No cuz when I was a kid I’d look at art styles I didn’t really like and I’d say “I could do better” and draw the characters in my art style. They looked like they had stage 10 Down syndrome, had gotten into 30 car crashes, had fallen off a cliff, and survived a rabid chimpanzee attack. This was supposed to be realism art. I thought it looked amazing.

I find myself so relatable to you when I was 11! ok so here are the similarities: I got a crush in my late year 6 (11) and I even founf myself way more interested in how I looked, and I did write all my ideas in my journal❤😂 I even had a morning routine and afternoon routine😭🙏 ofc I didnt have any of that expensive skincare stuff❤

I trew away my diary when i was 9-10 cuz my mom was reading it. It was those "pink pricess diary". It even had a lock, but my mom found a way to read it anyway. And she always juged the things i wrote. I don't know why, but she doesn't have any sense of privacy, and it's not just because of this diary- is everything. And the only thing she gave me more "privacy" was the internet... also known as "unsupervised internet for children". And when i tried to talk abt it she blamed me for seeing things i shouldn't when i was younger (like K0rn and g0r3, and worse) Anyway, i really wished i had my old diary, i just have some memories of some page. Like something abt being in love with Bendy and the Ink Machine???😭 some furry arts too lol. For me it's pretty sad that I'll never be able to reach theses memories again.

Probably because in that time, you were the best of your peers, or if adults said it to you, they realized you were advanced for your age group. 😂 I got it all the time. When I was younger. One of my uncles is a professional artist, and he looked over my and my brother's artwork when we were kids (we never got to see him, he lived across the country) and he was very encouraging. He cautioned us to save our old work. He told us "believe it or not, when you get older, you're going to want to look back on this. You'll go through a phase where you'll want to burn it, but don't. It's a record of how far you have come."
@alechianese01 of course it is. But you may regret it later in life. You may not, but you might. I'm actually kinda glad I didn't get rid of my old art. I may cringe like crazy looking at it, but... It takes me back to a simpler time.
