Hi, Claudia! Very informative post as usual! You answered important questions wonderfully! I knew you’d like the MD Solar Science SPF 50. It’s especially perfect for runners like you. I was going to try a tinted version of that brand and let you know how I like it. But maybe I will give the EltaMD a go too. Thank you for the thorough reviews!
I am so glad you recommended the MD Solar Science, it is awesome. I have actually tried one of their tined versions, but prefer the Elta Md for the tint. Let me know which one you get and how you like it.

Happy Sunday morning lovely Tamara & Claudia 💜! Fabulous collab esp as an owner of 20+ sunscreens myself this video is going on my saved list 😊. Great info and demos. Have a wonderful rest of your weekends! Off to layer up my spf before a Sunday stroll.

I really enjoyed your Sephora SOF video as well, and can’t wait to see your other 20+ sunscreens!

@@claudiaglows oh! I forgot to add my current favorite sunscreens ... Of course I love the Peter Thomas Roth max/mineral SPF 45. It’s Super creamy for my dry skin. But I will say if I don’t let the layers dry in-between I do get some buildup in my eye crinkles and along the hairline. I’m also crazy about Evy technology b/c of the advanced (Non-FDA approved 😕... so pokey) filters. Here in Colorado the sun is brutal and I don’t feel like I can go out without the extra UVA protection.
My favourite sunscreens are Elta Md UV Elements, it is a bit dark so I mix it with Paula's choice Super Light Daily Wrinkle Defense which is also tinted. I will have to try the restore, it sounds very similar to the Elements. Great review, thanks Claudia, PS love the bloopers!!!
Hi Amanda, lovely to hear from you, as always❤️
I actually found the Elta md Elements a bit light, so the restore might be too dark for you. They have another one I really like, it is the UV physical 41, that one is quite light. It is not as glowy as the Elements, but def. a light tint you might like
Thank you so much for your sweet comment

Great video and suggestions! The ones that I use you didn’t mention but have used them for years. The color-science and Alastin skin tint. I actually got my color science order yesterday and inside got a sample of Elta one you like, can’t wait to try it! ❤️ have a nice Sunday
I am a fan of colorescience also - I love the eye care product.
Hi Melissa, is is always so nice to hear from you❤️

Loved your informative video!!! And Tamara’s too. Lots of valuable info. I use Elta MD and have for years. Usually use the clear but will now try the Restore. It seems a better choice for me. I’ve also used Revision for years when I need coverage. I was disappointed with their price increase so will not buy it again. Thank you both for so many options!!!
Hi Judy, it is great to hear from you! Thank you for your kind comment❤️
I think you will love the tinted restore, but please keep me posted. And yes, the Revision is way too expensive, and luckily there are so many other great options now
I hope you will have a wonderful week

Thanks for the great review on these different sunscreens! I have the Epicuren on its way to me so I was happy to hear you like it. I am in need of a body sunscreen so I think I will purchase the MD solar science from Leah. You have beautiful skin. Love the bloopers. Have a great Sunday! 💕
Hi Debbie, I think you will love the Epicuren. It feels incredible on the skin, and I honestly do not want to wash it off. It also smells really good. I just wish it was a tat darker.
And the MD solar science is awesome as well.

I loved this video so much! Sunscreen is the best skincare we can use. I didn’t use it for decades and now I am paying the consequences. I loved how many sunscreens you tried and providing us with such a detailed review! I have tried only one (the Drunk Elephant and I didn’t like it because it always peeled even with no skincare bellow, I am glad it was a deluxe sample) I have a sample of the Biossance and after your review I am so curious and anxious to try! I loved the way the video ended 😊😊 🥰🥰🥰 Have a beautiful Sunday my beautiful Claudia!

