Great. Next idea for CT: What's it like living with a ex police car. You buy 3 different police cars and test them in every day use and police testing.
I drove a '92 Corrado SLC with the VR6 engine for five years, and when I heard they were going to produce a 72 degree W12 from this engine for Audi I was enthused. Then they produced the Continental with the twin turbo version of this engine. From what I have read, this car with 600 hp is so fast that many of the owners really don't have the driving skills to deal with the performance and there have been a bunch of BAD high speed accidents with this car. I wanted one immediately! Problem: I like small lightweight sports cars, I drive a '14 Cayman S, 2976 pounds of probably the best all around sports car in the world, better than the GT4/GT3, since I have 97% the performance with less than half the cost and the same gold-plated crest on the hood. Thus, the 5500 pound British boat really isn't my thing but you cannot argue with the performance!
I love seeing an expensive car get driven a long way. Feel like that's the whole purpose of a car. Enjoy it as much as you can! Shouldn't be sitting in a driveway looking pretty not doing what it should be doing.
That's my plan if I ever buy an expensive car. I'm going to get my money's worth. It was designed to be driven, not looked at in a garage, and I would be doing a disservice to the engineers to not use their car as they intended. I paid for the driving experience, I'm going to get that driving experience.

I would have had a great time in a Bentley on that trip, your long hours trying to find the right one paid off, definitely my favorite car on Car Trek 8
10 years ago when I worked at RiverCity condominiums in downtown Chicago I met a resident who had one of these, similar wrap color that was rumored to be owned by Kim Kardashian before the previous owner. I was hoping this was the car, if it was I know that would've been the tag line of the video because you know a salesman would've passed that information down the line.
Yeah, considering my w8 Passat was about $2.12 a mile to run the car, I can't imagine what a w12 would be. I had a manual transmission in four motion. This one's got an automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. Drive. I would not want to be that guy. Except I would really like to be a Bentley owner so I'm not sure what to think
And for those of you who recognized how rare this car is. A W8 4motion and manual is one of 86 in the world. For those of you who figured out how expensive two bucks a mile to run the car is, oftentimes driving to get things costs more than the things. And if you want to know that's just in maintenance. That's before gas oil, tires, brakes and insurance. Let's say Taco Bell is a 4 mile round trip and cost you $7.49. Well, driving there would cost you $8 to do that. By contrast, my Nissan Titan is about $0.15 a mile in a worst case scenario to run
my logic is that you should hunt very high milege cars because if it run 200k (for a Bentley) miles it could do it again it has proven to you that it can one time it will another but with an 80k mile car you dont know it could autodestroy itself at 150k or lower
Man I would love to do what they do for work. Tooling around in run cars making content for UA-cam. Joking around and having fun with friends. I know there is a lot of work behind the scenes but man. I would give up my 8 hour a day job anytime for what they do.

I like to hear you talk. You are a good telling a story like Morgan freeman
I love Bentleys but I'm on my 3rd Genesis and I've never had ANY of those mechanical problems. I am spoiled by reliability.
Autotempest is a nice search engine but to be honest the price points are always very high and always better deals with less miles on car gurus lol
That color looks so good on that car
Agreed this is exactly the right color for the Bentley.
Modify it with a Holden Astra electric power steering pump it will never die.
0:34 my Bentley maintenance expenses 5 years $600
Yeah, considering my w8 Passat was about $2.12 a mile to run the car, I can't imagine what a w12 would be.
The most appropriate solution therefore is not to drive the car
I could listen to Ed read a phone book and he would make it sound fascinating
my logic is that you should hunt very high milege cars because if it run 200k (for a Bentley) miles it could do it again it has proven to you that it can one time it will another but with an 80k mile car you dont know it could autodestroy itself at 150k or lower
I loved the v12 vanquish
Great storytelling, keep it up.
PLEASE, somebody, tell us how the three of you were able to shoot on the StarTrek bridge!
I love the Bentley but most of all I loved the start of the latest CT. I’m not even a Star Trek fan either!
It should be "start wreck" in this context, surely?
The winner of Car Trek 8 should be able to drive Rich Rebuilds V8 Tesla 😂
Bently are made only 15 miles from me , see many around the countryside of this area being test driven
I actually checked out auto tempest and was very pleased with it
Man I would love to do what they do for work. Tooling around in run cars making content for UA-cam. Joking around and having fun with friends. I know there is a lot of work behind the scenes but man. I would give up my 8 hour a day job anytime for what they do.
