Really helpful to know where the hidden retaining bolts are. I was going mad. Word to the wise folks, the top bolt on the right of the glove box was a tricky one! It was -2 and dark when I tried so probably not the best decision!

Yes, good job, I am replacing my glove box with a Tuffy glove box with a lock. Thank for showing how to remove the old piece of crap one. The Tuffy is a good way to go for security

My YJ is a 95. Those four nuts in the back are small bolts on mine, maybe 3/16 with a head made for a 1/4 inch socket. They were hard to turn the whole way out. Also on the inboard side the A/C would have to come down to gain access. I replaced the top dash pad and two of the screws are behind the glove box.

To my knowledge it’s just the 2 nuts behind the handle.
