  • Check out this video to see how to make Korean sweet pancake, Hotteok at home. This popular Korean street food includes glutinous rice flour so this sweet pancake is extra soft and chewy! Enjoy the irresistible sweet filling which consists of cinnamon sugar, peanuts and sesame seeds!
    📋 Ingredients:
    For Dough:
    Warm milk - 50g
    Warm Water - 200g
    Sugar - 25g
    Active dry yeast - 3g
    All-purpose flour - 250g
Sweet rice flour (glutinous rice flour/powder) - 50g
    Unsalted butter - 8g
    Oil - 15g
    Baking powder - 3g
    Salt - 3g
    For Filling:
    Brown sugar - 10 tbsp
    Cinnamon powder - 1/2 tbsp
    All-purpose flour - 1 tbsp
Unsalted peanuts - 2.5 tbsp (you can use any other nuts)
    Sesame seeds - 1.5 tbsp
    Pinch of salt
    👩‍🍳 Instructions:
    1) In warm milk and water, add sugar and active dry yeast. Whisk together and let it sit for about 5 minutes until the yeast looks foamy. If you are using instant yeast, you can skip this step and mix it right into other ingredients.
    2) Combine all of the ingredients in the bowl.
    3) Knead the dough by hand or with a stand mixer on low speed (2-4) for about 10 mins. The longer you knead the dough, the stickier the dough becomes.
    4) Cover the dough with plastic wrap. Place it in a warm place and let it rise until it doubles in size, about an hour.
    5) Prepare the filling by chopping the peanuts and mixing all the filling ingredients well.
    6) Heat a pan with a couple of tablespoons of oil over medium heat.
    7) Put oil on your hands, tear a big enough piece of the dough to make a 3-inch ball. Flatten the ball into a thick disk, creating a shallow well in the middle.
    8) Add 2 tbsp of the filling and lightly press it down with the spoon. Gather the edges together and pinch to seal.
    9) Put the sealed side down on the pan and let it cook for about 1 minute or until the bottom is slightly cooked.
    10) Flip over and press it down with your oiled spatula or potato masher.
    11) Cook at medium heat until both sides are golden brown. Repeat the process with the remaining dough.

    • @NiniKoko
      @NiniKoko  2 роки тому +1

밀가루를 소량 넣는 이유는 설탕이 녹았을때 점성이 생겨 물처럼 흐르지 않게 하기 위해서입니다

Can these be made ahead of time then frozen?

I've never done it but I know some people freeze leftovers and reheat later. They won't be as good as freshly made but I do think it is possible.
