You’re right there, something very special. I remember being a country and western fan going back to a small child, in the days of Jim Reeves, country and western singers have silky smooth voices, even the not so good singers, they have voices you could listen to all day, gorgeous, gorgeous voices, belonging to gorgeous, gorgeous men, the look of men that have lived, every year of their lives are etched on their faces, it’s lovely to see, they can’t hide what they’ve done it’s there for everyone to see.
hopefully someone in 2024 sees this comment and agrees that johnny cash was something special. so gutted i never got to see him live. timeless quality could listen to him all day
Talent right here, Cash is ACTUALLY playing the guitar (a lot of people use it for a prop rather than actually playing) and his singing is unedited and sounds just like the recording, no pitch errors... simply flawless
It's amazing how good he was. Especially when this is just about when his voice started to get raspy. Like the legend he was he found a way to make rasp sound so cool
Damnit Johnny, you are so missed. This has got to be the most heartfelt version of this song I've ever heard before. There will never be another that can grab the soul strings like Mr.John R. Cash
Siamese Sin I agree, so many can sing now. but when we hear this era, Wow! no one can compare to them.... Nothing. Anyway I grew up with the style o record and tape, nothing like hearing that style.. xo everyone.
All the comments are true on this song and it makes me think of another song by one of country great George Jones "Whos Going To Fill There Shoes?" The answer is very simple "Noone Will Ever Fill Any Of The Greats Shoes That We Have Lost In Past Years." I will say not all new artists are bad they just had to change with the times. The times have truly changed since this era in the music business.
This is not only about love, it's about the hell of addiction...and I can completely relate and agree. 30 years of it and now 8 years clean. But God saved me, not a woman. Thank you father!
falcondriver100 I know. Like Ariana or Taylor, they are probably for looks, don't actually know tho. some people might like their song but what I think is because of there looks. Johnny cash tho, his songs are pretty good.
As I feel more dead inside my life of 23... Ive finally discovered this classic song. This song resonate a notion which touches my dead ass, shakes my spirit and makes my soul want to dance. yea, I'm not English. Rip Johnny cash. my heart pumps pumps pumps. Now I'm feeling lit
Johnny Cash is one of my favorite country musician/singer/songwriters of all time! He had died when I was 8 years old, and the sad thing was I never listened to his music when I was younger than 8. My interest in his music began when I watched a Day Out With Thomas video and near the end, right before the credits rolled, the song "Casey Jones" played in the background. I looked up the musician who sang this particular song, and when I watched another music video about Casey Jones, I looked at the artist in the description and it was none other than... Mr. Johnny Cash! I did some research on who he was and what his songs were all about and began listening to them. I also watched the movie "Walk The Line" with Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon and listened to the songs that were in the movie. The more I listened to Johnny's songs, the more I loved them. And that's how I became a fan of his music.
What is kind of really interesting, with Mr. Cash, is his true human concern and sincerity...they are very important in growing in love and all that arrives forth. I wish you all a very happy, and blessed New Year of 2022. :)
Real king of country music right here and June carter cash is the queen of country music!!! You both fell through a ring of fire and was reborn again… Mr Cash… You are still a legend and a different man from anyone else… your uniqueness sets you apart from others!!!
W Johnny Cash king of country music ! ua-cam.com/video/ScAgYdrN67w/v-deo.html *YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE* Guitar solo version in the style of *Johnny 💙 Cash*
A few years ago, I bought Johnny Cash's greatest 100 Hits album... it's in its own playlist for when I'm driving those long nights, so, I couldn't agree with you more! I'm not a fan of country music, but this man is his own genre!
It just makes me Think and sad at the same time that Johnny cash was only 71 and If he lived could have done so much more amazing music imagine if he would have toured at small intimate venues around the county and Played with a small backing band or if he did MTV unplugged it would have been amazing
I saw Johnny Cash when I was in High School 1968 I think. He came to Norfolk VA and me and 5 of my friends got to meet him back stage. We were right near the back door and his limbo backed in. He got out and the promoter who was hosting us motioned for him to come over. He acknowledge us but instead went over and tipped the driver. He came over and shook hands with all of us and signed our 8 track tapes which i still have today. Quite a memory!
I’ve always appreciated the Older Country Music as each word had such meaning in the song. And the songs themselves were fabulous, almost as if it told a story from the beginning to the end. All done classy and without all of the cussing and demeaning names that people use against each other in today’s world. I really miss so many of the Country stars who have gone on home to Heaven, but I’m sure they’re having a great reunion each time another departs is, and joins them!
Surely you, dear friend, have good musical tastes. Greetings. ua-cam.com/video/Z24eLEc9dnE/v-deo.html *LONDONDERRY AIR* Celtic Blues in the style of *Duane 💙 Eddy*

