I feel like I’m the only person happy with this bag! After buying one i didn’t have any remorse, I’ve used the bum bag on its own at it was fantastic, i lover the adjusting straps so much, it fits like a dream and I care more about durability than light weight so its a sacrifice I’m personally happy to make. Alas. Great review as always!
I think the bag on its own is great. The main issue that people have with it is the 700 dollar tag. The Atmos which has nearly everything this bag offers expect without the extra bag and is slightly less durably, is only 340 dollars. If I saw this bag on discount or being sold 2nd hand for cheaper then yes, I would say get that bag. But if the bag costs more than my tent which is 500 dollars, then the bag needs to be beyond great that can be used for nearly everything I need for it.
Just putting it out there that the Mystery Ranch Blackjack 100 costs $1100-1150 so yes, this is expensive but as far as purpose built packs there are much more expensive bags
I am a cheap guy but I started not lookin' at the price due to I have done videos where I hiked 32 miles in 100 degree temps so I would pay for somethin' that is above all others. I watched the entire video and I must say that the warranty would have sold me easily cause I would never have to buy another one again BUT I am a bigger guy and the cons really outweigh the price. Major con for me is that is it heavy and I like to pack a lot anyways and that the profile it is will not be comfortable for a husky guy. I do thank you for your video and all of them. Oh and I have the Teton Sports Explorer 85 Backpack since I am a pack rat lol
100% Agree. I love Osprey, I own several and think the Talon 22 is the best pack (all things considered) ever made. But this, is simply not worth that kind of money. I think they should take some of the benefits of this pack and place em on existing packs.
And in 3 months you get a $70 Forclaz backpack from Decathlon which has three quarters of the same features. My Quechua 30L hiking pack is on par with my friend's Deuter pack which costs 4 times as much.
Thanks for the review, Luke. I own an Osprey Rook 65, and I love the "30 pounds feels like 15" effect. They do an outstanding job with their suspension systems and construction quality, IMO, but I don't see myself ever paying $700 for a backpack, unless it makes me levitate and float down the trail lol. The most I've ever paid was $285 for a Mystery Ranch bag. I'm thinking about getting an Atmos AG 50, though.
Great review. It’s the combination of $700 and the 6lb+ weight that makes it a complete show stopper for me. I’m like a lot of folks who don’t see any value in a bunch of zippers, multiple compartments, detachable pouches, and buckles and straps everywhere you look. Honestly, the more I trek the backcountry (132 nights in 4 years), the more I yearn for simplicity and low weight. If you look at a standard duffel bag you see it as one big bag accessible by one big zipper; give me that with a shoulder strap arrangement and I’m happy as a lark. Along with that arrangement would naturally come low weight and low price. A double win.
While i find features like a well constructed harnish and hip belt very important and also like a few sorting feature like a pocket in the lid, outside mesh compartments etc, i have to agree. If you put so many features on it that you gain allot of weight for it, you loose one of the most important features something you have to carrry over long distances has, namely the weight. It should be less than 4 lb for sure.
I thought $450 total was high enough for my Eberlestock Battleship with the long hip belt and utility panel. It is a great pack for me. I knew when you got this Osprey pack it wasn't worth the money with the design features it showed on the website. Nothing can ever be an "everything" object. I truly thank you for testing out this very expensive pack and saving all of us the time and money. The length of your testing was great since the pack came with this price. Thank you and Take Care and Stay Safe.
Round $600 nowadays in Europe. I have seen price tags of $524 to it here an there. It looks like Osprey is adjusting the price to hit the supply/demand equilibrium.
Just bought this backpack new for $450 after taxes on Ospreys website they had it 40% off. Took a bit of waiting but I finally own ready for my trip in July!
I bought the Atmos AG 65 for myself on discount for 290 dollars and I really enjoy using it. From time to time I may get told that I need a lighter bag since it is almost 5 pounds but it works for what I need of it. I can't imagine myself buying a 700 dollar bag that is the same thing but with a tad bit more work done on it. The next bag I will get will be lighter with less pockets than the Atmos so I can get a true feel of what a lighter bag can bring.
