Great tip, this is a gamechanger for me! I really appreciate your consistent support for us TMP users over the past year!
Congrats your channel is doing better !! your videos are really improving Andy keep it up.
Thank you! I appreciate you checking out my videos! I hope you have a great day today!
Very helpful tip, I’m gonna mess around with this. Thanks!!
Wow - you were'nt kidding - that is a SHOCKINGLY simple trick; hidden in plain sight - but a true game changer. Setting a loop like this is gonna save soooo much time trying out different mic configurations..
Super helpful EQ tips in this vid too brother -
Keep up the awesome content - you've helped immensely in just 3-4 weeks
Haha glad I could help, sorry I couldn’t remember your last name! Thank you for asking about this on livestream and inspiring a whole video! If there’s anything else I can help with, let me know. In the meantime, know I appreciate your support!
Low-end is not where the guitar plays, that area of the sound spectrum belongs to the bass and kick drum…. And THAT is an entirely different video😂. Great stuff here! Thanks for sharing!
haha I'm glad you enjoyed it! I have another video dropping today I think you'll enjoy!
I agree! When you're jamming at home that low end chug makes the tone sound full, but in a live band situation the guitar is supposed to be in that mid range area... I run the sound in my band & I've actually had a few pro sound engineers come up and tell me how good the mix is and how clear everything is.... it's tuff love but each musician in the band needs to stay in their lane and know their role
Just ordered mind through Sweetwater and it’s on its way thanks for the tip
Awesome man, you’re gonna love it!
you can order minds from sweetwater now ? is that even legal ?
@@hypnoticGrillwith great power comes great responsibility
I was just trying to figure out how to re-amp. The best part of this when recording into your DAW, you don't have the tone "imprinted". Meaning, you can change settings on the rig after you record your guitar parts.
Haha yeah man. I haven’t used it much for reamping, but I tend to record the dry signal, too. I still love some of those NeuralDSP reverb pedals. I also use automation within my DAW, which opens you up to another kind can of worms. Which amps are you using the most on the TMP?
@@damionandy Dude, this thing is amazing. I have a CCR amp, a "Eugene's Trick Bag" amp, a parallel processing amp, I just got done messing the Orange amp, I have a SRV tone.
You name it, you can pretty much copy any tone you want it's amazing. As far as a favorite amp goes, I don't know mostly just been tone copy pasta for me. But I have a "Orange Heavens" preset that kind of blows my mind. Tangerine Head with an IR I got from SweetWater when I bought the thing.
I literally googled how to change the looper position yesterday 😂 it’s a game changer
hahaha that's awesome. I was just messing around trying to learn new things and then I unlocked this sorcery. Hope you're feeling blessed homie, thank you for watching!
Appreciate the tips! Will try adding the eq up front.
I have been really trying to improve my tone and you answered some of what I have been wondering about how much low end and mid I should add. Thank you for sharing
Keep messing around and trust your ears. If you have questions, lmk!
Well, I learned something today. Good stuff!
Glad I can help homie! Which amps are you using the most?
Very helpful. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
btw nice statement love your mids. but you have to be careful. mids are a very populated area in music. so you have to choose carefully which mids to boost, since there might be a singer and a keyboarder and another guitarist. Best thing you can do, is to "tune" the whole bandsound together, so you can avoid "mid wars" between the keys hornsection and the aretha franklin vocalist choir and the organ doubling the second guitar. if you know what i mean. In most videos i see concerning guitarsound, there is allways the argument with "play in the mix" but seldomly there is advice about how to important it is, not only to get "your mids" right, but that the whole band gets their own little "midspot" to chill. the teamwork of the whole band is the key, no guitar riff can shine, no matter how many mids are involved, if the synth guy shits the hell of a wall of a sound occupying every bit of the soundspectrum. i amm so often surprised how effective it is to lower e.g. the keyboard mids in a certain spot, instead of boosting the vocals and or the guitar what ever.
My comments are mostly coming from a traditional band setting, but you’re right. In these videos, I’m not covering mixing all together. My aim is to raise awareness of the mix as a whole. It’s really easy to be bass heavy on modelers, from my experience, so I’m just trying to help haha
AWE SHIT!!! Never thought of this. Nice! Thank you!
Glad I can help! Whatchu grateful for today?
@@damionandy Being employed! ;-)
Which button toppers are they mate?
GearByCeba makes them! Use the link in Bio to snag them. "DAMION20" gets you 20% off your order and supports the channel!
Out of curiosity, if volume is an issue, why don’t you use the Helix or a different make?
Because it’s mostly a minor inconvenience, not an actual problem. I just hope if enough people mention it, Fender will address it. With the volume issue, it is still the most fun to use and best sounding modeler for me. I own the AxeFx3 and haven’t turned it on since I got the TMP
@@damionandy I appreciate the response. Good information. I’d like to request another video from you using the Tone Master to make the guitar sound “better”. Meaning using your expertise regarding sound engineering while creating rigs and using tone options, and explaining why it makes the guitar sound better. Your discussion about midrange and low range, and how they effect the guitar was a lightbulb moment for me. I bet most players would like to hear you explain further about this topic.
@@Cleveland_Chris have you seen the latest video I put out? I kinda cover this. Would love if you watched it and then left me a comment with questions for me to answer in another video
Why do your tone switch buttons look different to the original buttons??
I have the foot switch accessory from Chad Boston! Check the link in the bio. DAMION20 will save you 20% if you decide you want to accessorize your modeler (he makes everything for every modeler)
I was wondering the same thing.
👍🏼💯
...and I grabbed that IR, noice!
Heck yeah! What amps are you running through it and what are your thoughts on the IR?
@@damionandy It sounds solid so far, (if I've done it right lol) I've not had any problems with it, just a basic setup, back to work and will play with more later.
@@yarrokon hard to mess that one up, tbh hahaha. Glad you're enjoying it! If you ever have questions, leave them here 🤘
"This tip will change your life when building sounds!" (it will, it's awesome) - proceeds to never use it again while building sounds. lol!
Lmao got me. It’s still new to me hahaha this is raw infinite power we’re talking about
sorry Damion, the moment the dog came in you lost my attention. there is no way you can compete against this furry presence ! :) Give him a nice headscratch from me.
I have 3 of them. They’re little people and do what they want haha
