In the St John’s here in Jacksonville they are in 1-5 feet of water. Usually paired up or threes. Shell bars. Water is pretty bourbon clear I call it. Smaller baits work best. Various retrieves. Just posted some videos.

You mentioned a moderate fast rod. Most rods are listed as fast. What specific rods would you recommend?

Hopefully this video will help. I found em but they’ll follow, blow up even bite but won’t choke it. I’m pulling what hair I have left out.

Went chasing juvy Tarpon in Alabama today.
I found the hole they’re in. They were rising, pounding something all day long.
I couldn’t figure out how to hook one.
They get to about 40 pounds up here in the creeks.

i found doa terroreyz works well. Very small profile. And like you said not much action/vibration. Also werks great for snook.

@@Varsh_97how do you retrieve them in the backwater? I’m going tarpon fishing tomorrow morning in a backwater area with no current

@@aidanobuck5779Man I just seen this comment or else I would have totally replied. But I usually work them slow. Try to make them look like a dying fish. Try to keep it near bottom. That's where I have The most success with them. Well the success I've had with any lure. To be honest, flarehawks are up there, but you're only catching big ones with flair hawks.