My advice is not to stress over the weight of your pack. Let’s say you buy one that’s 2lb lighter, now your total weight will be 28lb instead of 30lb. You will NOT notice a 2lb reduction in weight in the field. Assuming it’s not stupid heavy like a military pack, the more comfortable pack is the better pack. Don’t be one of those people for whom backpacking is more about reaching some arbitrary max weight goal than the actual trip.
@@philsmith2444 Yeah I am not trying to go ultralight and all. But I know that some packs might do better on different types of trips. Like a day trip you might not need that large pack or a week long trip that small pack won't be enough. Same thing with sleeping bags as the winter one wouldn't really be great during summer usage.
I was even considering Osprey’s lightweight mountaineering packs for backpacking but they’re not as comfy and my back isn’t great. If your back is ok they might work for you though..
I have been looking forward to this review. You answered all of my questions about it. Thank you so very much for doing this review. All of your reviews have saved me a ton of money as well. Stay safe and keep on trekking.
Years back for hiking I bought a Camelbak BFM. Makes life easy for drinking - just grab the tube. Turn on the valve and use the 'bite' piece. I don't see them on their site anymore?? Never could afford a $700 pack. My first good pack was a surplus US military Alice pack. Then upgraded to the BFM. Made 3 hikes up Mt LeConte to the lodge in the smokies. Never had a problem with the BFM or the Alice pack. Thank you for the video. (I will say the BFM was way better then the old Alice pack)
The best backpack I've ever had is the Gregory Wind River, made back in the 90s. Is super adjustable and extremely comfortable. You can move the weight between your shoulders and your hips on the fly without breaking your stride. The best part is instead of it being only top opening, it can be used from the top, but it also has a full panel front access. Lay the pack flat on the ground, unzip the panel, and I have full access to all the contents without having to dig or unload anything.
I had been waiting for a long time to see this review, I'm very glad that it was finally uploaded. Thank you very much, Luke, for taking the time and sharing this valuable information with us. :) Regards.
User here! Have used it at a 7 months Central America trip, didn’t use it for hardcore hiking though. Have to say, if you are a backpacker, traveling around, this is THE BEST out there. Why? It’s extremely comfortable, it holds tons of stuff, and it is clam shell which is very comfortable when travelling. Not to forget the materials. I switched from Fjallraven Kajka 65 to this and allthough the design of the Kajka is amazing, for traveling around this one is way better due to it’s superior suspension system. Kajka is very expensive as well, but in terms of comfort a huge mwoahhh imo. My only point is, the rigidy waist/hip belt. Those loosen up over time though. And thatwater bottle pocket is a bit annoying, yes. Worth 700… hmmm… 550 would be better but i guess it’s an expensive one to make with all the materials and seaming going on. Would i buy again? Yes. But just ask yourself: do you need 64 liter of storage, because i don’t and that’s why i’m down sizing.
As I was shopping for a backpack a couple weeks ago I was wondering if I'd missed this review lol. There was no way I would pay that much for a backpack, I waited until the original AG went on sale.
I think that price could be justified by amount of use you get out of it, if you use this pack for like 20 years going up and down Everest for a living...this backpack might just be worth it.
Exactly. The people saying his pack is overpriced in the comments are not the demographics this was designed for. It’s funny when they say they would never buy it…even though it wasn’t meant for them anyways. Like me saying I’d never buy an 18 wheeler, and I’m not a trucker.
Hi, I have been there (Nepal) and I never saw any sherpas using Ospreys and they know a lot when it comes to choosing gear so there might be a reason those guys don't buy those expensive bags don't you think?. Cheers
@@apollomasta sherpas carry bags on their heads. I don’t think they are buying $700 bags. Also, sherpas make the “climbers” look good. They need more praise
@@rgmALC some do but the professional, climbing experts don't and they can afford the best gear. Take a peek www.nytimes.com/2021/01/19/sports/summit-k2-nepalese-sherpas.html
@@apollomasta backpack didn't exist 20 years ago, and it's just a hypothetical example of a use case. If for some reason you got very expensive gear in the bag 700 isn't all that steep. Kind of like when you buy a 1000 dollar pc case and throw 5000 dollars of gpu, cpu, mobo, ram, storage into it...price kinda makes sense at that scale.
