I've never been behind the wheel of a Tesla but I now am driving the new Nikola TRE BEV. It blows away other trucks and takes off like a Tesla. I can even do a small burnout without a trailer. Electrics are so much fun and have so much torque.

On tesla cars this trip changed some ideas i have around tesla really! 360 miles on a model 3 is very acceptable range for a city use or even travelling if theres enough charging stations! Here in saudi arabia i think offically we got 1 that isn't near me so if some one got it any how home charging is good enough for it and 576 kilometers of range is enough for a daily use of a month give or take before charging it if u wont charge it every night like any tesla owner

I factor in things like: Speed - I can eat an Elantra or a Camaro SS for breakfast with my eyes closed. Options - an Elantra can't even begin to compare to the comfort features this car has in 2022. Comfort - An Elantra (I've owned 5) isn''t even in the same class of car as a Tesa - Reliability / warranty (your Elantra has no warranty at all - I have 10yrs / 100k miles) - Maintenance - I have no oil changes, no brakes to replace, no transmission to keep serviced and no coolant to flush - All wheel drive for those wet / winter conditions (Elantra can't do that) - fuel economy - You get 36mpg which is great! However for 90% of my needs I can get 1000 miles for $20.00 charging at home, which you also can't even begin to come close to in economy.

Why would I replace the battery? They have a 10yr / 100k mile warranty. And who wants to keep a car for 15 years? It'll be obsolete and outdated lol.

G'day mate, your electricity is cheap. In Brisbane Australia, the cost is .26c AU per KWH. That is.19c US per KWH. Your .08c sounds pretty good. Standard unleaded gas in OZ is $5.00 US per gal.

How do you figure it is cheaper and more environmentally friendly to run this. Electric car when it takes coal fired energy plants and diesel generators to charge them ? makes no common sense at all ?

As your new Tesla ages the time it takes to charge will get longer do to age and the amount of charges.
Gas here in Indiana is $4.16 ish a gallon for regular.

If you get into the full self driving beta program it’s a whole different experience. What you have now only drives by itself on the freeway not city streets.
Randy I'm here in Portland Oregon and gas is $5.05 a gallon.
I personally don’t care about the gas savings or lack there of. I want one just to say I have had one. That said my old brick nose fits is paid for along with my house. I absolutely do not want another car payment added to my wallet until it’s time to get my wife another new car.

There are some who look at Teslas and consider them to be nothing more than glorified golf carts. I feel that the cars have great potential, but range anxiety is their Achilles heel. What would be a game changer for them is to incorporate some form of inductive charging (similar to what you're used to with your cell phone) to allow the cars to pull electricity wirelessly for either battery charging or to run the motors directly.
Granted, it would require an infrastructure investment (burying wires in the road or something like that), but it seems like that's the next logical step for EVs in general.
360miles of range is through the state of Oregon on I5, border to border, with a little space to spare,, :-)

No, you don't have to do coolant, and no there is no oil to worry about.
