Great idea! The molle frag pouches are a great GP pouch for smaller items. Try adding in a cord lock and you can adjust the tension on the pouch for different items.
If a .308 mag fits - it will fit. AK47 mags are significantly longer and curved which throws the balance off with such a short pouch. Consider 20rnd AK mags for this to work.