Ive been using the Atmos AG 50 for about 6 years now, and its still going strong (never once had to use the warranty). I'm 6'2", 230lbs, and it's extremely comfortable and fits like a glove. I typically stay out on the trail for a week at a time, and it carries everything i need for that time. Although my pack weight is usually 15 to 25lbs (depending on the season), it has plenty of room for more gear and weight. Basically, the Atmos AG 50 is the best pack ever made in my opinion...
I appreciate the review as always. I love Osprey packs. But my personal favorite is the Kestrel series. The main reason is comfort and they still have daisy chains. I'm a big fan of that because I combine modern backpacking with bushcraft. Anyway, keep up the great work you do.
I'm too old now to use backpacks to haul even 35 lbs of load. As a fella with just a bit of money and NO EXTRA SENSE, I would probably buy this pack. The moisture-wicking and strong materials/construction would cinch the sale for me. I appreciate your taking the time to seriously use this product and I found your report to be both interesting and helpful. Thank you.
The companies warranty cannot help me when I'm 30 Clicks in the middle of nowhere with no reception and now a broken backpack. Yes warranties are important. Just not when they really count!
My Exo mountain pack costs that and is a tank. Light, comfortable, and at the rate it’s going I’ll be willing that thing to my grandkids. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a pack in the $700 range.
Luke, do you have any experience of the smaller 32/34 litre Hike UNLTD? It's still twice the price of a Talon 36 but it can carry 50% more weight, is the only sub 50 litre bag with the AG back system and has a U-shaped zip for access, so it does have a few things going for it if you want / need maximum comfort in a 1-2 day bag. Nobody has reviewed it though.
Thank you for the review, honestly your review of Osprey was why I bought the one I did(it was years ago) but I just cant justify 750 bucks for a backpack. Thank you for all you do, and I look forward to your next video.
Most expensive? Kifaru sells some $450 packs that require a $450 frame to use them. Kelty sells a US-made version of the Falcon 4000 that costs $999, and a US-made version of their Redwing 50 that costs $529. The import version of the Redwing sells for $140. US-made gear is not cheap
I bought this pack last year and I can honestly say that this is the most comfortable ruck Ive ever owned. I own 4 other packs (2 ospreys, 1 army SOT, & 1 TNF). The best feature imo is the lumbar & back support. That said, I 100% agree with OP- would NOT pay $700 dollars for this bag. (The only reason why I bought this bag is because I got it with a discount.)
Great video Luke, I know I can count on you for the best no bs, unbiased reviews! I saw this pack in a store and tried it. Have to say I absolutely love the materials, features, look and feel but do I love it enough for the crazy price tag? Hell no! It’s probably the nicest pack I’ve ever seen (apart from the weight) but it’s still overpriced and not just by a bit. Here in australia it’s around $900! For the cost I’d expect it to be super light, every single feature to be best in class or groundbreaking and as you say it’s heavier than most. If Osprey stop smoking whatever they’re smoking and get real about the cost I’ll reconsider but until then other models are way better for the money. Thanks!..
I would love to see you do one of these amazing reviews on the Amok Dramur 5.0 UL XL Hammock. You are so completely honest with your findings it feels like a lot of these companies could do with you testing their products and helping them come up with the right price tag before they release them onto the market. Keep up the exceptional work.
Hey Luke, gotta agree, the biggest con is the price. As a retiree lookjng for a very comfortable bag, leads me to this question , what is the median age and income did they design this bag for? Unfortunatly I'm on a low end Chevy budget and can't afford a Rolls Royce Excaliber. LOL
Hello Luke, I'm curious, after the testing you've done, what do YOU think would be a fair price for this backpack? Love your channel, thanks for all the awesome content. 👍😊
I've tried it on and I reckon around 400 dollars. It's an upgrade and I might pay up to 450 for it but not more than that. My wife went for a Deuter pack instead.
