Yeah buying a huge amp like this is the easy part. Buying and mounting extra alternators and batteries to feed it is the far more complex part.
@@303nitzubishi4 One extra alt and 1 lithium battery with enough 0 gauge will suffice for upwards of 10k rms unless you play song after song with the volume up. For most people, crank it loud for one great song and dial it back down for the next and 1500 bucks worth of electrical will give you the freedom to install just about any amp you want.
Remember Big D's very important comment. "It takes power to make Power."
Without the proper batteries , alternator and wiring, not going to happen. That goes for all not only this Beast.

that's 8-9 battery's at 100AH each!!
Once you reach a certain point it's probably easier to just build a generator on a trailer or roof rack or something to power your spl amps 😆

We need to teach some of these people about amperage. Everybody is so into voltage they forget about the most important thing. I explained it to the newbies dealing with electrical and getting electrocuted. Think of the wattage as water and the orange juice running through the water as the amperage the more orange juice get the picture? Makes it easy for the average consumer.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but they measured the wattage on one amp at 15,903 and he was running 12 amplifiers 12 x 15,903 = 190,836 watts
While there is no universe where I would ever use this amp I am glad it exists. It moves the hobby forward and hopefully the technology can trickle down to smaller amps. As a plus, this one can’t be mounted on a Harley to blast midrange at the world. Great job keeping it interesting Big D.

Thanks for the demo as always big D. I'm an sq guy so I couldn't care less about an amp like this but it's cool to see how the other half lives 😀 The stacked PCB design seems like a great idea, hopefully other manufacturers start adopting it at some point even for more daily driver type amplifiers
The new D4S JP amps use all SMD (surface mount) electronics, that's why they are so much smaller than previous half bridge amps with the same power. Incriminator said they are working on this as well and future amps may be half the size as well 😮

Great review, important note: I noticed after I paused it at 9:20 mark on the left side of the intimidator sign of the caps that something that's squared looks kinda burned off maybe it's my viewing I don't know but I'd check it out if I were you but I know it's a year later so I hope you get to read or at least look into it, best of wishes Big D

Revisiting this one. I have an old IA 20.1 that I used to run on an RE MT12 with dual .7 coils wired to .35
Surprised this one went into protect but I guess you dont really need to run the giant amps that low.

hey there bro had a question about the fuses for these amps. i ordered the ix 6000 yesterday. would i use 3 200amp fuses on the 3 positive wires that go to this amp to equal up to 600amps. or 600amp fuses for all 3 positives wires?

any suggestions for a half decently priced 4 channel amp for a SQ build for my truck? list so far 4 sundown sa10's, audiocontrol dm-810 dsp, 2 sets component jbl gto609c 6.5 sets, and 200 pounds of sound deadener lol 1/2" thick around the hole truck to deaden the diesel engine. thanks
for what its used for (and the extra money you'll be dumping in, considering) only downside i see is the remote voltmeter, but that's a minor quibble and easily fixed. and really, considering the output, it's a decently compact package compared to some i've seen at the same rating, that don't go as far over rated.

I really like the idea of a taller, shorter amp. It opens up a lot in terms of installation limitations that other high output half bridge amps have due to their length. Incriminator branding just doesn't speak to me though so I've never given their gear a try.

Yo it must be a beast. Dyno can only measure 15kW at 1 ohm and I knew this amp would overload it
These Incriminator amps are a work of art, if my dealer carried them i would have went that direction, but my Crossfire 16k is holding strong at .67 on 3 Xt3 18's, and 135ah of c-max, honestly I've been happy so far🤙, Super solid numbers out of the Incriminator 🤯, thanks Big D💯

I wonder what the difference between the IX series amps and the IA series are
I remember being 23 years old and dreaming of having an IA 40.1. At the time (and still today even) the amount of money it took to buy the amp and supporting electrical system was out of budget. I wound up going from 2 eD nine.1s on 2 RE SX 15s to 2 Autotek MM4000s on 2 RE MTs. 800 bucks I paid for the pair of MM4000s. Great amps but not 40.1 great. Now 4k amps are everywhere and people are dreaming of 12k amps.

Dynamic is realistically all people should care about.. that’s what you actually are getting while listening to music.. people focused on rms which is great to paper numbers on a test tone.. but at say 100w you bouncing between 40-120 as the music plays certain notes and songs.. dynamic is where it’s at and the reason these are so widely used in spl is because of that.. simply they put a lot more effort into larger internal caps and coils.. = dynamic power and louder hits on music.. it also give you that extra for spl burps..
They never listen and say dynamic is useless…🤦♂️

Hi Big D, I Got 2 new Soundstream team x5.15 in ground shaker boxes that are both dule 1-ohm coils. I can set them up for 1 or .5 impedance,7000 rms and 15,000 peek. Please give me a shot at this. I would expect 140 DB + let me know what you think
Really sweet amp, these guys are fast becoming a dominant brand in the spl and bump market. Only thing that bummed me out is the remote, for that price and that level it should have a volt meter built in, kind of chincy there.

It's a good amplifier but I'm not running any amplifier up to clipping? For two main reasons I don't want my coils smelling and I don't want a voltage drop? And the voltage is going to drop when it is clipping?
SPL competitors use clipping to get some extra deebeez
I love that we have so many options now days. Even 5 yrs ago we didn't have a whole lot of choices. Even with all the bs in the world you can build a VERY powerful system for a couple grand or less depending on your taste and goals n the bass knob is the same you get with skar, synergy, ect. The two I have rn have lasted longer than rockfords $40 remote for sho

Heat and electronics never mix well, so the fact it stays cool is a huge plus
