    Your videos are great and are so accurate especially for jacuzzi brand tubs! I have an '09 J-365 where half of the jets won't induce air in to the jet. They are all the smaller mini power pro FX (6540-555). How do you remove Jacuzzi specific Jets, especially the smaller 3.25" ones? Also could there be water in the Air line that is causing the air not to enter the jet? IF so how do you get the water out to get it working again? Thanks!

    So helpful! Thank you so so much. Service here on Prince Edward Island Canada 🇨🇦is very poor for spas. 😐I am on the net learning how to repair a leak(s). I just got it jacked up 8 inches while I wait for the deck to totally dry. I have a roto molded 2 person spa, 14 jets. When I drained it I did a Pro tip by draining it to under the top row of jets to see if the leak will stop. That way one can narrow down which row of jets are possibly the leak or which hoses are.
    The next morning no drips in the huge bowls. I completed draining it, got all the material to get it lifted up on some boards that are on 6 inch square left over posts.
    A roto mold spa means I have to get underneath it. I looked underneath while it was up 8 inches and saw large rectangular area's that has a see through plastic on them. I guess these rectangular areas are a small area to help get at the plumbing?? I may have to cut more underneath if I can not get at the hoses.
    First things first though, I have to pull out the Styrofoam and it is the very soft kind. I will have to do that soon because I need to find the wet Styrofoam to help get the exact location. I guess once I remove the Styrofoam I can replace it with different easy to remove insulation so that the next time it will be less labour intensive getting to the plumbing.
    More youtube spa vids to continue to look at for more pro tips and education on spa plumbing. Cheers from Atlantic Canada.👍🇨🇦

      @@spaman5440 Hi there,💯 Thank you for letting me know you have worked on several over the years on the roto molded spa's. I will prepare myself to have to remove other parts so to get at the part that is leaking. I guess it is OK to tilt it on its side? Logically did you tilt it so that the heavy side where the motor is, and the side panel, was facing on the ground? It is today that I have to make the decision or the decision to keep finding 6 by 6b left over posts to keep jacking it up to a height that will not topple over and so that I have enough room to get underneath it.
      I feel getting it up 3 feet above the deck floor
      would be ideal. Thoughts? Tilt with motor side on the ground or keep jacking it up as high as I can get it. I have a small hydraulic jack available and would place 6 x 6 old posts laying on their sides to keep getting the proposed 3 foot height. Good to hear from you and I so appreciate your videos.💯🙏🇨🇦

    Great advice thank you! I have a Jacuzzi J-335 where the jet adjustments are next to impossible to adjust. I'm guessing calcium deposits have them stuck in place. Any tips on how to get them moving again? Thanks

      When I have that problem in the shop I use compressed air I just keep working it CW then CCW until I get it moving (Don't force it or you will break the seal between the jet body and the tub and then you will have a leak to fix also) If that is not getting it done drain the tub and use a portable pressure washer to clean it out or hose with a lot of pressure to get the job done..Hope that Helps and Thanks for Watching &SUBSCRIBING...

    one of my jets in aqua spa tub is leaking. problem is, it's one of those foam wraparound tubs. if I turn the jet clockwise it should block the water from coming in, but will that stop the leak or increase it? if the seal to tub is cracked, can I spray foam in through the jet and hope that works, or do I have to dig out the foam and replace the whole jet. nasty problem and i'm no expert, so I turn to you! thanks so much

      Start digging and fix it right...The job suck but there are no short cuts when it come to a leak...the ways that you mentioned will only make the problem worse in the future. Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING

    Is it possible to change out gold jets in a lasco tub to bone jets?

      As long as everything fits in the hole and you have a way to seal it up I would say Yes.

    I have two air jet valves on my spa. Each one feeds each half the spa. Worked for the last 13 years until my house became a rental. When I open the valve by unscrewing the control, the jets are supposed to suck the air. The problem is, now when I open the air valves water comes out of them rather than sucking the air through the jet. Any ideas?

    • @spaman5440
      @spaman5440  3 роки тому

      Yes ...The parts on the inside of the valve are not sealing anymore ...Easy fix buy the same part the complete unit and just take the guts out of the new unit and replace in the old housing in the tub..This saves a ton of time..Now if the housing in the tub is also junk then by all means replace everything... Hope that Helps .. Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING

    I have another video channel called DIY Mr Scott and I was doing a video on how to install a Tankless Water Heater and while I was doing the product review and unboxing a very large staple that was in the cardboard got me really good. It was one of those 3 inch by 1/4 heavy duty ones and I didn't see it and it was pretty bad at the time I had several videos that had to be done so I just used some liquid glue for cuts and continued to finish the videos..For several days it was like my finger had a heart beat of it own. helpful and informative. I'm refurbing an old morgan spa that came with my house. Put in a new Spa Pack and had to redo some of the plumbing. The orginal pump still works so I kept it. The spa only has a handful of jets. Can I add some? Or would it require a bigger pump or blower to keep pressure? I'm new to all this, still learning.

    Is there a way to tell you put the jet in wrong or does the jet only go in one way

    • @spaman5440
      @spaman5440  3 роки тому +1

      Some...not all jets only go in one way and they will only go in and work one way and you will never have a problem with them(they are screwed in ) ...Now other jets will go in two ways(These snap in) the first way will be the correct way and the jet will work perfect but if you take that same jet and remove it and turn it 180 degrees and reinstall it it will not work correctly and it will not have proper pressure.Hope this helps Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING

    If you are missing jets will that cause the tub to leak?

    • @spaman5440
      @spaman5440  3 роки тому

      No ...As I show in this video there are two parts... The housing witch is sealed to the tub and the Jet itself. now if there is no jet the tub will still work you just don't get the full effect...and as long as the housing is still sealed to the tub it should not leak.. Hope that Helps Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING

      @spaman5440 turned out the plastic inside was glued too much and wouldn't rotate, only the outside part would. It was replaced and is working fine. The hot tub was brand new and had never been used.