Nice review. I bought the Osprey Atmos AG 65 earlier this year and you really hit the nail on the head when it comes to the rigidity of the pack and I am on the heavier side and I just ordered a new backpack yesterday because I just never felt comfortable in the Osprey. I ended up purchasing a Durston Kakwa for only $199… it has the new ultra 200 material. It was only 28.2 ounces. Another thing that disappointing me about the Atmos AG. The max recommended carrying weight was only 40 pounds. The Durston backpack has a 45 pound carrying capacity which is actually Unbelievable. Another thing that disappointed me about the Osprey Atmos aAG 65 that I bought this year they no longer have the flap underneath the brain. I was really disappointed in that design change. Once again thanks for the great review.
A friend has one and I tried it for a 10 mile O&B overnighter (we are very similar in build and fitness level) - was a very good pack, but not for me fit or comfort-wise. It fit me about as good as my $50 Trekking 60 pack I use for my knocking around and inter-island travel pack. I will say that it a very cool pack to wear temp-wise. IF it proves popular design-wise, others will have it copied within the next year or two and for less than half the price. For $700 it should be pulling me up the ascents! Thanks for the review and posting it up!
A few hundreds more for extreme ventilation and comfort? It is definitely worth it. Important to criticize companies elevating prices like this, so they see that is not so easy. If it is a niche product, so be it, everyone takes their own decision.(By the way, there were none at REI, I had to scout for one).
I just bought a Mountainsmith Scream 55 for $100ish and it’s an awesome pack. You don’t always need to spend a lot to get quality gear, especially if you just get a prior model or design
I managed to find an Osprey Xenith 75 in grey which I believe is a step above the Atmos, especially with the waist belt which seems to be better than anything else I've seen. The Unlimited is for flash people with more money than sense. The Xenith is the perfect pack for large loads and winter camping, and it will last a lifetime.
Thanks for an interesting and thorough review. In the interest of accuracy, this may be the most expensive production backpack, but custom makers such as McHale Packs have been making more expensive packs for awhile.
WOW $700..that's crazy!! I know the company has put all the new technology into it, with that being said.... there should be everything you need to hike inside for $700
I have an Atmos 50 AG and it’s the most comfortable pack I’ve ever had on my back. Is it as adjustable as my Aether 70 AG or Argon 85? No, but with those you have to buy different harnesses and hip belts to get full adjustability. Those aren’t as comfortable as my Atmos yet, but I haven’t used them as much to get the packing and adjustments dialed in. (The Argon 85 is actually new to me, I need to get it dialed in for winter.)
I've been looking forward to this review. Thank you for doing this. I bought the 32 UNLTD and it is really nice but I need to learn how to pack because it's a bit small. For the short trips I do it should be fine once I learn. I didn't realize how big your pack was until I just saw it on you.
Very intelligent, useful and fair review, thank you. I don’t backpack anymore due to age and medical condition, but even if I did I would not spend this much on a backpack. However I do daypack and my favorite daypack is the Osprey Synchro 20 which is a bicycle pack but also works well as a daypack. I wouldn’t even consider buying any kind of pack without a trampoline style of highly breathable suspension system because in the summer I am hiking in 90F and up conditions.
I know it's only been a couple of months since your upload, but any additional thoughts at this point? The pack is on sale for about 35% off for the women's version right now at some online stores - $450~ USD. It feels like with the advanced tech, extra durability in materials over the Atmos/Aura, and then the rain fly, day pack, and carrying bag that could all be worth the extra hundred as the Aura 65 is about $340 right now.
Thanks for this in depth review. The Atmos is on my short list and I’ve had the chance to get one fitted and compare to other packs. I get what you’re saying about a substantial pack that fits tight and also carries well. The one thing I had issue with that makes me pause in case I can find something better is that I also have really tight shoulders. If I’m wearing my watch it catches when I’m putting on or off bc I can’t move my arm far enough back. It annoed me the five or so times I put on and took off the pack to get it adjusted and I wonder how it would be day after day. But once it was on w a 25 lb weight in it it felt great. $700 is a lot for sure. If I found a 50% off sale I might buy it since it’s so close to the Atmos.
