This is great. I am a medically retired airline pilot now. With a little over 22,000 hours of real flight time. I use flight simulator everyday since I can no longer fly a real airplane. This software has been a lifesaver to allow me to have a connection to Aviation that I love.
I do the same thing. I haven’t lost my medical, and have been flying for about 47 years now. My first training was at 13 in a glider. I’m not dreaming of flying airliners. I like the old planes and GA. I’m also a helicopter pilot, so I like flying those expensive ones too. I figure $100 for a sim, is better than $800 to $5000 for an hour.
yes... I was a fan of msfs 2024 from the start because I watched their twitch streams when announcing new stuff and you can just tell that it is passion involved... Jorg is never about business in those streams, he is passion. I was and am sure that they will respect the community and 2024 will be better and will make it easier for devs to do fully integrated addons.
Was such an awesome opportunity to meet Jorg and Seb at the expo. I'm not kidding when I say that these 2 (in fact all the Asobo staff I met) are incredibly committed to microsoft flight sim and making it perfect. They took time out of their incredible busy schedules to sit down with us devs and answer every one of our questions and even take notes on our feedback. I'm very excited for what 2024 is going to bring!
Agreed. I am hard pressed to name another large developer that spends this much time with the community while simultaneously being so enthusiastic and down to earth.
Congratulations by the way!!! Similar story for me as well. Got a new computer during Covid, purchased MSFS 2020, took Sporty's PPL ground course. Once Covid was over started flying lessons. I got my PPL in October 2022. It is a great feeling. I am now working on my instrument rating. I am looking forward to watching more on your channel as you continue your aviation journey.
