Today! We look at the Line 6 Pod Go Looper Pedal and all it's settings. Looper in action: • Line 6 Pod Go || First... Check out my gaming channel: / @holtyeah6744 #Line6 #PodGo #Looper
This the best description I have seen. I kept recording and clicking the record button again to put the next guitar on, and it ended up a jumbled mess LOL. I wish you didn't have to use a slot for the looper grrr.
I got the Pod go wireless for guitar fx for my Headrush looperboard. It has great fx just not for guitar, but a great looper non the less. The Helix rack stays in my studio, but hey I could always run it through the fx loop of the pod go.
Hey, Aaron! I'm stoked for you! The FX Loop will allow you to add external pedals. I have a dedicated video to the FX loop if you look at my Pod Go playlist.
If you put the looper after the effects, the loop will be with that same effects and you can change the effects, but it will still play the same that were there
Thanks for the video... good job. Tried to use both 1 and 6 last night and had difficulty getting them to stop and delete. Wondering if anyone else has had similar trouble.
in my HX Effects UNDO will stop my first loop if I make a mistake while recording my first loop. Can POD GO do the same? right now i have to hit play then hit stop very quickly but the sound from the bad loop still plays for a split second
If you’re in the 6 switch mode, you’ll have to exit the looper pedal for it to delete everything. If you use the 1 switch looper option, it gives you the ability to delete the entire piece of music you recorded. You just have to press and hold the button down.
When I save a factory preset into a user patch, it won't let me exit user banks/patches, and get back to factory presets, just keeps looping around in circles, in user banks.
Hey! To get back to your preset folder, just click the (home) view button until you see your pedal board option then click the turn wheel that’s next to the home button.
@@brandontholt Thanks, I wound up fixing it by pushing in the center knob between Home/Action. Switching between patches is too slow, is there a way to speed that up, my old processors were instant , this is so, way too slow.
If you’re using the pedal board option, the only quick way is to hit mode and switch presets. Snapshot mode is a little easier cause you can program the up and down button to change presets. The pod go is limited in many ways with this being one of those limitations haha
@@brandontholt Thanks, I accidently found out that if I push the center knob between home and action, it gives me the two choices, so that solves that issue.
Hey! So each pedal (for the most part) can be programmed to a specific button. I usually program all my stuff from the Pod Go Edit software. When you go to your pedal on the edit software, you can assign which button you want it to on the left side of the pedal edit screen. I can't say I know off the top of my head how to do it within the actual Pod Go board itself. Sorry about that. I hope that helps!
@@brandontholt Got it ...it was a bit tricky, the A block had to be empty to except the looper. A had the reverb on it, so I moved it to C , then looper to A
@@brandontholt I want to buy a pod go or a helix LT but I wanna see if the church gets like a discount on the Helix LT because I really want the Helix LT.
I loaded the looper into empty block in the chain, and it’s showing it there, and showing the controls for it, but it is off, and will not turn on? And on computer it only gives option to delete it out of chain, but no on/off, like all the other effects. I know how to add effects to the blocks in chain, and turn them on and off, and all the other effects work perfectly. I tried both stereo and mono, one button, and six button ones, and does not come on, or light the foot buttons for record/overdub/start/stop. Anyone have any ideas what could be the problem? Also tried it in factory and user, made no difference! Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you!
Hmmm…. That’s a really good question. I’m not sure why that would be happening. I honestly can’t say I’ve spent a whole lot of time using the looper so I’m not too sure I know why it’s doing that :(
@@brandontholt Thinking possibly it was a weird side effect from uploading the latest 1.30 firmware? But then when I reloaded the backup, wouldn’t that had to been an issue before I uploaded the new firmware? Guess maybe I could do a factory reset, but hate to have to build all my song snapshots again! Hey, thank you so much for your quick response!
No worries! I wouldn’t think it would be an issue with the firmware update. You might contact line 6 and ask them! I bet they can give you an answer on it. :)
I agree that it is limited for sure. Some of it has a lot to do with the DSP limit. The Pod Go can only handle so much DSP before it runs out which could be why the looper has limited features.
@@Rockerrobin Oh you forget.. Musicians aren't interested in practicing and getting better, we only want the newer shinier gear. If the amp model sounds 10% better but has a shit looper, who cares! It's all about the tones! In all seriousness, I'm passing on Pod Go because the looper needs to be added as a block and there are better cheaper modelers that can get me there instantly on every patch. Plus they have drum machines.
@@tanvarma4169 headrush has an ok built in looper but I'm not so crazy about the tones. From my searching the hotone ampero 2 and Moore ge250/350 have the best tones for budget but would be better off with a dedicated looper pedal.
@@Rockerrobin I had narrowed it down to Go or NUX MG30 but the looper here is disappointing. MG30 has better DSP, UI and looper. Tones don't matter much to me, with great 3rd party IRs, they all sound very close. And good enough for me. I'm coming from a Mesa Boogie Mark III, IV, V, Axe FX, Kemper and custom pedalboard background. None of the shit matters. A great practice routine and discipline is time better invested. A quick looper with a good IR and small factor to take to gigs and rehearsals will get me there.