Your reviews are so good! I watch them just to learn something new and for the entertainment! And I'm not an outdoorsman by any stretch of the imagination either! Keep up the good work!
I have the Atmos 70 and it was roughly 300 dollars can't remember exactly what I paid for it and thought that was expensive and almost didn't buy it because of price and was looking at a couple other packs but there is no way I would spend that kind of money for a pack that has only a couple extra features than what is in the Atmos that I bought, another great review Luke thanks.
Side pockets seem to be an issue with Osprey packs. When I load up my Levity 60L it’s side pockets get so tight that I can fit Nalgeen bottles on each side but as soon as I carry the pack I only get them out with great effort but won’t be able to slide them back in as long as I carry my backpack. That was a 260€ disappointment especially when I found out that my 1L Evernew Pasta Pot was able to damage the fabric of my backpack on the inside, although I carried the pot in it’s Tyvec pouch. Once !
Thanks for the honest review. I use the Aether pro 70. Great pack no frills but also can’t access the water bottle pocket. Perhaps Osprey can sort that in future designs
Luke I was looking through your videos, Did you ever do an update of your fjallraven abisko tarp ? I can only find the video of your initial set up, but I can't find the stealth camp and your overall review. Cheers Dave.
I personally love my under armour storm tactical heavy assault backpack. Tons of molle webbing and about 30 liters. Aluminum frame and tons of weapon/ammo holders. It also matches up well with a plate carrier. Only paid $105. The molle/pals system allows me to add on to infinity. With any, already produced military equipment. Admin pouches, first aid, etc etc. along with the military sleeping bag system with goretex cover and even the single man military tent….you could be John Rambo walking the country trying not to spill first blood. I do believe for the $595 I have left after buying the pack….I could afford the sleeping bag AND tent. Maybe some backpacking foods too!!! Not to mention it’s hydration bag compatible which puts the straw right in my mouth…while never letting go of what’s in my hands.
I would never pay $700 for over 6lbs when you can get a custom 50L Mo Atom Pack that weighs under 30oz and costs $340. It being a top loader with lots of extra Ecopack material to turn it into a 60L pack if needed. I paid over $700 for a Dyneema tent to drop the weight to 27oz instead of the 4lbs of the previous 2 person tent.
$700? Ouch. I suppose if price is not an issue and you're more than the casual hiker (or rather totally ate up with hiking) it's not a bad choice. As looks go it's rad. A lot of attention went into form and function.
I have an Osprey Atmos AG, and it's more pack than I need. There are a couple pockets that I could do without (and I like pockets), but the suspension is incredible. I just wish they could fix the squeaking suspension...
I never been backpacking but wanted to start picked up one during prime deals for $30. Because the 30L osprey I got for $10 from a thrift store wasn't big enough. I don't see any difference between the two just putting them on. I am sure after miles I would.
Osprey designed this pack for the person who parks their Land Rover in REI’s parking lot, walks up to the sales associate-credit card at the ready-and says, “I want the best backpack you have.” That’s “best”.
I would buy it. Although the weight of it might be a little excessive. But it would depend what type of trip I'm doing. I use a 70 liter backpack for a gethome/ bugout / whatever bag. And I hike with it as well. The osprey is built hand over fist what I have now. Which is about 8 years old. And should have gotten a new one years ago. I don't like buying cheaply made anything. I work hard like everyone else for their money. And I love buying quality products that will bring a smile to my face. Happy that I bought something I love. And hope to get years out of it. If something is quality or flawless, that's less I have to worry about something breaking and or trying to get a replacement or refund.
I agree with everything you say, but i have to point out, that every other pack from Osprey features the same quality and lifetime guarantee. So you dont have to buy this much more expensive bag to get better quality. Only if you like the features much more then the ones of other Osprey packs.