What a great song by the late and great Johnny Cash this crossed over to the R&B charts . I play on my internet radio show Classic Soul me the Masterblaster.
Johnny Cash was so real. He seemed to know how others felt in many of his songs, and had such a good heart. I admire him for being able to kick his habit of addiction on his own. R.i.p. Johnny
Dear Johnny Cash I have to choose another song because the ones you are uploading here can't be saved because it says that are for kids...
The late Great Sam Cooke said that in order for a song to become a hit, it had to have a "hook". I presume Sam meant either musically, vocally, or both. This song had two hooks. Too bad they left the Mexican horns out at this performance.
I think not. See all the horrible things that happened to people that died, were revived but went to hell....it's NOT anything to laugh at. I assure you. No, I'm not one that died but read about it.
Even if you do not like folk or country music from any country or culture. You will always like Johnny Cash. He was something special
You’re right there, something very special. I grew up loving Iron Maiden, Slayer, Metallica…
But, Johnny was the OG. He was what they all aspired to be.
I don’t like modern country, but old country/folk is my favorite type of music.
They’re essentially different genres. Johnny Cash was folk country. Modern country is Jesus MAGA crap.
Yeah I'm a rock-and-roller but I will say I used to have the Fosom Prison Blues when I was a kid and I love Johnny Cash
The amount of heart and soul he puts into his songs. You’ll never see it again. No sir. What a legend
heros are remembered but legends never die

❤❤Ja auch hier in Deutschland
He was an absolute legend and the best country music artist. The world lost a great man when he passed.
Fully agree! BR from Germany
Talent right here, Cash is ACTUALLY playing the guitar (a lot of people use it for a prop rather than actually playing) and his singing is unedited and sounds just like the recording, no pitch errors... simply flawless
His guitars out of tune yet he still goes through the effort of playing it. That's dedication.
It's amazing how good he was. Especially when this is just about when his voice started to get raspy. Like the legend he was he found a way to make rasp sound so cool
That guitar is way out of tune and turned way down, but the band carries his voice. Good song.
No one is using his guitar as a prop stop talking shit
Damnit Johnny, you are so missed. This has got to be the most heartfelt version of this song I've ever heard before.
There will never be another that can grab the soul strings like Mr.John R. Cash
This man was a one off. Unique. There will never be another one like him.
All of these so called "artists" today have nothing on Johnny Cash! His music will live on for the rest of human life, and I'm so glad he was heard.
MichiganCowBoy I think like you... These singers today who say only insults on their songs, tsss...

A very good live performance. I love the way how the methodical rhythm consumes your attention while the vocals reel you in. A classic Cash ballad.
My Dad loved Johnny Cash, a love he communicated to me. May both their souls rest in G-d.
He fell into a burning ring of fire but didn't die cause legends never die he is the legend27 of country music

Back when you could actually be a Country star because of your talented singing ability, not for your sexy looks.

Unlike other “artists” Johnny Cashes voice never changed as he got older
Thank you, Mr.Cash
