Yes Pam , you know your stuff. It's just a pity that he chose the way he wanted to go. We can only guess the reasons but I think he couldn't get people and record companies to see his talent. A sad loss for all..

A massive thank you to the band - true gentlemen. My 8- and 6-year old boys are huge Big Country fans. Took them to the Thame Music Festival on Saturday - the band were so kind and let them on the stage to play guitars on Fields of Fire. They'll remember that night forever. Dreams stay with you! Thank you Big Country, a great, great band.

Fantastic! I remember The Tube as a kid and it was cool as TOTP was so cheesy and wooden being Typical BBC,but C4 was the new channel going forward. RIP Stuart, respect for you and your memory. ✝️🏴

I was lucky enough to see big country several times in the 80s as a dedicated fan, stuart is without doubt the most underrated song writer ,guitar player of his generational the best live band by far.God rest the fabulous stuart Adamson,we miss you.
This band was soooooo under-appreciated; they, to me, are one of the tightest (musically) bands that ever were... RIP Stewart, and thank you, for the great memories of my youth!! Never had the chance to see them live, but, man seeing these live videos, I really missed out.... Thankfully, the music will live forever....
It was around this time I saw them at Hammersmith London 💕 wearing a millits shirt tied at the front with ripped off sleeves and losing my shoes with all the jumping 🤣 Good times 👍🏼 Great Band

A Scots band in Newcastle-as someone from the Toon-a perfect mix! Know Dunfermline n Scotland v well-North of the Border every week n have more affiliation with the Scots than any other part of the UK! Great band!

Drove 100 mile round trip in thick fog, in the early '80's to see Big Country.. Well worth the trip..!
Ditto best show I ever saw. (ok it wasnt that foggy for my trip)
All of that generation now in their 50s and going into the 60s and beyond.

Saw big country many times at the Playhouse in Edinburgh ❤❤❤the Hogmanay concert was brilliant.. xxx
The audience tells you how good Big Country was. Always tore the roof off the place.
A very spiritual, emotional yet truly soulful song that makes you cry and dance proudly to it's Scottish heritage.
So great to see Stuart go down in the audience to embrace the fans. Such a great band and lead singer. Taken from this world too soon.
guitars that sounded like bagpipes, a genius gone for 21 years, we were so blessed then.
what a time it was to be alive! fuck the '60's...gimme the '80's!
RIGHT? Sick of boomer and the 60's!
80's forever! I lived it, it was great!
I tell everybody, that there was no better time to be a teen than the 80's. All the best bands put out their best albums then......
He looked so happy and handsome in this
Such a legend and so sad he was not helped when he needed it
Yeah true since his tragic death i cant help but feel he was asking for help in his songs lyrics.
There’s a video about his songwriting and how it could have been a cry for help.

These guys had a fantastic sound……pretty sure we all now know where the “The Edge” from U2 got few ideas eh!… 🤔
The 80s were great, all your money was spent on records, beer and clothes.