I've got the xenith 105 ,I've used it on long distance hikes of over 300 miles in UK ,,my main concern is it's collapsed over time ,so will the one you've reviewed withstand the wear and tear ,,I'll stick with my lowe alpine from 8 years ago it's stood the test of time
Hi Luke. As the review is a US one, what's the difference in price between this and the Atmos AG, because that's where I'd want to judge whether the price difference was worth the extra outlay. Having said that, based on your knowledge of the market, what would you judge to be a more reasonable price for this particular backpack?
It is not the most expensive backpack for backpacking. Barney's Sport Chalet in Anchorage has backpacks for $998.99. Mystery Ranch has packs over $700. for medics. Those backpacks are based on the military's old Alice system. I tried a $1,000 pack on in the store and it was not that comfortable! I own the Airscape UNLTD and have been using it for a year. Its carry is fantastic. I love the ventilation, hip belt, shoulder straps and load lifters. I live in the Arctic and that means carrying heavier everything. The only thing I would change are the flimsy plastic snaps. They also could have knocked off $50. by eliminating the airporter bag and the rain cover. The first thing I do with all my gear is use a water repellant on top of its material. Is it worth $700? I'd say $500 is reasonable. Is it bear proof? I hope I never find out even though I see a bear every 3 feet out here in Alaska. Great channel!!
Luke, would you consider testing out the Mystery Ranch Bridger 65? I just got it and have really been enjoying it so far. I think for the price (~$350) its just as good.
Love the review - I struggle to see a price that high to be something I would take into the bush where it gets torn up quickly (we have heaps of bushs with prickels
6lbs? lol That's a non-starter for most people. I thought my Millet Saas Fee 50+15 was heavy. They seem to offer similar performance/quality but the Millet is less than 1/3 the price and nearly half the weight. Thanks for your dedication to equipment!
I wonder where this compares to the Mountain Hardwear PCT Backpack, seems to be another feature rich pack. For 100's of dollars less. Review or comparison would be awesome! Much love from 🇨🇦

Don’t be one of those people for whom backpacking is more about reaching some arbitrary max weight goal than the actual trip.
@@philsmith2444 2 pounds for 110lb soaking wet people on long trips is more than you might think. See also people with bum tickers.
@@philsmith2444 Anyone who backpacks a lot definitely feels a difference in two pounds. Heck, anyone who doesn't backpack a lot can feel it.
You've been looking JACKED sir! Great job and God bless you!
I had been waiting for a long time to see this review, I'm very glad that it was finally uploaded. Thank you very much, Luke, for taking the time and sharing this valuable information with us. :)
Regards.
You look shredded man, you’ve bean working out?
Great review Luke.
I myself would never even consider spending that much on this backpack.
Agreed that's ridiculous.
The pack was never meant for you, so of course you wouldnt consider it

Not sure I understand where exactly you were going with your comment in the first place.
Comes across as condescending to say the least.
I took a drink every time "backpack" was mentioned. I passed out at 3 minutes and 17 seconds ...
Thank you for the review, honestly your review of Osprey was why I bought the one I did(it was years ago) but I just cant justify 750 bucks for a backpack. Thank you for all you do, and I look forward to your next video.
Wow, that's some serious money on that backpack. Nice to see your honest review. 👍
Been waiting on this one! I knew you'd give it a decent test. Not just used for one afternoon and then "reviewed"
Thanks!..
Thanks, had a Atoms 65L AG for several years, love it, super comfy during hikes. Osprey keep up the great work!
LOL
Perfectly realistic no nonsense review as always.
Another comprehensive, EXCELLENT review from you. Well done.
A few hundreds more for extreme ventilation and comfort? It is definitely worth it. Important to criticize companies elevating prices like this, so they see that is not so easy. If it is a niche product, so be it, everyone takes their own decision.(By the way, there were none at REI, I had to scout for one).
As ever, a thorough and balanced review. I'll go for the Decathlon backpack. 700 US $ is a ridiculous price, even if you can afford it.
I just bought a Mountainsmith Scream 55 for $100ish and it’s an awesome pack. You don’t always need to spend a lot to get quality gear, especially if you just get a prior model or design
If you can afford it, obviously $700 isn’t a ridiculous price.
