$3.29 for high octane that is incredibly cheap. I pay just $shy of 6 in Maui. I’m glad you got this considering buying as a beach car. FYI a double quarter pounder with cheese large fry and Coke is $22 in Maui.
Watch out for the air struts and the convertible top. Hopefully with the mileage most defects have popped up and been repaired already. Dont forget the vaccum lines on the W12 in the back of the engine...

I had a 2006 VW Phaeton which is on the same platform. I must say that it was probably the finest car I’ve ever driven and I have owned over 150 cars in my lifetime, from Hudsons to Packards and everything in between. That being said I sold it shortly after the air conditioning compressor failed at 45,000 miles or so. It was a $5000 fix in 2016. The dealer said they was the worst job they had ever seen, worse than an engine swap- they had to replace almost everything in the system. That experience put the Fear of God in me so l took my lumps and sold it. I just didn’t trust it after that. Kind of like a few women in my past…….Some of you know what I’m talking about.

I don't think you would have to mess with the intake plenums to get at its plugs. I think you pull both air filter housings and you should reveal all of its plugs and injectors 😊

@@AutoAuctionRebuilds haha yeah I fixed a vacuum leak it had very common Bentley issue I replaced the lower control arms got them for a VW Phaeton the ones from Bentley were 6times the price for the same exact part just with a different logo and I just did the starter on it was a pain got a new one in there so you don’t have to worry about that cost me $500 bucks and 2days of work after that she ran beautifully gas cap in the truck there’s a emergency popper don’t know why it never worked for me treat her well bud an awesome car for the price

90k is high mileage on expensive cars is crazy I got a Toyota with 250k runs like new but way cheaper and last longer then a 25k car that's crazy to me

2.29 is Outrageous. I remember there were 15 cents. In fact, you could get a whole meal for. under a dollar. Then days are gone.
The mcd’s app is the only way to make it worth it. Every time I go I get a medium Big Mac meal for $6.
90K Means it's been driven which is good. Now for the bad news... It's getting up to where it will need a lot of maintenance items done. Curious to find out what the warnings are about. It seems like some issues were deferred by the previous owner. Read the manual! I'm wondering if the reason you can't open the filler door is due to "switchology". Meaning the conditions were not met to allow the filler door to open.
VW is known for having issues with stuck fuel doors. My Tiguan has a similar mileage and needs a new actuator.

Worked at a BL main dealer in the 70's and our sister branch in North London was a Rolls Royce main dealer and, for that reason, we did a lot of service and repairs on new RR's. Always made a point of eating our fish and chips in a Silver Shadow at lunch time; luxury.

First key was a valet key hence no trunk button on it so not a master key. They’re smart keys that learn each driver. You had 2 keys in the car at same time so that’s why it said several keys found. Valet key won’t allow you to open trunk or gas cap. You need a master key. Put new house battery (left side of trunk) and it will likely cure most lights on dash they’re very sensitive. Keep on maintainer when not in use. I also have a 2008 GTC.
You’ve also got the classic snakebite holes in the top. Plastic rivet holding top strap has disconnected and snapped off. Will eventually need a new top. 100% failure rate.

The car market is not down, I am a dealer out of Houston and I can pick up those older Bentleys or any luxury cars of that era all day long for that price,why? Cause no one wants to deal with those cars and they are a nightmare to work on and buy parts for 😂,i do understand its for content thou.

There was a radio personality whom I met through my brother in law who owned some homes here in Dallas and Plano that owned a Bentley Continental Coupe blue and purple mix paint with the tan or peanut butter interior tinted windows. My BIL did computer work for him and he offered to take me for a ride once but unfortunately he passed away but Bentley makes some beautiful vehicles!