Great collaboration! Love you both! Most tinted sunscreen I have tried dried out my skin or are too orange/dark. I like EltaMD brand and Colorescience. Still, I need moisturizer underneath. Thanks!
Hi Mira, thank you so your sweet comment ❤️
Have you tried the Drmtlgy? It is really hydrating and a bit more in the beige site.
@@claudiaglows yes, I did. I didn’t like the color on me and my eyes were irritated few hours after applying it. This happens to other tinted sunscreens too. I didn’t want it to go to waste so I am using it at home(and not around the eyes). Thanks anyway! Hope you are having a great weekend
Two others you might like are Suntegrity and Colorescience. Colorescience has a favorite eye care, sunscreen product. These are both zInc oxide based.
Hi Jane, lovely to hear from you. I have actually tried both of them last year and really liked them. I love the suntegrity body sunscreen as well.

Suntegrity Impeccable is my FAVE sunscreen. It's just sooooo $$$, so I like to get a shade too dark to mix in with cheaper screens that would leave a white cast without.
Thank you for doing all of that for us! It was so helpful. Claudia, please try Origins Ginzing SPF 40. I just love it!! I’d be curious to know what you think of it. No one ever talks about this one and it’s so awesome!

Right now, when it is still a bit cooler and dryer, I use moisturiser under SPF, however, in summer it gets super hot and humid here, so just use SPF after my serums.

Hi, Claudia! Thanks for all your informative videos. Titanium dioxide is also a full-spectrum mineral/physical sunscreen ingredient available in the US. Combined with zinc oxide, it's a perfect combo.
Hi Tracey, lovely to hear from you. Thank you for the kind comment. I agree, combined with zinc, titanium dioxide is a great sun filter. Unfortunately by itself, it does not protect form UVA 1 rays. It is however often much more cosmetically elegant.
Do you have a favorite SPF?
Thank you so much for watching, wishing you a wonderful week
xo
@@claudiaglows Ah-ha! Your reply had me check what I *thought* I'd verified last night. Seems I got only partial information, so you are quite right: "Microfine titanium dioxide protects against UVA 2 (315 to 340 nm) and UVB but does not protect against UVA 1,...." (www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK537164/). I am fond of EltaMD sunscreens, and have been using them for 15-some years. For the face and neck, I love EltaMD UV Clear (untinted, broad-spectrum/SPF 46). I sometimes mix the UV Clear with EltaMD UV Elements (tinted, broad-spectrum/SPF 44), because the tint is slightly dark for me. But my current favorite tinted facial sunscreen is Australian Gold Botanical Tinted Face Sunscreen (broad spectrum, SPF 50). For the body, I love Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunscreens (chemical) in 50/70/100+ SPF. I just love the clean, fresh scent and the lightweight feel. You might want to try the Australian Gold-It's quite lovely on the face, almost mousse-like in texture as you spread it. Also, it's very inexpensive: 3 oz for US$15.00!
@@TraceyTaylor I have been really curious about the Australian gold, but heard it was a bit drying
Do you experience that as well?
@@claudiaglows I'm very oily-skinned (still, at age 57, and even after Accutane at age 34!), but with the occasional dry patch or flake here and there. I do not find it drying, but it will sometimes cling to the occasional skin flake. I really like it! I use it as my foundation, and then spot-conceal where necessary. I find it a nicer, slightly matte-finish sunscreen, but not drying.
@@TraceyTaylor thank you for that, that helps a lot. I think it would be to dry for me, but I am so happy it works well for you
Great work Claudia! Can I ask if you know if there’s a difference between pure sunscreen spf 30 & a moisturiser with spf 30? I am enjoying using Avenue anti rougeurs unify at the moment but not sure if it provides as much protection as a pure sunscreen. Thank you.
Thank you Lou, it is always lovely to hear from you! I think if both of them say SPF 30, they are the same thing. It’s just marketing. So many SPF’s now basically double as a moisturizer. Since in the United States sunscreens are regulated by the FDA, if it says 30, it needs to be 30, sunscreen on moisturizer, doesn’t matter. I hope this helps, wishing you a wonderful day
xx

