I absolutely agree with you, it's a game changer. And by the way I am a Glock fan...huge fan. My point was the aesthetics, 1911/2011 guys have grown accustomed to the high-end/high-cost magazines and I believe tend to think of 1911/2011's as a 'cut above' standard polymer pistols (and they arguably are performance wise). When you drop a $100 magazine on rocks, you feel it deep inside....when you drop a Glock mag....well, no big deal. It takes away from that feeling of exclusivity....I may not have captured that well to your point! Hope you subscribed, more great guns coming up and I do appreciate the feedback!
I'm waiting for Stealth Arms to finish building my Platypus. In the meantime, I bought a Live Free Armory Apollo 11 which I absolutely love. This thing is so easy to shoot well that it almost seems like cheating. I looked hard at the Oracle Arms offerings before I made my purchase decision. The ability to configure the Platypus with the style of slide, barrel, trigger and color scheme of my choosing won the prize. If I decide to buy another double stack pistol I might look at the Oracle again but the number of new entrants in the category is staggering. Too many options, not enough money !

agree here.. end of day folk are looking for hands on impressions.. they can read specs and watch other tubers shoot them similarly. VS has to pick a winner, even if it's just a sample size of one. don't worry about upsetting folk or manufacturers.. picking helps them get better. most folk aren't going to buy both or have the chance to shoot both and decide. :D
Platypus !!!! I’m sure that offerings in the next few years are going to take the gun to the next level . I really do think that Stealth Arms has taken the double stack 1911 industry into a whole new direction. I honestly think that They have open the door for new shooter to get into the 1911/2011 game
That was literally a whole video full of analogies but no information. You didn't talk about the triggers, the ergos, the parts compatibility between normal 2011s, nothing. And if you're going to do a versus video, then tell us which one you like more and why.

Excited to see oracle arms release their competition line 2311 later this year. As a company, it’s still in its infancy, but shows lots of potential if you’re already invested in the sig universe. AND as you stated, want a “next generation” appearance. Stealth arms has released (in the past 10ish days) NEW customization options on their website, such as a Bull barrel and new grip texture that looks AMAZING. They will also be offering additional caliber options later this year, ALL of which, utilizing glock magazines from different glock models designated to their calibers. Both firearms afford the average shooter a chance to enter the DB 1911 universe, while not needing to buy proprietary magazines. Which can easily cost over $50-$130, per magazine. Stealth arms does take the cake for me though. Cerakote Customization is literally endless. OEM Glock magazine reliability and availability. Trigger length of pull, weight and profile options. Red dot footprint milled directly into the slide for better co-witnessing. The list goes on and on. And if you don’t like your build, you can buy that different trigger, or ambidextrous thumb safety you didn’t know you wanted until after you bought it, even a new barrel, so long as you send in your platypus to get it fitted. All hand fitted. Just plain Awesome.

Wow that was probably the worst review I’ve ever seen. You failed to mention a single feature of either gun and you think that using Glock mags is a con? It’s literally the only good part of a Glock and they’re $25 new. Also failed to mention the customizability of the platypus on their website and the fact that the Oracle takes Sig 320 mags.

Customizations are unmatched as far as I know by any other manufacturer. Everyone has Glock mags hanging around so…yeah it does make it popular. I’ve been contemplating getting an Apollo to build up. Is yours a newer one with the locking lugs for the optic and forged small parts?
