Mr. B. Awesome video! As always your videos get me excited about creating better presets that will simplify and improve my weekly live band experiences. This allows me to concentrate more on playing and less on toe tapping on my TMP. Thanks very much! I hope to visit Nashville one day and watch you and your wife perform live. Cheers Scott
Glad you like them! However, the wife and I have retired from playing out live, and we live in Illinois now. But we sure had a lot of fun when we were playing in Nashville 🎸🎙
Great channel. I’m now a drummer after playing guitar since high school and I’m thinking about getting the TMP with the 12 inch cab just to have fun with. I’ve stayed away from modelers because of analysis paralysis with so many options and menus but this looks easy to use and seems to minimize “tweaking” and maximizes playing.
This is a fantastic thing to have for a modeller, I'm not sure if other units have something like this, it's the first time I've seen it. Once you get used to it, it'd be hard to go back to not having it.
Hello Doug. I thought I would ask have you found a way to actually backup patches etc.. to the USB Micro Card. I've just updated but don't seem to be able to find this functionality. Best wishes from the UK. 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
Yes - if you insert the Micro SD card, the system recognizes it and gives you the option to backup to or restore from the SD card. The SD card can only be accessed by the TMP; Cloud backup and restore is handled by the Pro Control app.
Starting to really like your videos. There’s nobody else giving the tone master much coverage really. Could that be because fender don’t really provide a platform for creaters to sell presets and captures?? 🤔
No, it's because I'm special. KIDDING! I really don't know, I have minimal contact with other content creators because I'm too tempted to steal their ideas.
Thanks Doug. Very informative! A quick question, let’s say you are in a venue and you find you need to turn up the volume of OD a bit. I wonder if the other preset that has the same block setting will update automatically?
So if I get you right, you;re saying that you've made a block setting, and you're using it on more than one preset. If you turn up the volume on the OD, will it update the other preset using that OD? No, it won't. If you make a block setting and then change a setting in it and save it again, you'll now have TWO block presets with the same name. Apparently you can't just update a block setting. You'd have to change your other preset to use the new block setting.
@@DougBsDigitalDen Yes, that is what I mean. Hopefully in the future update Fender will add the auto update feature as well. Thank you for helping to check!
@@DougBsDigitalDenI have a similar question. If you have created a block setting that you have used in a preset, what will happen if you delete that block setting? Will the presets using the now deleted block setting stay at the parameters set in that deleted block setting? Or, will they revert to the standard parameters of that block?
I am new to tone creation. Does clean tone need certain pick up between bridge and neck or do you just stick with one pick up but change the presets only? When do you switch between the pickups vs presets?
For me (and this is just my opinion) the best clean tone is the combination of neck and bridge. I usually switch to the bridge pickup for crunchier tones and for lead.
Thanks Doug! I discovered Block Settings right after the firmware update and started using it. The only drawback for this (and I'm picking nits), is that there's no way to delete a saved block if ultimately you don't like what you saved. To your knowledge, is there any way to do that?
Yes, you can delete Block Settings. If you just click on a Block Setting, you'll get 3 dots to the right of the name. Click on those dots, and you get options to Rename and Delete. Thanks for asking!
I already know EXACTLY how these blocks work and yet I'm watching the full video anyway. This series has become my favorite part of my week!!!! ☺
Awesome, thank you!
THANKS again Doug !! Super handy to know this. The Tonemaster Pro is really a great unit.
It sure is!
I just got the Tonemaster Pro and these videos are a great help. Thanks Doug!
Thanks again Doug, your videos are gold, I had no idea about block setting but now I get it! Cheers from a happy Aussie ☺
Great to hear!

Almost like the Fractal Thank you Doug well done God bless you
Thank you kindly
Thanks Doug, great explanation!
Glad it was helpful!
Can you discuss the signal chain and why effect pedals are placed in a specific order?
Why some would be better before or after the amp.
Thank you.
Excellent explanation Doug. Helps big time- thanks!

Hi Doug...For some reason I cannot change block order? WTF!...Oh now I can...Must have been some bug. Sorry.

Hello Doug, is it possible to save a single preset on the SD card. I could not find it.
No, right now the SD card is used to back up your system and presets.