ok this is weird Claudia, was testing sunscreens yesterday for myself Lol . So happy you did this one, i really need to find a cheaper mineral sunscreen. I love my Josie Maran but it is so $$$ because i have to pay in Canadian dollars on top of it. So happy you mentioned the amount needed and also the % of zinc, it is really hard to figure out if the percentage has an impact. I try to go high as possible, my Josie Maran is not that high actually but i love it so much. i am also using now a cream of PhotozymeMd ( enzymes that repair dna and protect from sun,) before sunscreen and at night. Just started using it, i find the science with Photzymes interesting. Love your collaboration together also with Tamara 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Have a lovely sunday beautiful XXX p.s love your shirt !
Hi beautiful
I am always so happy to see you here. You know, I do like a high % of zinc, but I also think the overall composition of the formulation is important. If they add things such as raspberry oil or shea butter for example, they have their own sun protection properties .

Hi Emer,
I’ve had Klairs in my “spf to try basket” and was just getting ready to look up if it passed/failed. You are so right! @@bluecurlygirl I’ve repurchased Altruist as well. Finished it up last summer and purchased the new formula. Hopefully a bit less of a white cast! Lol. I did verify with them that they are an Amazon verified seller ... always worrying about Amazon skincare purchases but more and more companies are using “A” so feeling less concerned.
@@beyond50skin Me too but I went on their website first and it directed me to their shop so felt safe buying it there. I see so much of the Ordinary on amazon and Deciem have specified so many times that no-one on Amazon is an authorised seller for them so I definitely avoid that. I bought olaplex on there and then I bought it from a licensed seller in Ireland (contact given to me by olaplex) and the difference in the texture and smell was just night and day.
Right now my two favorites are Elta MD UV Elements SPF 44 and make p:rem - UV Defense Me. Daily Sun Fluid. I mix them both as I find that the elta md’s tint is a bit too dark for me. I’m happy I finally found spf I like and I can afford.

@@claudiaglows I'm good, super glad it's Spring! Are you getting excited to go back to Paris, you lucky little bug!!
@@thevagabondtribune6803 I am getting exited to leave here 😊
Glad you are well! I have really missed tut
Oh, you might also like the biossance, it’s quite hydrating. So it the Drmtlgy
@@claudiaglows ive wanted to try the new biossance. i had their first one and really liked it even though it did white cast, but i dont generally buy spf 30, i like atleast 40 but usually go for 50 (which explains why they dry my face out).
Hey Beautiful Claudia!🙆🏼♀️I really loved this! I'm definitely going to try the EltaMD now! I've been loving the Murad Essential C Environmental Shield currently, but it's too pricey. You've obviously done so well with using your sunscreen, as your skin is supple and glowing!✨I love how you showed the actual amount we should be using, very illustrative! Hope you are having a Beautiful Sunday, my friend!🌱🥑☀️🐬🌊🪂 💙XoCheryl
Hi gorgeous, lovely to hear from you ❤️
I think you will like the Elta Md , keep me posted.
I hope you are having a great weekend, would love to finally chat with you soon ❤️
Hi Claudia ,
Which elta md is a little darker than the elements ? I will need a little darker in the summer .. also the color science is fabulous , it’s very illuminating ..
I derma rolled last night and it was a success . I purchased the myolift , how soon can I do a treatment after derma rolling ? I didn’t get any bleeding but I could tell it worked ..
Hi Sue, I think the restore is a darker than the elements. For me the elements was a bit light, but I’m loving the restore. Yay, I’m happy to hear the rolling went well. I would wait a day and then you should be fine using micro current.
Please keep me updated

Love this collab! I have been trying to find a good affordable facial sunscreen! I love your top! Do you mind sharing where it is from?
Hi Kesha, thank you so much for your sweet comment. I hope between Tamara and I you found an SPF that might work
The top is quite old, I think I bought it 10 years ago. It is by Hardtail. They have some really great stuff.
I hope you are having a great weekend

