      @@claudiaglowsHello dear. I am Polish. I am 43 years old and I enjoyed a super young look. Unfortunately, due to the RF treatment I lost facial fat and now I look old and sad with sunken cheeks. You look beautiful now, your face is full. Is it because you gained weight or because of Sculptra? You also used Adipeau, does it work? Please tell me what you did to have such a beautiful face again. I am desperate with my appearance. ❤

    Claudia thank you so much for your transparency and honesty around how big of difference lighting can make. I seriously feel like I am starting to get skin dysphoria from watching all these skincare videos of influencers either blowing out every imperfection with lighting or using filters that they wont admit to. I cant remember the last time I've seen a pore or a frown line. I can do a huge rant on this but I will spare you. Even some dermatologists on here use extreme filters and lie about it. Anyways I love you and some of the people I found through you because of the honesty and willingness to show your true skin. Plus you are gorgeous and aspirational in so many ways!

    Morning lovely Claudia. Lighting is definitely key to showing the beauty of skin. Yours is glowing! Happy belated birthday 🥳
    I Always enjoy your healthy nutrition videos. I so agree about sunscreen, despite being boring, it’s IMPERATIVE to a dedicated skincare routine. It’s the only change my lovely 83 year old mother made about 10 years ago and it’s dramatically improved the youthful look of her skin and actually reversed some of her pigmentation. Happy Tuesday to you and all the lovelies here.💜

    You always look great Claudia! Most youtubers would not say it was the lighting or zoom call videos that enhance their skin. Your honesty is appreciated. I once commented on a youtuber that I follow who has gorgeous blue eyes, but how they looked extremely blue in a particular video. She was kind as you are in her response explaining that she was sitting in front of a window in direct lighting.
    Tretinoin at .05 has been a game changer for me for more than 2 decades. Very diligent about my sunscreen also. I use other things, but I do not believe if I stopped them it would make a difference like Tretinoin and suncreen. For reference I am 67. Another informative video. 👌

      Hi Claudia I have watched nearly all of your videos now and they are all so informative. I do get confused with layering ingredients. For example when you use the tretinoin do you use it first then what do you layer with it? Would it be possible to show your morning routine and evening it's a lot to ask but I'm sure there are a lot of us ladies who get confused. Thank you so much for sharing your skincare over the years you look fabulous ❤❤❤

    Hi Claudia.. I just started using The Agency about 1 months ago. It’s FANTASTIC! I love the individual formals. My melasma has improved and I appreciate how they cycle the Hydroquinone and Cortisone for me with my retinol. I put my own estradiol 1% on top nightly. I noticed a difference in my 64 yo skin in the 14 day trail they sent. I also have been cycling a TCA Peel from PlatinumSkin care. Spacing them out 1 month a part commitment in doing 3. I am getting ready to do the third in 1 week. The results are far better and more effective than the last Laser I had done at the Derms office and is about $28.00 per peel vs the 1500.00 laser that yield disappointing results. Using numbing cream pre peel it’s tolerable and easy. I don’t want to use any heating devices due to buccal fat loss. Hope this is helpful and finds you well. Love your content. 21:38

    I love your honesty Claudia. One question has been on my mind since a facialist advised me not to use my serums every day, but only a few times a week. She said it would make my skin more responsive, by not putting the same ingredients on every day. It's hard to find any info about this. All the products I use advise usage on a daily basis, but I don't trust this. Obviously the companies want us to use more product so we buy more product. What is your view on this?

    • @claudiaglows
      @claudiaglows  10 місяців тому +1

      Hi Monique, thank you for your kind comment. You know I have wondered about this myself. The theory definitely makes sense, but then it also makes sense to use something regularly to get the best results from it. So what I personally started doing, is using a certain ingredients, such as a peptide product for example, until the bottle is empty, then I will go to growth factors and kind of go back-and-forth like that. I will also try different products of the same ingredient, finishing a bottle up and then trying a different one. I can’t honestly tell you that that is the right thing to do, but this also allows me to try my products for this channel.
      So, I really don’t know the answer to it. I do think just like I would diet, there’s certain things we need to get in on a daily basis, but they can, of course, come from different foods. So the skin is probably similar. Meaning you can get antioxidants one day from a vitamin C serum, the next day for my green tea serum, and so on.

    • @moniqueledesma
      @moniqueledesma 10 місяців тому

      Thanks Claudia. Yes, I agree, it’s hard to know for sure, but it does make sense. I noticed in this video, there are some things you seem to use daily, and others once or a few times a week. I’m also a firm fan of Vitamin A, which I use daily, and it sounds like you do too, aside from your neck. Is that right?

