  • In this video Captain C.A. Richardson will going over Docklight Snook Fishing Tips. Fishing at night isn't something you'll see often on the Flats Class UA-cam channel even though it can be an extremely effective form of catching inshore game fish. But, since C.A. was on vacation he decided to bring everyone something a little different to kick off arguably one of the best times of year's to catch these fish in the evening hours. If you're big into late night snook fishing let us know in the comments below. We'd love to hear exactly how you like targeting them and if you were able to find this video helpful also please share that feedback in the comments.

      They do it about late August/ October- April into may here in Virginia, same with speckled trout. Reds and specks are here almost always , they leave in October and come back in may

    Excellent! Do you ever see glass minnows or shad in the lights?

      You bet all the time. Maybe my all-time favorite technique is to burn a small buck tail jig through the light for a reaction bite from snook!

    Will you help me learn how to catch Big Trout under the lights on my dock?

    Notice how the Bigger Snook were below the smaller ones and eating the bigger baits that came by..the one that ate the crab was probably pushing 30 inches

    What lights do you recommend for docks?

    Can you explain "hill tide"? Incoming on the full moon build up?

    • @flatsclasscharters
      @flatsclasscharters 3 роки тому +1

      It’s actually the sharp outgoing tide that drops the tidal range quickly with lots of force and pulls shrimp, minnows and crabs from their habitat.

      @@flatsclasscharters thank you Capt. I'm up here in Jacksonville so I'm trying to apply some if this. Been kayak fishing up here for years and recently got more into finding trout.

    Try giving the lure, a layer of
    Asafoetida paste or Garlic paste Or decayed Goat blood ( each one seperately).
    I am sure it would give better results.
    Unfortunately ur hand could stink 😂
