Lots of great advice and information.James knows so much about the breath but I also appreciate the way he doesn’t pretend to have all the answers.

Love the wide range of breathing topics. Fascinated by the idea of breathing with emotions and it reminds me of vivation. C02 levels being high indoors explains why I feel so claustrophobic/anxious being inside too long and I'm amazed how other people don't seem to notice any difference and don't go outside much. I definitely need to look into airway exercises, if anyone knows a good UA-cam video, please share 🙏

Mike, whenever I listen to your videos, especially when they include James Nestor, I'm blown away by the huge amount I always learn from each of you. This video is absolutely brilliant and EVERYONE, especially health care professionals, should listen and take note. For example, who would have thought Rhinitis could be cured by simply humming? 👏

knowing about your chemoreceptors is crucial because they have far more to do with panic and anxiety that what your personality may be afraid of, because your mind is limited by fear. but fear is courage making itself known
another way to look at that, is seeing that the chemoreceptors and nervous system hold the tension we don't face in our hearts. the breath is the way to regain chemical harmony in the body, because every thing you experience is also a chemical process in your physical body
I'm 23 and I my job serves the spiritual community where I live. I see breathwork transform more and more lives every day. you wouldn't believe the problems some deep, slow, powerful breaths can solve
    peace to all

to add to this, last year a friend lent me a copy of Breath and that book provided scientific explanation for all the transformational experiences I've had from my own personal breathwork practise. not to mention the neuroscience data being made popular by folks like Joe Dispenza, illuminating the reality that our natural conscious state is one of naturally psychoactive phenomenon
activating that psychoactive material in the pineal gland is one of the things that makes breathwork such a powerful practise for expanding one's mental fortitude, to be able to have bodily sovereignty through breathwork in every waking moment of the dream you're dreaming
needless to say, I was stoked to see this podcast go up. cheers for the good work fellas 🤙

"when there is higher CO2 there is almost always lower O2" - is Mr Nestor monitoring O2 levels along CO2? That's a definitely false claim, as far as outdoor O2 levels is concerned since the partial pressure of CO2 is currently 0,04 and therefore cannot have any significant impact on the partial pressure of O2 which is 0,21. Indoors the dynamics could change but that would need a more rigorous examination. Anyways, the interplay levels of O2 and CO2 levels has nothing to do with the burning of fossil fuels, perhaps simply poor indoor ventilation. In any case potentially misleading and potentially dishonest.
Then when he claims again then increased CO2 without alterations in O2 levels could be beneficial, that moment made evident that he is totally lost, and he lost me, contradicting his own statements, and even worse, confusing people and the readers of his bestseller book. It's sad to see him embracing the typical prerogative image of CO2 as the waste gas, "70% of humans toxins are purged through the breath" That inevitably induces people to think logically that we share each other's toxins through the breath, which is not necessarily a nice image to stick to your mind
Wow, James is really on a different track now, and I wonder why, what are the behind the scenes influences

Don’t get too rapped up in the data. People went nuts about heart health after we created tech to monitor it. The numbers made people feel as if it was a bigger deal than it is, as if there was a larger increase than there was. But the powers that be will offer play it because they can make money off your fear.

I love your interviews. I learn something new every time. I have always slept with the window open even when it is cold. However, even though it is an upstairs window, we now have a cat that brings in mice and birds, sometimes live. 🙀The upshot of that is we have to close the window at night and I really do miss the fresh air. we have tried opening other windows in the house but it is not as effective and he can get in them anyway!!