Glad it helped :)

Hey, Aaron! I'm stoked for you! The FX Loop will allow you to add external pedals. I have a dedicated video to the FX loop if you look at my Pod Go playlist.
Is it possible to switch to different effects with different loops? Every time I loop a bass and change the pedals, the looped parts changes as well
Hey, Jake. Unfortunately, I do not know the answer to that. I don’t have much experience using the loop functions on the pod go. Sorry :(
I think it’ll depend on where you put the looper in the chain.
If you put the looper after the effects, the loop will be with that same effects and you can change the effects, but it will still play the same that were there

I do believe the same applies to the Pod Go! I would take a look at the Pod Go manual to confirm!
What is "low cut" and "high cut"........ new at this. Thanks so much for the video also!!
Low cut will remove your bass and low end. High cut with remove the stuff that sounds high and ear piercing. Hope that helps :)
How do you delete with 6 switch setting?
You only explained the undo function to undo your last dub but keep the original.
How do you delete it all?
If you’re in the 6 switch mode, you’ll have to exit the looper pedal for it to delete everything. If you use the 1 switch looper option, it gives you the ability to delete the entire piece of music you recorded. You just have to press and hold the button down.

Sweet! Glad you got it working :)
Does anyone know how you save loops within the looper in the patch? I hit save BUT every time I shut off the unit, they are erased. 😞
Hey, Jimmy. Unfortunately, I don’t believe you can save loops permanently within a patch. You have to recreate it every time you go to a patch. :/
@@brandontholt Yeah, I dug deeper and that seems to be the case. I wonder if someone in engineering got a demotion over that one, lol
Hahaha 🤣 yep! Does seem like a design flaw for sure!
is it possible to use looper and switch through effects?? i cant understand why its limited to only one effect....
That’s a good question. I don’t have an answer. I’ll have to mess around with that!
Yea confuses the hell outta me too
Can you delete the over dub using the single button loop pedal?
Just each level of dub and not all of it?
Hey, Terry. Unfortunately I’m not too sure about that. It’s been some time since I’ve used the looper on the pod go. :/ sorry about that!
I can't add the looper pedal when I press veiw it doesn't come up with pedals to choose like your did.
Hmmm….. maybe try a new preset with no pedals selected. Then try adding the looper. It could be a DSP limit that is causing that to happen.
@@brandontholt I found it lol..I needed to go on to user instead of factory thanks anyway
@@devilmyke Haha nice! Glad it was an easy fix!
Do you recommend this for church patches?
Maybe in some situations it could be helpful. We wouldn’t use it at sagebrush though. We have other ways of accomplishing this goal.

How do you erase on the 6 switch?
did you find out?
Can you save your loops?
I do not believe you can on the Pod Go. Once you exit or stop the looper, it will delete it :/ best bet would be to record everything through a DAW.
Profecionals dinot see this is needed to play .Thanks
Who cares. It’s still fun
Can I hear the looper? Please?

Another one bights the dust why do these boards have such limited looper memory. My 65$ Donner looper has unlimited loop memory.