@@claudiaglows Thank you so much for letting me know. I hope you have a great day 😎
@@keshakeke you are so welcome! Thank you! You too ❤️
Hello lovely Claudia. There’s are 3 fantastic ones that I use that have no cast, 20% zinc oxide, no silicone, no parabens, no fragrance. Cruelty and reef free and zero or low in PUFA. Please try them out. U will be amazed. And I’ve tried lots but these are 3 are some of the best out there: Pippette, Solara Time Traveller ageless spf and ghost democracy. Xx
Hello gorgeous Suzy
Thank you so much for those 3 suggestions! I will definitely look into them and am sure if you live them, I will as well.
Thank you for being here, I hope you will have a great day

The Epicuren looks beautiful on you! Too bad about the $$$
It is a GORGEOUS sunscreen! But I find the tint a bit too light for me
If you can afford it, I think it would be awesome for you!
I just got the Josie Maran Protect and Perfect 47 and it is waaaay too pink and sparkly on me. It would probably make a lovely highlighter on girls who wear too much makeup, I mean makeup, lol.
I agree, the color did not work for me either
beautiful person smiling with his eyes I love you.
Hi sweet Bilal ❤️
Hi. From Tamara's show.

Would love for you to test the Tatcha line. They have a 35 SPF combined as a primer. Zinc oxide 15%. Octisilate 5%. Thanks much!
Hi Mary, lovely to hear from you ❤️
I have always been curious about the Tatcha line, and wil definitely look into your suggestion. Thank you so much!

I measured my sunscreen this morning. Wow, a quarter teaspoon is a lot! I ordered MD solar science to wear for my morning workout. I learned so much from your video. Thank you!
@@maryjeanrussell3012 isn’t it a lot?!
And someone just said that dr Dray says to use a full teaspoon! That seems a bit much 😊

Hi Claudia, thank you for a wonderful review, I already have a new list of what I'd like to try :-). Have you thought of making similar review of European sunscreens, since you are actually living in Europe now as well? Ordering so much from outside Europe is starging to ruin me with all the import fees and taxes :-)
Hi beautiful Katka, it is so nice to hear from you❤️
You know, I really tried to include more European sunscreens, but I could not find too many with a high amount of zinc oxide. Do you have any suggestions? If there are any you want me to try or take a look at, I would be happy to. I would be easier for me as well, if I could just go to the store and buy it ;)
I will keep looking and hopefully between you and I we can find a few good European once.
Did you get your derminator yet?
I hope you are well and will have a great week
xoxo
@@claudiaglows Thank you for your kind reply :-). I actually have one that I have been using lately, it is HELIOCARE 360° MINERAL TOLERANCE FLUID SPF 50. I think it is the only I tried that is not drying me out, although the consistency is quite different from e.g. ELTA MD, very runny, some cast but not much. However, the Zinc Oxide come after Titanium Dioxide in INCI. I was not able to find exact numbers though. But I am really hoping it to be good, it is actually my favoure one now :-). For the Derminator, it should arrive within May, I am going with dermaroller in the meantime, also started my Tretinoin, following your way, this is my second month so twice a week now :-). Have a wonderful spring Claudia, looking forward to your next video :-).
@@katerinazemanova6259 I if she wanted to try the helio care, but since I couldn’t find the percentage of zinc and titanium, I did not purchase it. I’m happy to know you like it though. I’m excited for you to get to Derminator, and good job on the tretenoin! Please keep me updated. Sending a big hug your way

Hi beautiful ❤️
I am late to watching your video I find that all sunscreens dry my skin except Josie Maran I need protection however moisture beyond. I am searching for a less expensive one for the body. Thank you Claudia
Hi Renee, it is lovely to hear from you you, as always ❤️
I am glad to hear the Josie Maryan works for you!
I really like the coola mineral for the body. Smells delicious and not much of a white cast

