Great explanation! I was shopping for a looper with a separate stop switch. That double tap nonsense is super annoying. Turns out my Go already has it!
Thanks for the clear demonstration. I think this is might be a bit inconvenient in a live situation as the looper is part of the signal chain digitally. Can you change patches while recording different layers on the looper? I am sure it can be done in stomp mode within a patch by switching on/off individual effects (as in stomp mode). I think Zoom G5n also has a similar setup for looper (kind of a dealbreaker for me) whilst Zoom G6 has a physical switch to activate the looper. I am actively considering this or Zoom G6 or Valeton GP200.
That was awesome. I would even like more info about the looper. I just got the pod go and don’t really know how to use it. Can you do a video about what to hook it up to? Budget friendly options? I am looking at 2 catalysts for stereo as an option. It sounds killer in headphones. Hooked up to an amp, not so much.
Hi! Thanks for your video! I was wondering: did you have an issue with the looper playback volume? The looper playback volume is very low compared to the actual playing. I switched from a full pedalboard with a seperate looper pedal and never had this issue. The playback volume is already at max... seems the POD really cuts down the looper output . It doesn't seem to affect you in your video. Many thanks.
When (and where in the chain) would you use the mono looper vs stereo? Many solo gigs I do are just one speaker on a stand so to use the stereo outputs and effects would be redundant, right? Everything just gets summed to mono via the mono output on the podGO

Just got the go and wandered here for looping lesson. I was able to have the sound I want looped on snapshot 1 of a preset. @@ThePedalGuy I have a nux mg 300 and sometimes when I go to perform live amd switch the power on, the preset sounds/patches dont perform correctly, some say it could be a power supply problem ?
Whilst of course it's good that the Pod Go has a looper, there are some issues. Firstly, it's recording time is very limited and the functionality makes it quite difficult to time things accurately - whilst arguably that's a practice thing, some loopers do give you a countdown timer that makes things a little easier. Secondly, it's not a global feature but is patch specific which is a bit of a shame. This means it's taking up one of your 4 FX user slots, and unless you change to a patch that has the looper set exactly the same, your loop will stop when you switch patches. It really isn't therefore as functional as it could be and its almost as if Line 6 added the looper in as an 'afterthought' just so they could say Pod Go has a looper. However, re the using up of a user FX slot, there are available on UA-cam and various Pod Go groups variations to the .pgp patch file (script is written in JSON) that can give you extra slots if you're prepared to sacrifice other slots eg FX loop, EQ etc but only in that patch. I have a 6 slot version that I can use with up to 5 fx plus a looper and that adds a lot more flexibility. (*This is NOT a firmware hack which is very unwise & dangerous, but just changes the JSON script in a single patch file and which doesn't affect any other patches or Pod Go functionality or create any risk to Pod Go - Line 6 are fully aware of these btw!).
Hi and thanks for this video! Do you know how to delete the loop with the 6 switch looper? With the 1 sw looper we delete by holding down the foot switch while it's in white and the loop gets ereased so we can start again... but I haven't figures out how to do this with the 6 switch looper! Also, just to mention, one is able to undo with the 1 sw looper by holding down the foot switch while it's in green :) Thanks again!

As I recall it’s a press and hold while the looper isn’t playing back
i ll try...many thanks
I was trying to Loop hotel California chord progression but its not taking the full part the loop restarts in the middle. How do I fix it ?
Not sure how to advise here. Sounds like you may be running out of time on the looper which would explain why it won’t play the entire loop back
@@ThePedalGuy how do I extend the time of looping
@@ThePedalGuy i mean it doesn't let me finish the recording
@@kevincasals2008 If you're using the stereo looper, I do know that the mono looper gives you twice as much recording time as the stereo looper. I think it's 40 seconds
My issue with the looper is I'll be recording (10 seconds) and then it'll auto go to playback without me doing anything. Anyone know how to resolve?
That's a head scratcher for sure.
@@ThePedalGuy figured it out. 20 seconds only on stereo. 40 for mono.
Hi...love your super clear videos on PodGo! I'm having trouble with one aspect of my PodGo, and that's how to assign the Wah to the expression pedal. I've watched a few how-to videos that breezed over it too quickly and I couldn't get it. For instance, Some talk about a toe switch. Do they mean if you push the toe side all the way down, there's a switch? If so, I can't find one. Would you consider doing a quick video about how to assign the wah (and other expressions) to the pedal? Thanks for you work on these!
Thanks for the suggestion. I don't have any more Line 6 content planned at this time.
Hello, just press the expression pedal on the top, it won’t brake, then it is switched to WAH
This video was very confusing to me. It does not put anything on the far left that is labled as Banks which is like your different petals you choose. I was able to create a looper preset but was kind of yucky as I would lose all my sound effects when switches to the looper. I just bought this yesterday so dont know alot about it.
That’s the only issue I’ve found with the looper on the POD GO. Once you record the initial loop, you can’t choose a different preset.
Can't get it to map to upper left 🤔
I would ping the line6 POD Go FB group for additional help.
mine doesnt do this at all. this is so frustrating!
Not quite sure what you mean here.
@@ThePedalGuy It doesn’t come up the same way. Not sure why. I’ve tried it on Factory and user settings, then hit the mode switch. Not sure what’s going on. Most of them don’t even have a looper to use in the settings. Do you have to go into each pedal setting and add a looper first? So not easy to use at all
Sorry to hear. The looper is set up with every individual preset. So you’ll need to create an new instance of the looper. Unfortunately it’s not like the head rush looper which runs independently of the presets.

Thanks
Those are such useless commands for a 6 switch looper. Should be able to queue different layers and just have more options overall
Thanks for sharing
clearly explained and to the point! thanks
