I thought you said "Fossorial"? Don't fossorial species need HELLA substrate to dig in, like at least half of the enclosure? I don't want to sound mean or rude because I think your enclosure is amazing! It's so pretty!
Your not being rude at all, in the wild they will burrow to escape the heat of the day , in captivity the heat is nothing like it is in the wild so they don't have to burrow so deep, also this is a dwarf sp so they don't burrow deep at all, they live on the sides of mountains so I tried to give it a slope to burrow horizontal.
I do apologie for not explaining in the video .
First video of yours I have caught, Scott, and already subscribed. Very cool species, just grabbed a tiny one at a show two weeks ago. What container(s) do you use for your fossorial slings? Also, will you be attempting pairings with this species? Looking forward to watching the rest of your videos!
Pairing I will try for sure.with this sp, you were at Bedford? I was on the venomous visions stand , are you going the Coventry show this weekend? Arboreal slings? 32 oz deli cups
@@ScottsInverts Nice! Looking forward to the results.
I was not at Bedford. Currently across the pond and went to Repticon near Baltimore. Reading about the British Tarantula Society expo (held in Coventry, I think) on National Geographic got me interested in keeping spiders. Will have to get over to Coventry someday, even if I can’t bring anything back. I did manage to bring my collection back from China to the US with some paperwork, so one never knows…
Beautiful enclosure I love these spiders as well😊 Tell me where do you find live green moss that hasn't been exposed to insecticides? I've been using sphagnum moss but I'd rather use something alive and green!
National parks, I go to place in Coventry called combe Abbey, check with park wardens I can take the moss they normally advise a area to go to and double check that area is free from nasties with the warden
@@ScottsInverts Great idea! I'll give it a go. Keep up the good work. Was just watching your other video on the Orange Philippine 🧡 I have one of those as well. Gorgeous T!
@@_Pelagikos14 thank you ❤️
