    As a retired corporate pilot with 20k hrs in my book as well as being A n P mechanic for over 50 years, Speculation is the worst thing you can do at this point. It could have been one of a thousand things that went wrong, not shoddy maintenance. It may turn out to be a maintenance issue, but WAY TOO early to say that.
    My thoughts and prayers are with all lost on that flight.

      We had a very similar accident with a Corporate Jet departing an airport in Ohio and on that one, the pilots failed to set flaps for takeoff, but they just sort of waffled in trying to regain control whereas the jet here came down like a meteor.

      @@davidav8orpflanz561 the weather wasn't cold enough for icing conditions, they just took off as well no time for ice to accumulate. I'm sure as well if they had ice before takeoff they would have had to de ice before takeoff. I could be wrong but I think it was a stall either from something wrong right after takeoff or pilot error. The problem presented literally right after they left the ground or while they were still on the ground and they couldn't or didn't abort take off.

    • @Nick_the_Gold_Bach
      @Nick_the_Gold_Bach 6 днів тому +3

      @trippychick92 If it was a stall, it would more likely fall like a fluttering leaf like that F-35 over Alaska last week.
      It seemed to follow a near parabolic trajectory, under full power, from near the last ads-b reported alt of 1600 ft.
      So loss of pitch control seems consistent with that path, maybe failure of the controls to, or actuation of, the rear stabilizer.

    As a pilot, you should be nervous during takeoff. I survived a plane crash at Richmond International Airport in Richmond, VA on April 11, 2011 due to catastrophic left engine failure of my aircraft immediately after takeoff. I suffered 65% burns, 68 total surgeries (so far), 2 amputated fingers on my right hand, a completely rebuilt nose, and hundreds upon hundreds of hours of physical, occupational, and psychological therapy. There are risks to everything we do in life, and some things are simply out of our control. I truly mean this when I say live each day to the fullest, tell your loved ones how much you love them, and be grateful for everything you have. I received a 2nd chance at life, and I’m thankful for that every single day.

      done some skydiving. Takeoff and climb out is terrifying. Only reason I'm aware of the rate of engine failures on take off and the existence of a critical engine on a twin engine airplane. I've seen videos of a King Air and Queen Air just roll over the dead engine and nose dive. Also on a jump plane sometimes when the weight and balance of jumpers at the door isn't right it causes a stall that looks a lot like it's a roll over and dive - I think it has something to do with throttling back the left engine to reduce prop blast as well. Been wondering if it was a left engine failure this whole time.

The videos shown while he's speaking show the plane descending without any visible fire, merely the landing lights illuminating the fog/clouds. Also, so far there's nothing to suggest an in-flight breakup (no videos, even the clearer ones, show multiple parts falling) and the lack of other explosions suggest the plane is intact, as in none of the fuel tanks impacted elsewhere. Add on a claim that it was poor maintenance practice without anything to back that up, and this is nothing short of tasteless right now. I have another theory. Just a theory that shouldn't be neglected. This medical procedure for this patient is extremely expensive. The private jet, two doctors, pilots, and passengers from Mexico to a US hospital, and a return. No one has asked who the father was? What did he do in Mexico? Was he a rich businessman? A government official? Or someone connected to a Cartel? The reason I ask is because I think it possible, and only a theory, that someone wanted to send a message to the parents. The plane was close enough to warrant a bomb aboard being triggered by a cell phone as it was taking off. Cell tower data should be checked at the time of the crash.
    While this theory may be way off base, I still think it needs to be looked into. It is curious that no one has interviewed the parents of the child in question. That alone adds to my theory. You'd think the father would want to offer a statement. I'd like to see the persons that I am extending condolences.

      Jets like that are required to have an oxygen tank for use if there is a loss of cabin pressurization - the pilots have oxygen masks in the cockpit and there are oxygen masks that can drop down from the ceiling in the passenger section. Since it was a medical flight, the medical crew should have also had some sort of portable oxygen tank separate from the aircraft oxygen tank.

    ADSB data show the plane making a climbing left turn while in the clouds (400ft ceiling). Soon thereafter, the climb transitioned into a descent, and it appeared the crew were still in control of the aircraft even though they were flying it into the ground. There appeared to be no pilot-initiated evasive actions, and no radio calls. All in a climbing turn in IMC. It will be a long while before any probable cause is identified, but I certainly wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be spatial disorientation.