    Hi Claudia. Your skin looks beautiful and healthy. I agree with you that your diet, red light, and your peaceful nature are very important in skincare. My routine is similar to yours, but with peptides, acids, and oils. I don't use estrogen creams or growth factors. I prefer to buy my tretinoin directly from a regular pharmacy because it is much cheaper than those online pharmacies. I started using tretinoin about 10 years ago on my super sensitive skin, starting at 0.01 three times a week, and now I'm using it at 0.1 without experiencing any irritation, applying it five days a week. I choose not to use it on my neck, where I use lactic acid every night, but I do use tretinoin on my décolleté area without any problems. I wanted to ask you if you have a video on castor oil, as you know it is the trending ingredient right now. I use castor oil around my eyes and it hydrates beautifully; I will start using it on my hands too. Years ago, one of my readers (I used to have a fairly large beauty website) told me that her dermatologist in Mexico recommended using castor oil on her stretch marks, and they disappeared.

    Great video Claudia, I love the fact that you use science to support your choices. I have been using vitamin C from Timeless and I really like the results. I put it on in the morning before I put on my sunscreen. I also use Niacinamide serum and coenzyme Q10, from Timeless. I have recently started using Frankincense essential oil and the results seem promising, It plumps up my skin but I have to use it with a carrier oil like coconut oil, otherwise it can literally burn my skin. A friend of mine has started using castor oil and it has greatly diminished the red/purple spots she has on her hands and chest. Thank you again for your wonderful video. Hi Claudia. I have been using Agency for a few years. Before Agency I used their sister company Curology. I really like both services. One bottle of Agency lasts me about 4 to 5 months because I only use it 3 times a week, alternating with lactic or glycolic acid at night. Once a week I use Naturium Retrinal or sometimes more often if my skin is feeling irritated. My Agency formula is .07 tretinoin, 1% dexpanthenol, 5% tranexamic acid and 4% niacinimide.
    I am not sure it is beneficial for anti aging purposes to go over .05 on tretinoin for anti aging purposes. I have heard some physicians say anything higher than .05 is strictly for acne but Agency seems to think the higher the dose, the greater the results.

Being in the beauty trade and licensed I’ve been able to get my hands on the strengths of glycolic they use in the derm office and med spas use and I did my own peels and I feel that and the tretinoin got rid of my actinic keratoses ! I did my chest also ouch ! I will always use a toner or body cream that has glycolic in it but I do give myself a break . Agency sounds interesting but I like to try various products and not be tied down to that . Can’t wait to see your peel

I can’t be without that and my prescription Retin-A 1%. Also, I do love grow factors. Currently I’m using TNS by skin medica,been using it for years. Do you have a grow factor that you recommend? I am only 6 months older than you and I too found peptides etc not very effective. I use a good moisturiser and a good oil on my skin, retain A once or twice a week and lactic acid almost daily, I think a simple routine with good ingredients will get the results most women want from their skincare routine. Hi Claudia, thank you for all your great videos. You have a gorgeous flawless very healthy looking skin. I try my best to keep my skin healthy and glowy. My favorite products are the Skinceuticals Retinol 1.0 and the Skin Better Science Alpharet overnight. I've been using the Skinceutical retinol for the past 15 years once a week and the Alpharet for the past 4 weeks daily. The Alpharet is more gentle so I can use it every night. I clean my skin with Bioderma Sensibio water followed by Numbuzin Toner 3 and then apply Cerave PM moisturizer day and night. I use Elta MD clear spf 46 sunscreen daily for the past 15 years. When I go out I use the Haru Haru Wonder sunscreen that makes my skin more matte not so shiny like the Elta MD sunscreen. This is my simple skincare routine that works for me to achieve a healthy glowing skin. Never done any peels or lasers. I never layer more than 3 products. Less is more to avoid irritation and dryness. Thank you for your time to share all your beauty secrets! 🙂

      I would put micorneedling up there with tretionoin. Lasers are on a whole other level, but of course it depends on the kind of laser. Ablative being the most aggressive, yielding the most results, all the way to clear and brilliant being more gentle with more subtle results

    Very informative! Your skin looks great and shows you know how to take care of yourself: excellent in natural daylight. I see you've moved due to a background change.
    I've been experimenting with Adapalene 0.1% and after 2 minutes, applying a small amount of Hydromol Ointment, which is an occlusive like Vaseline. When mixed with water it goes milky, then gently rub it on the face and the front of the neck, but is still irritating if done often on the back of the neck as it's covered up with a t-shirt and bedding when sleeping. It can be itchy, but reduced if using the occlusive (slugging). If the fresh air can get to it, it won't irritate. So, keeping the cool air at night visible on the front of the neck can help. When awake, my face isn't red from the Adapalene but pale instead as a result. Also, it's not greasy from the product. It's like making a product that's worth $100 if sold by a dermatologist but is a 2 step process as it takes longer to do, but would be more effective than mixing it together. If you plan when to do this, it won't be too inconvenient. x

