    I have been building model kits off and on for 40 years. I I have used most of the techniques you use but never owned an air brush. I have always had great luck with testors model master rattle cans. Recently I have started doing custom builds where I have to use parts from several different kits as well as aftermarket cast resin parts to build one tricked out vehicle. I would love to see you do something like this as it is a lot of fun but can also be a bit frustrating trying to locate the parts you need.
    My current project is an Early Ford Bronco as built by Velocity Restorations. I started with Revell's new Baja Bronco then added suspension parts, roll cage, wheels & tires from Fireball Modelworks, the Coyote Motor, seats & Brakes from Revell's Mustang GT, mirrors from Mobeus' 72 ford pickup and various detail parts and accessories from Shapeways.

    Great tip on marking the panel lines. What grades of sanding sticks/paper do you use for their removal?

    excellent video. I just started this same kit a couple days ago. Are you using sealer since it's molded in red?

    Hi, I have a question. But first of all, thanks for the great videos. You really inspired me to get into model cars again, and i recently finished my first project, a 69 Camaro. It's not perfect, but quite good for a first car I guess. I'm now working on a 1970 Challenger. My question: How do you paint the inside of the body? Not the interior, the... Well. Inside of the body :D Do you just keep it like it came out of the box? Or black? Or matching to the interior? I hope you know what I mean.
    Greetings from some guy from Germany :D

      Der Eggad Some times black sometimes interior color. I mostly do it with a brush. Sometimes its a seprate piece then i will do it with the airbrush.

    Not cutting out the windshield wiper over plastic?

    • @TheScalemodelingChannel
      @TheScalemodelingChannel  9 років тому

      Steve Watts This is just a quick build, so not getting in to super detailing it like that, all will be fixed during painting with some different shades of black.

    Tom, I am starting this truck today. About three weeks ago I wasn't even interested in modeling and one of your videos popped up on my YT feed and I thought your work looked so cool that I had to try it. I bought most of the items you recommended and got started. I just finished my first model and posted pics here where I gave you a tip of the hat too. www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/132897-finished-my-first-model/
    Thanks for all the great videos and instruction... I couldn't have built my first one without all the tips I learned from you.

      Hey Tom, I just finished this one and it was perfect for the second model as you had some side bar tutorials with this one. I was able to do the wheels like you did and the windshield. I'll stop harassing you with my builds after this one but since I posted above that I started it I figured I'd let you see the results. Not nearly as nice as yours but I learned a lot from you on it so thanks! This link should take you to the post with the pics.