It’s not high mileage in general but when it’s higher mileage for an “exotic” car like this then yeah. It’s only because people see it as a nice car and not a Toyota, a car built to last. They just see it as a luxurious exotic car.
Is literally due for several major services to be done: engine coolant flush/fill, sparkplugs(12), injection and intake cleaning because if I remember right this is a GDI engine one of the first ones with that installed. Also transfer case and transmission fluid changes. 😊
So , I do agree 100% ( starting 26:59 min. ) on that statement : " Money won't ever change Me , no matter , if I'm rich or broken " . And , if I would go broken , I'll always start all over again and rebuild it . Hear-hear Randy !!! 👍🙏👍

I mean those W12's are bulletproof it's just as you say those little jobs really do add up and will bankrupt the average Joe. That said it's a beautiful 200 MPH luxury car and if I can find the right one I'll go for it as in the UK they are super cheap even low mileage, immaculate cars. Just a shame fuel is over £1.50 a litre or more for super which you need for the GT! Ouch!
Lovely car but crazy how much you paid 🤯. In the UK there's an abundance from as little as £12k ($15k). They really are in the realms of poverty spec owners/service schedule. Given that the bulk of cars I see broken down on the road in the UK are VW/Audi I'd avoid this like the plague (and my daily is a Maserati). Fwiw an Aston would be the better choice.
I’m watching this little late have been trying to catch up but man Randy I can’t wait to take my mom for movies and dinner in my Bentley I went from owning a Acura tl when I was 16 and lost everything I slowly got old cars and built my way up Toyota Corolla ,2001 audi, 2008altima ,99 toyota solora ,was homeless for a but before I got my shit together now I own three cars a Altima 15 , 17 Chrysler 300 and my special baby my 2008 g35 god helped me when I most neeeded him.

That mileage is not a deterent , it means the car will be far less prone to "standing caritus" even though the car has 2 batteries , the electrics will be in better shape than one with 15 thousand miles at that age , all the seals will be well lubricated , you may be in for a bit of suspension work if not done already . The damn thing is a crossbred german english thing , not a ferrari or even worse a maserati . Those cars , if cared for do easily 250 thousand miles , well cared for ones add another 100 thousand miles . A little scrub up will have her looking good again .

How is 90K miles considered a high mileage? We have Phaeton W12 (not turbo dough) cars here in Europe with over 300K still driving fine.
Randy, I have a tendency to look at both side of things. On one hand, I can see how your "rags to riches" Horatio Alger kind of success can be inspiring to others. It's the American Dream which so many aspire to. On the other hand, like many Americans you spend a lot of money on things which you say at the end of the day really doesn't matter to you as it could be gone in a flash. It could for sure, but hopefully not. I'm the example of such an American. I didn't grow up poor, but both my parents did and they did well for themselves. However, they saved their money fearing they could end up poor again which frightened them. This point was lost on me as in a matter of a few years went through a small fortune it took my parents a lifetime to save. I only hope your financial legacy turns out better than mine as it's easy to lose, but can be so hard to regain.

Since when 90K miles is high mileage? My son just sold a 1999 Chevy pickup with 435K miles on it. Oh and it's not worn out.
Buying used Bentley, is risky most of all the Bentley owners that I have seen were in bad shape, needing to be completely renovated 70percent before you could even drive it.down the road, this car was well maintained. Know they don't have ninty nine cent burgers after, there employees are getting 15 dollars a hour.
Perfect example of why, regardless of aesthetics, I always choose black leather over tan\white. Aging can sometimes be ugly.
Just consider the used Bentley is 25k down and 350/mo (for repairs). So just compare it to buying a brand new 45k gas car.
Don’t get your hopes and emotions high bro. I’ve owned one of those “2010 GT Speed convertible “ and trust me… there are no diamonds in the ruffs, no unicorns, no to good to be trues with these cars. No matter what you paid for it… it’s not a good deal. Don’t get attached to it, drive it a few miles and get out of it…

Congrats on the nightmare. No but honestly everything that could go wrong on that car probably went wrong and was fixed except maybe some electrical issues. They are notorious for that.
