      @@TAKEADEEPBREATH thanks mate. Been asking every few mths. My favourites are the deep nose breathing. 2 sec in 2 seconds out. But I've been finding that my air intake after a septoplasrt and regular exercise help me get bellyful of air through my nose. It's the best feeling. Ty

    Thanks to James Nestor and his book. I’ve been mouth taping at night for months now and the process of relaxing before falling asleep and sleeping deeper has benefited my life so much.

      Hi Roxanne, so glad you are benefitting and sleeping well. Thank Patric McKeown for mouth taping - it’s his treating method,and his overall approach is learned from Academic Buteyko of Ukraine.

    I stopped snoring and waking up with a dry mouth when I started doing the breathing exercises. I also felt a lot more relaxed..... Thank You.... 🌀♥️🌀

    This is so scary that just mouth breathing can raise your blood pressure

      its good to know tho, that by changing how you breath it can reduce it too

    Since i started to learn Spanish i praxticed intentionally nose breathing to take deeper breath to pronounce the words that have so msny syllables and roll my R. I unintentionally have improved my ADHD symptoms, and have have a louder voice and enunciate my words better, i also can have longer conversations when speaking English.

    What's the best way to breathe? In through the nose out the mouth or just nose breathe constantly? Any perspectives?

  • @gladJonas

    Interesting! Luckily always been a nose breather naturally.

    It's kinda funny. I don't remember being a mouth or nose breather as a kid, but I do remember that something clicked in my head that I don't want to be a "mouth breather". Mostly just because of the insult side of it, less for anything really practical. So I decided that it was just better to breath through your nose (To not seem stupid. Kid logic I know) but it's good to hear that there's actual positives to only breathing with your nose ;w;

    I am conscious of nose breathing and how important it is but when I run, my nose gets stuffy and I find myself sometimes gulping air with my mouth. Would rather not do this. It is probably notable that I am 71, run only 5 km and kinda slow right now as I may or may not have a first degree heart block, so getting enough oxygen is right up there for me. Also my resting heart rate is as low as 39 with the average being in the 40’s. When running I am right now keeping watch and average is in the 160’s going as high as 176. All of that is a little scary however not scary enough that I will stop running. Tests next week so hilariously getting in shape for that!

      Well there is a reason you can breath through your mouth too. Our noses can and do get congested. If we didnt have the option to breath through our mouth well...

The lymphatic breathing vids is awesome.. and go on and do it for a couple of weeks.. then an easy Wim Hof breathing to follow after every session.. works wonders❣️escpecially for tension and pain related to it.. Just saying😌. Like an old singer said at tv once about his shirt marked with 69... Try it You’ll like it...🥴 (said in easy terms tho)..😂. Take care/stay safe/👋🏼😌🇸🇪

      Sadly a lot of us suffer from chronic stress, poor breathing role models, poor posture, and not as much movement as we would like, any or all of these can be factors to mouth breathing. GOOD NEWS - you can become a nose breather again, it takes conscious steady practice but you can do it. A big part of the problem is Co2 tolerance, basically when your co2 builds up you feel air hunger and go to mouth to deal with it, heres a nice simple exercise to help with that: ua-cam.com/video/4ZEWlMBFdMA/v-deo.html&ab_channel=TAKEADEEPBREATH
