- Hi friends, for my last video of 2023, i wanted to try something a little different and share why i started this youtube journey in the first place. Thank you to all 148 of you that subscribed this year, liked and commented on any of my videos. You being here means more than you can imagine. just wanted to say it was so wonderful stumbling upon this video. the first few minutes were so extremely relatable---the experience of parents not having a lot of your memories or past versions of you recorded because they prioritized careers over everything. self-discovery being under prioritized and seen as an afterthought, whilst jobs (and what type of job) you have is most important. i also was really trying to find and scavenge for cinematic films made by people that look like me, and you are finally the first person i came across that does. it's been making me genuinely upset and sad at the huge lack of representation, but also makes me excited for me to be able to create things with my own spin on it too. thank you for showing me that people like you exist within the creative realm :-)

This is a really cool idea, and honestly quite inspiring. I feel like i hardly member what happened in my 20's anymore, and i really regret not salvaging what handful of good memories ive had during the past decade thus far. I too want to see how i grow and change and not lose track of who I am. Blessings, I hope this journey goes well for you!

I think it's wonderful that you're documenting your life for future you. I wish I had been able to do so when I was younger...but I'm 48 now and I'm just starting to do it anyway lol! Lovely video!

There is a really good study, that shows, that if you film or photograph moments of your life, you tend to forget them easier. The study showed that documenting gives rise to an attitude that it is not so important to remember the moments because you have captured them. Everyday photography and videography is a memory killer. It's proven. So PLEASE STOP THIS MADNESS. There are so many people advocating documentation of your life, but it's so unnecessary... also I feel like it's kind of masturbation at this point... you know?
