I've owned a first gen Sequoia for 8 years and put 100k+ miles of it's nearly 400k on it. You would think at that age and miles it would be falling apart, but it has barely a squeak. Yes, I've been replacing things that are worn out, and you'll do that with every older car, but nothing I've replaced has been surprising. It has proven comfortable for long road trips, cavernous for moving duty, and secure in inclement weather and sketchy gravel roads. Yes, the MPG is not the greatest, you won't get out of the teens even on the best day...but that is balanced by the rock-solid nature of this vehicle.
its perfect Man i have a 2011 Limited and its been flawless. I just replaced the alternator. at 220k just keeps purring along. I went 275/60/20 and its rides perfect. I tow all the time and still get 15 mpg towing 7k pounds.
I can guarantee you that whoever owned that vehicle bought it new and proceeded to basically do the minimum maintenance. Nothing was refreshed. No fluids were changed except for your basic oil. The oil filter on these is a pain in the ass so if you are going to keep it, change it over to a screw on oil filter. Baxter engineering makes it. A 5.7. V8 is good for at least 1,000,000 miles. What’s wonderful about these old sequoia’s especially if you get a platinum is that they offer a lot of features that today’s cars don’t and they are way cheaperand more durable. Win-win can’t go wrong.
YES!!!!!! I prefer it to my 24’ excursion (altitude) TBH & I have ZERO squeaks (like a landcruiser) and no play in the wheel. Those tires might be making it louder also!?! Just get 18’s instead of 20’s & Bilstein 5100’s I have 135k on mine (limited) & drive off-road DAILY for work. Never broken down, comfortable AF & V8 power with a diff lock. 3rd row fold FLAT as it should be!!!!
I saw an article once by I believe Forbes if you can imagine.. anyway it said something along the lines of 11% of all Sequoia that traded hands the previous year had over 300,000 miles.. CAN'T kill it..
Consumer Reports isnt real in positive on the Sequoia: 18 mpg, feels outdated, forgoes independent rear suspension which ruins ride, handling and 3rd row space, handling is clumsy, and ride has shudders and jiggles.
@BenHardyCars no because this will give you problems speaking from experience I bought a 2005 camry v6 as my first car with 143k miles and it gave me problems and problems had to spend 1300 dollars to fix oil leak.

YES! We want to see the Xterra!
We own a 2019 Sequoia TRD Sport. It's been super reliable and fun to drive. 🎉
2025 armada pro4x!
Analog is the best. There's no need to make everything digital. That's what I like the most about my '05 SR5 Tundra. Plus for me is no leather.
I always thought the previous sequoia was ugly ! It shoulda got the refresh like the tundra did
It did at the end

Toyota should have just updated this generation instead of spending the money on the current models
We have a 2nd gen sequoia. Gas sucks but that’s about it.
I actually have been looking at these lately.
Yes, I see the Xterra all over here. New Armada over new Sequoia.

Did you keep those gorgeous previous gen landcruisers?
If you want to get that one then do it otherwise I like seeing the mountain views in Utah seems like a great place haven't been there since 2015.
Who ever own it did a good job taking care of it looks good for a Toyota
I think a nice lower miles 21' or 22' Sequoia TRD Pro or Platinum trim would be ideal.
Im referring to the latest model.
If I was in the market for a kid hauler. I'd look for a 70s Suburban! That's a tank compared to these newer vehicles.

2025 Honda Odyssey
He said no to it because it's fwd only not awd and It snows there so he needs an awd or 4x4.
Need AWD
Get a 2020-22 TRD Pro
when you reviewing the updated 25' Nissan Armada
No clue
The older ones are better than the new ones
Yes
I would say no because my aunt had two of these that caught on fire
That V-8 engine will still be running strong when you pass it down to your kids.
Not a bad option… Not very fuel efficient.
Would you consider AWD Sienna ? lol
It’s on the list
School 🏫 bus 🚌
Not built the same as a LX570 or a 200 series LC....
Do you also plan to buy a truck
We don’t need one currently
Bro that beard is wild 😆 love it

New one sucks

@BenHardyCars I did not mean the new sequoia specifically I mean new cars that have warranty instead of used.
@BenHardyCars I like the new one better looks better, has better fuel economy and more features
Ben, you talk waaaaay too fast for me. Relax buddy!
Older models are better
🤣