No moisture loss as it's locked in and hydrated. xx

    Hi Claudia! Yes, sometimes it is difficult to pinpoint what is working when using multiple products. I use basically what you do. I am a teacher, so I would spend all my summers in the sun and then off season, I would go to tanning beds. My husband told me my chest looked like the bottom of a burnt frying pan. So I finally put a stop to it. I also had plenty of damage on my face and neck as well. But like you said, applying sunscreen and using an umbrella at the beach has really helped my skin to repair itself. Funny thing, just yesterday I contacted MyAlloy to cancel my subscription for estriol M8 cream. Now I am regretting it. I will read the scientific info and will probably change my mind 😊 Something that I think has made an enormous difference in my skin is facial massage. I follow a UA-camr named Aysel. I do it twice a week. It has made a difference in my lip and forehead lines as well as the overall firmness of my skin. I have read that warming up facial muscles beforehand can intensify the benefits of microcurrent. You are a natural beauty, so you look great in any light. I thought you were going to say that love has made the biggest difference in your skin. Take care and continue enjoying your time with hubby. Sorry for going on and on, but this is my favorite subject! 🥰

Ever notice how many people take selfies in the car ? Perfect lighting! My best selfies are in the car . I have pics from the same day where I look older in my bathroom pic and younger in my car pic. I need to change my bathroom lighting cuz it makes me feel so old 🤣. I love Altreno too ! I can FINALLY use tretinoin because of it ! So much less irritating and drying than others . It’s due to Altreno being micro encapsulated and of course the formula/vehicle is lovely. Where do you get your estriol cream ? I’m considering adding that to my routine . I had laser a couple of weeks ago and I’m ready to get back to my Altreno . I’m going to try a buffered TCA peel or regular TCA ( since buffered are so expensive 😰) . Your skin is so youthful and glowing ! I’m so impressed and I love that we can truly trust what you say ! Have you ever had or done meso therapy? I’m considering trying that soon as well. I have used agency and it has been so great for me. I had spent almost two years trying to adapt to using the 0.1% adapalene and was still unable to use it on my neck and only about every other day on my face. When I started using agency, they started me on 0.009% tretinoin and I was able to use it on both my neck and face easily and every two months they increased it just a tiny bit. It was extremely easy to adapt to this way, much easier than just using the adapalene less days a week and/or diluted or sandwiched between moisturizers and occlusives. Now about a year later, I’m at 0.1% tretinoin on my face and neck without any trouble. I really recommend it!

    Agree with all the glowing comments. You are lovely and generous and knowledgeable and honest. A rare combination indeed. And your skin is #goals for sure 😊I've been using Retin-A for about 30 years and whenever I've stopped, my skin just doesn't look the same. Rough texture returns, uneven tone develops, fine lines start forming. You mentioned Agency for tretinoin. I've been using their formula and have been happy with it. As an FYI... I used 0.1% for YEARs but had to cut the strength A LOT when I started using Agency's version of Retin-A. The formula they prescribed me also contains 5% azelaic acid, 4% niacinimide, and 5% tranexamic acid - for hyperpigmentation - and those ingredients combined with a 0.05% tretinoin strength, was too strong for my skin. So, I'm using 0.02% daily which my skin easily tolerates and will work my way back up to 0.05% if it's not irritating. I too was a sun worshiper - grew up in Florida before sunscreens were a "thing" - so Retin-A really does help keep my skin healthy. And yessss to healthy food videos! ❤

    Hi Claudia, How do you incorporate the Estriol into your routine? I just started using the brand "Musely" their "Age Repair Cream" which contains the same 0.3% Estriol. I also use the "Anti-Aging Cream" which is their tretinoin at night. I'm using the Estriol cream in the morning after my Vitamin C serum. I've also tried it at night after the tretinoin. Not sure what works best. I'm also not sure the Estriol is doing much, seems to make my skin drier. I've been on tretinoin for 15 yrs. (I'm 57} I've been trying to scale down my products but there's too much out there. It's hard! Also, I did try Agency awhile ago and my skin did not like their tretinoin, too many ingredients with it and also maybe wasn't compatible with other actives I was using. I really like the "Musely" brand. It's the same online compounded formulas Mine has the tret, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid. Love your videos, thank you for making them!

    I think I've written about this in a comment before, but the product that gives me the most bang for my buck is an antioxidant serum by Herbal Face Food. For my mid 40s normal to dry skin it has been toe to toe with Vitamin A in noticeable results. Particularly, skin brightness, clarity and bounce. They've gotten pretty pricey over time as well as some of the wording on their website getting a bit corny (kind of Bader-influenced I think), but I have been using the serums every day for two and a half years now and will never be without. I always have level one and either level two or three on hand - rotate as to go milder after exfoliation, etc.
    I use those pads from Skinbetter as well, alongside AlphaRet (love both), and use BR P50 a few times a week still, and last month introduced Azelaic acid which has really surprised me in such a pleasant way. Helping with redness. I started with Naturium's.
