community pretended it was alive because there was nothing better to put in its place. Now we are seeing a real-time genocide committed by Zionists in Gaza with diplomatic support, money and weapons from the US and Europe. The UN Zombie is being decapitated by the civilized West and no one seems to care about the inevitable consequence: the possibility of the world plunging into the nuclear abyss.

Any explanations about why, and the timing of it? Especially since General Soleimani was assasinated one month later whilst carrying a diplomatic letter. And one month after that the Crypto AG affair almost was exposed, before being buried.
As they think about that, they can then attempt to explain how Ueli Maurer was in the Oval Office when the Venezuelan Embassy was invaded.

Thank you for yet another outstanding presentation and great guest. When Prof. De Zayas says ‘in the service of this relentless eliteless oligarchical system’ and their ‘relentless brainwashing of the population,’ he’s right, but I believe there’s more to this conceptualisation. It was Derrida who said ‘there’s nothing outside text,’ in essence there’s no space outside language. Your presentation was conducted in English, the lingua franca of the world, the ideological ‘town square’ where we meet, and it is at the centre of this pace that we need to look for the source of the malady. I live in the UK, probably the most controlled and contorted ideological and material space in the world. Here the present, and by extension reality, has disappeared. The entire nation is a giant movie set, where the ruling order has, over several generations but especially in the last two decades, has literally industrialised psychosis. The actors of this expanding stage and staged reality are not ‘brainwashed’ per se, but have been duped into thinking of themselves as ‘stakeholders’ in the future tech reveries and fantasies of this ruling kakistocracy. In essence these ‘stakeholders’ are from one side hooked to the fake, ersatz narrative by their identities and on the other jacked into the system by their financial and existential life lines. No independent intellectual/ideological existence is possible outside this state’s prevailing narrative. In fact the population are just minions, constantly engaged in reading their sustaining narrative’s demands, and resonating accordingly. In short active participants in the deception, hoaxes and lies of the ‘state’ because these lies are highly lucrative to the overall economic state that sustains them. This is the dark side of what Prime Minister Thatcher called the ‘stakeholder society,’ except she didn’t then elaborate on what exactly are we meant to be stakeholders in. It is clear now that this stake-holding is in a vampiric economic system built on the proceeds of war, destruction and economic exploitation of peoples, largely in the global south. This is the essential malady of our time, not just the brainwashing but the actual corruption of the individual who has been tricked into giving up her’s or his present, of ‘being’ on their own terms into being a stakeholder into an imagined fantasy that they are paying for and will never live to see or enjoy.

Pascal - do check out the terms of the NATO-enforced "peace treaty" in the Serbian civil war in 1999. Both parties (Serbian and Kosovans) rejected the terms of the proposed peace treaty. One of the terms was that no US participant of the implementation of the plan (esp. the military!) would be liable for any crime committed by them. The parties were given 14 days to commit, and when they refused, NATO's bombing campaign started.

    Dr Zayas:
In the circumstances that you have very frankly and honestly described, if it is the case that the US, Germany, Israel and indeed any other countries of Europe or Western World who are all members of the UNO but do not follow the International Laws and can openly breach such Laws, must be mentioned in your Geneva School of Diplomacy Official Syllabuses and covered in your study/research that so and so super powers can breach the international law without facing the consequences. It will be worth pointing out the recent Israel attack on the Diplomatic mission in Syria as a real example.
Not only this you should consider appropriate legal solutions to overcome such problems or conclude if that is an impossible idea despite all the progress we have so far made including visits to the moon. You must show the WAY forward to the World and make history, here is your chance. If you want any help/guidance on specific points, I would like to try and you can consider many draft proposals.........

ii) that swiss federal councillor r.merz lied publicly to swindle through a referendum with tax breaks for the rich BUT then the adulterated ballot result was allowed to stand even though merz was denounced and he conceded he had lied to mislead the voters.
iii) that the western press wasn't that free in 'the good old days' either (before the 1980s), e.g., post 1945 under truman and then mccarthysm.

Prof. De Zayas is wrong when he stated that the case Mexico-Ecuador hasn't happened before in Latin America, not even during the dictatures. He should look for Elena Quinteros case, in Uruguay in 1976.
Uruguayan military personnel kidnapped Quinteros, a teacher, from the garden of the venezuelan embassy, where she was trying to seek refuge. The case make the venezuelan government break diplomatic relationships with Uruguay for 8 years. They only reopen their embassy when democracy returned, and the new government of Uruguay offer a formal apology.

And the electorate free to elect anyone of sound mind and judgement. (A good system for this compromising fewest (one) of Arrow's Theorem constraints is a *_cumulative vote_* system, and that is best run highly locally, so fairly small electorate regions where people can easily know their candidates in character.)
