- There are not a lot of good videos of replacing a Jeep YJ Wrangler wiper motor, so I decided to make this video. This is the first part which is the removal. Hope this helps someone.
Thanks for the video
Thanks. I was able to remove the motor from the arm without removing anything else, but it's a little tight to access that bushing. Working like new again with rain on the way today.
I'm glad this may have helped
Wiper wiper motor and relay is working but wipers arent. They just quit one day and i could move them by hand freely. Then it caught and i couldn't move them anymore. This morning i was trying to free them up and i was wiggling the wipers that were stuck and i heard a pop and now they move free again. I can here the motor working as it should but wipers dont move unless u use your hand and they noth move with each other. Is there a plastic clip or something that could have broke? Help please. Ive never had windshield down but id like to know what I'm getting into before i start it. Thanks!
How do know when your Motor is "bad" or "going bad", in order to replace it.?? (( today, i heard my moter 'knocking' a little bit, around every 10 to 15 seconds or so. I placed my fingers on the metal motor housing, and i could then 'feel' the knocking when it happened. ))
Hi I'm one of those guys thathinks he does not need instructions. I removed the arm. All my bushings were brittle. The bushings sold at most auto parts are junk. I think made of recycled milk jugs. What did you do?
Sorry about not responding earlier....my bushings survived so I can't answer that. But if mine would have broken I would have gone to O'Reillys.
Hahahaha 😂... manuals lie too...lol