Have you seen the video from @thebudgetdermatologist about a link between titanium dioxide and hair loss? Would love to hear your impression
Hi Lisa, I have not seen that video but will def. check it out. However, without having seen it, I would say it would be almost impossible for titanium in SPF to cause hair loss. Titanium, unless nano particles, is quite a big molecule and just sits on the skin, it does not get absorbed into the bloodstream. Nano particles, depending on the size can be absorbed, and there is some concern with the safety of nano particles, but so far, at least at a certain percentage, they are considered safe. But even with the concern nano particles race, I have not heard of hair loss being one of them. I will however look further into it. And as a friend of mine says "there is nothing that does not exist" :)
@@claudiaglows yes there definitely needs to be more research but I thought it was interesting. Here’s the link ua-cam.com/video/y4Q8Z6ngGD8/v-deo.html
I recently purchased and started using the MD Solar Science SPF and it's not my favorite because it feels like it takes too long to absorb. Otherwise it feels nice.
Hi Jennifer, it is nice to hear from you! I agree, because of the silicones, it feels as if it does not sink in. However, the other day I used it after a few days after microneedle out and my skin was very dry, and strangely enough, my skin just sucked it up. Do you have any other sunscreens you like?
I hope you’re having a great week, thank you so much for watching

I find that many of the sunscreens I have tried seem to remain oily after applied and then make it hard to apply makeup over them.
Do you have any suggestions on how to avoid the oily residue so that I can apply makeup over top and not have such a shiny, oily face? I recently tried the Drmtlgy but it left my face so oily and shiny that even with foundation over it I looked greasy !!! Help !!! I have very pale skin and many of the tinted versions are much too dark for my complexion, but the others seem to leave such a white cast that it is difficult to look natural with foundation over top . Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.
Hi Becky, thank you for being here. Personally, I like a hydrating, dewy sunscreen, since I do not use makeup on top. But, if you use makeup, I would suggest an SPF for which is not as dewy or hydrating and possibly oil free.
I have heard great things about Australian gold, but have personally not used it. It comes in a couple different shades. I actually have the EltaMd UV Physical 41. It is tinted, but quite light and it is oil free. I only use that one to workout, since it does not give me the dewy look I like, but I would imagine it is great under makeup. It comes in a big tube as well and the price is not bad. I also love the Neova tinted. It is a light tint as well, and sinks right in.
Aside from that, as I said, I would look for SPF's that are oil free and do not say dewy or glowy finish, but rather matt finish, and I hope that will work much better for you. The other option is to use a moisturising spf, such as Drmtlgy, but not use additional moisturiser under it
I hope this helps. Please keep me posted
Wishing you a great weekend
xx
@@claudiaglows Thanks so much for the advice Claudia ! I may give the EltaMd a try and see what happens. I have spent so much money on various sunscreens over the last year I almost hate to try anything else for fear it will be another waste of money. I have tried a brand called Tizo which has a primer and sunscreen mixture with an SPF of 40 but it is almost too dry and often settles in my wrinkles. I will see if I can find some samples of some of the items you mentioned and go from there. Thanks again for taking the time to respond. Have a lovely weekend. !!
@@beckykueng3017 Please keep me posted, Becky. I know finding the right sunscreen is almost like finding the right partner. I am constantly on the search for an even better one as well. Sunscreen, not partner ;).

Hi there I have a question why do you not put it on your eyes?
Hi Delia
That’s a great question! You know I never even think about putting it on my eyes, but I really should
Do you put your SPF on your eyes?
@@claudiaglows yes
Did you test them in the sun?
Yes 😊
No burn, no color with any of them
As much as I love the Ulta non-tinted, it still gets on my shirts and jackets and leaves a beige stain.
Hi Donna, I agree, the rubbing off on shirts is a bit of a bummer with really all of these
I think it's more like a full teaspoon on your face 🙏
Hi Michelle
Do you really think so? That works be a crazy amount! I had a hard time rubbing in 1/4 tap😀
@@claudiaglows yes according to Dr Dray dermatologist I am sure she recommends 1 teaspoon..... I know its a lot I struggle getting it rubbed in, I have tried so many but the Japanese Spfs are the best I have tried, yes style online is a good website for sunscreen from Japan and Korea, they can take a, while to arrive 🙏❤️
