The features this gun comes with for the price shows that they truly care and EVERY gun over 2 grand should come with all of these goodies, my gosh
I totally agree. Every gun in this price range and higher should come with all the bells and whistles. Legion Precision and BG Defense are setting a new standard for these high end 2011s.
Two things I like about this....P320 mags and no back strap safety

i hate backstrap safeties also. However my Springfield Armory Ronin has one and I can't even feel it when I take it to the range.

@@teamblacksmithllc I had it narrowed down to 3 choices: Bul Armory SAS Tac 4.25/ Staccato P/ Oracle 2311. As my first foray into this type of firearm, I felt I was getting the most for the money with the 2311. Really couldn't have gone wrong with any of them. And there's always tomorrow....lol.

I've been following oracle arms 2311 sense the beginning of the year. And I've been extremely interested. I think your footage shows, with your proper grip that it's a nice recoiling firearm.
If I could get any Sig, with a different trigger than thier garbage (in my opinion) trigger module, I would buy sigs over alot of other brands.
So this pistol might be a winner for me. I do want to get my hands on the compact version.
Also adjusting trigger springs on 1911/ds1911's isn't very hard. But I understand when a guy is borrowing the store rental, best to leave it be.
Nice pistol, ill wait a little bit to see if any issues come up.

I love my Staccato, but man, if the 2311 ain’t one of the best damn looking pistols around. I remember when CZ was the hipsters gun. Those same hipsters are spoiled in todays gun world! On top of this, you show they include all of the plates!? I had to drop 150 just to put an RMR on a brand new Staccato!

The reason you get a 1911 platform is the trigger so I’m not interested in a 6.5 lb trigger, esp at that price.
I’ll wait until either the price drops or the trigger improves

These are made for duty carry. I would not want anything less than 4.5 lbs for duty. The Pro models will have the lighter triggers.

A Staccato P (duty grade 1911 styled weapon) has a trigger weight of 4.5 lbs.
Bul Armory SAS Tac ii has a trigger weight of 3.5 lbs
Over 6 lbs on a 1911 platform is ridiculous, esp when you can engage the safety until you’re ready to break a shot

I can’t decide if I want full size or compact for edc. Limited compact uploads on YT and I’m not waiting on the pro to drop. 30-60 day lead time right now.

Just spend extra and get the tried and true Staccatos. They are the glock of the double stacked magazine 1911.

You’re welcome!! I would rank them. Staccato, BUL, 2311, and Prodigy. I never had an opportunity to shoot a platypus. The 2311 has the potential to be one of the best. Hopefully the Pro model will show promise. Thanks for watching.

Yes on the EDC point. The last trigger pull came in at 5.5lbs but still too heavy for me for anything else but an EDC. Still a nice platform. Waiting for the Pro model though. Thanks for your support my brother.
The more I see this gun the more it grows on me. But I'm still torn on if I should get this or a bul armory or even an alchemy custom hi cap
CR!! Good morning!! I would say it all depends on what you will use it for? Since you’re talking about the BUL and Alchemy, I would recommend waiting for the 2311 Pro model. Cool gun but seems like 320 to me but then if your into that price 2600 for pro model you can get 226 x5 legion would like to see comparison between the two

It sounds my walther pdp when you rack it. Not like my staccato. What’s your opinion? Maybe because of the link less barrel? Over 2000 dollars no thanks. Sticking with staccato.
Donnie!! Good morning!! I agree with you there. Oh it’s definitely not a Staccato. I have a Walther PDP and I would place it above the PDP. In my opinion, the linkless barrel is the way to go with these new models. If I had to pick between the Staccato and 2311 it would be the Staccato. aww the famous Oracle Arms 2311 they promised us last year and still haven't been able to get all the models out to the public. Now they promise us this is the year. If I was a betting man I would say Bet the house they wont have them all the models out this year as well

Looks good just wish the grip was a lil longer it look so top heavy and I like full grip to get ahold of the gun

Doesn’t take first gen 15 round 320 mags. Tried all of mine and they don’t lock in. Does take the 17 rounds and 21.

Good morning Brett!! I’m not sure if this question is for Skipgunz or me but here is why I would buy it over the P320. I love the 2011 platform and prefer the 2011 features including the thumb rests on the 2311 over the P320. It is just a personal preference for overall handling, grip placement, and ergonomics for me. Appreciate the question.

@@paulh6101 the grip on the OA 2311 is wider than the Staccato P. It actually feels a bit better than the P to me because of my large hands.
@teamblacksmithllc ok good to know. I will most likely be going the updated platypus or the 2024 staccato c. The 2011 grips are too big. They finally made mags that are dedicated to 9mm instead of the .45....

Your trigger pull weight was less than 5.5 lbs, not 6 lbs.

The grouping didn't look that good for a pistol competing in the staccato price point or maybe it was the operator who knows.
Hey Brett. It was definitely the operator. My expectations was it would have similar actions like a 2011. It took a while for me to settle down and shot it differently. Grip position and recoil management. Overall it’s a great duty gun. I’m looking forward to shooting their pro model. Appreciate your feedback. Thanks for watching.
@teamblacksmithllc yeah if your use to good 2011 triggers then that may of been why. I can't see opening 2600 for the pro when you can buy a bul tac II pro with v8 porting included for 2250 that has a proven competition line of pistols backing it and a super nice trigger better than my staccatos.