It's cool but my Seek Outside Unaweep cost about the same but will carry more when needed and is pretty much waterproof being made of Ultra 400.
Thanks for an interesting and thorough review. In the interest of accuracy, this may be the most expensive production backpack, but custom makers such as McHale Packs have been making more expensive packs for awhile.
WOW $700..that's crazy!! I know the company has put all the new technology into it, with that being said.... there should be everything you need to hike inside for $700
Luke, Happy you tested this, I never would have, for $700 they should furnish someone to carry it for me..
As a canvas stitcher I see your point...But good products are an art just to basically sew.....
Does the harness come with a helium pouch? For that price, it should have an available negative G force.
Your reviews are so good! I watch them just to learn something new and for the entertainment! And I'm not an outdoorsman by any stretch of the imagination either! Keep up the good work!
Agreed. 😊Been using the Atmos AG for years and it is the best comfy backpack for light heavy load (15-25kg) to appreciate the system.
Just want to add my thanks for this review. I dig your style.
A backpack that’s a house payment? Does it come with WiFi or something?
He said: "It feels like you put a turtle shell on". LOL Love your honesty man
I have the Atmos 70 and it was roughly 300 dollars can't remember exactly what I paid for it and thought that was expensive and almost didn't buy it because of price and was looking at a couple other packs but there is no way I would spend that kind of money for a pack that has only a couple extra features than what is in the Atmos that I bought, another great review Luke thanks.
Late to this review, but thanks for making it! I personally love mine, and have no complaints outside of the weight of the bag.
Thanks, Luke. What do you think is a good price for the Osprey?
Side pockets seem to be an issue with Osprey packs. When I load up my Levity 60L it’s side pockets get so tight that I can fit Nalgeen bottles on each side but as soon as I carry the pack I only get them out with great effort but won’t be able to slide them back in as long as I carry my backpack. That was a 260€ disappointment especially when I found out that my 1L Evernew Pasta Pot was able to damage the fabric of my backpack on the inside, although I carried the pot in it’s Tyvec pouch. Once !
I have the Osprey Aether 65 it's an amazing pack. Feels great on the back. It fits like it's not even there. Best 320.00 I ever spent.
700 dollars way out of my price range and your right for that amount i need to love it.
Looks like you've put on hella muscle! Good for you man, looking great!
Thanks for the honest review. I use the Aether pro 70. Great pack no frills but also can’t access the water bottle pocket. Perhaps Osprey can sort that in future designs
Luke I was looking through your videos,
Did you ever do an update of your fjallraven abisko tarp ?
I can say one thing for vitamin "S", it really is working! Ats ok, been there, done that. Keep pumping.
I see the Outdoor Gains Review project is going swell 💪
I love my kajka so much that I’ve bought second one now I have 85l and 65l same as 35l abisko friluft and that’s the best backpacks ever
For the price the backpack should carry you.
Comparatively with Mystery Ranch T100?
Luke, would you consider testing out the Mystery Ranch Bridger 65? I just got it and have really been enjoying it so far. I think for the price (~$350) its just as good.
That's $200 MORE than my rent. Not a chance.
Great review Luke! This pack is not worth the money.
use to use a north face back after a while my back started to hurt and nothing but sweat cost me around $300.00 use it when went shopping
Honest and well balanced review 😎👍
Love the review - I struggle to see a price that high to be something I would take into the bush where it gets torn up quickly (we have heaps of bushs with prickels
What do you thing about Eberlestock Mainframe?
For the price it should have wheels to haul you up the mountain
Ist es gefährlich, Alustäbe im Gestell zu haben bei Gewitter?
6lbs? lol That's a non-starter for most people. I thought my Millet Saas Fee 50+15 was heavy. They seem to offer similar performance/quality but the Millet is less than 1/3 the price and nearly half the weight. Thanks for your dedication to equipment!
They need to license whatever ventilation they're using out for plate carriers. Not having body armor trap any heat would be huge.
I wonder where this compares to the Mountain Hardwear PCT Backpack, seems to be another feature rich pack. For 100's of dollars less. Review or comparison would be awesome! Much love from 🇨🇦
