  • My initial impression of the new Moza Flight gear. Currently there is a force feedback joystick with base, throttle with base, and pedals.
    Overall my initial impression is very positive. I am big fan of Moza's racing gear.
    The video is not a paid endorsement.

      That's what they had set up. Although the rig next to it was running something different I think.

      It is even the damn arcade mode in war thunder. not even the Simulator mode.

      i mean is good to see other flight sims other than dcs and flight simulator, and yes war thunder has a ton of sim characteristics

    First, thank you for the sensations, it must be fantastic to try something like this for the first time.
    One question please, could you notice the FF joystick when the plane went into a stall?

      I can't say that I felt anything, but I wasn't concentrating hard enough. Hope to get this in the future and I will certainly make a video if I do.

    the base is quite expensive tho, is $550, but from what i saw from other videos, you can actually put other joysticks there

      I am being told that some Thrustmaster and some Virpil grips can be used for sure.

    The revolution would be if it were possible to also use the joystick as an H shifter in simracing in the same rig..

      Yes it would. I would love to design/have a combo flight flight/racing rig. I have a racing rig on an aluminum frame from Advanced Sim Racing, and holy smokes is that thing solid with zero flex. I would love to have something light for my flight rig.

      VKB is still the standard imo. FFB is good when done well, but early models like this are likely to make you fly worse, not better. Still waiting to see how it impacts WW2 planes and chopper trim/hovering in DCS.

    Is the trigger on their stick single or dual stage?

      The seat is for sure GTR and it looked like GTR was sharing a booth with Moza.

    Is the base coming with airbus stick version? Had you heard anything from them?

      They have now posted pricing on their website, but they did not mention an Airbus stick to me, and I have not found it on their website or in news releases.

    Great Video! How does the Moza F-16 Grip feel compared to the Thrustmaster f-16 Viper Grip?

      The grip felt good, but I don't have a Thrustmaster grip yet to compare. Hopefully soon.

      I saw that. That is about what expected for the base. I am being told that is also compatible with Thrustmaster and Virpil sticks.

    Can it mount an extension?

      That's a great question. I did not ask that. Having said that, I think extensions would lessen the force felt at the grip, and depending on the length of the extension that might mitigate too much of the force.

      Me too. Price will be a big deal. Moza is usually pretty competitive. Fingers crossed.

      @@hornetj3777 Rough estimate: 5-6 inches by 7-8 inches. About 7-8 inches tall. It was mounted so I couldn't tell the weight, but Blu Games (who does a full review) says it's heavy.

      They are wider than my Thrustmaster pendulum style pedals, but they did not feel too wide. The width does give you a bit more precision.

    Is that War Thunder?
    Would have been better experience if they let you try it on a cold war Premium Jet instead of a Rank 1 plane
    And Sim mode instead of Realistic or Arcade.

      I am not sure. Others have said it was. Agreed. Need to try this out with DCS, MSFS, and X-Plane.

    The Moza was ok. Force feedback is great, but I also find my Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS satisfying with a much smaller base (even with the AVA upgrade).

      That is a great joystick you have, no doubt. Having said that, one thing I took from FSE 2024 was how cool force feedback is, and how behind the times flight simulation is compared to racing where force feedback is more and more common while also being affordable.

      Balljoint disqualifies the Warthog stick tbh. At this Point its basicly an overpriced x56 with a bit more metal. But then again. its over a Decade old by now right?
      By now there are way better Hotas options in the same Pricerange from Winwing etc :)

    its not a sim ,just game War thunder. Why did not you check on DCS f-18?

      The FA/18 is a fly by wire aircraft, forces are simulated to the pilot, you won't get a proper feel with a FFB stick. Now if he tried the Phantom then that's a different story 👍🏻

      @@tonyf9076 Haven't tried the Phantom yet, but if it's the same as the Tomcat (which I expect it is, seeing as it's the same developer) then it should be considered the gold standard of what FFB support should be like.
