Stuart would have turned 63 today..11 April 1958 Manchester - 16 December 2001 Honolulu. He took his own like a few miles from where I live.. So sad. We you Love Stuart..
I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a TRAGIC story in my life!! I’m so sorry for this awesome sweetie pie!! WoW, it breaks my heart to see some one cut down in their young life!! RIP Stuart Adamson!! ♥️😢♥️😢♥️
ARNOLD MCGLASHAN Flew to England in 1998 to see them play in the upper Lake District at a community center. The original venue canceled because the staging didn't get approved. The promoter quickly found another venue. Met the boys backstage after the show. Nicest guys ever!!
It was an honour and privilege to sed this great band live! Talking of great, when the jam split in 82, thank god we had big country to take over their mantle and still keep it real. R I P stuart. Legend!
Stuart was a genius and Bruce is just Bruce, but Mark and Tony were one helluva rhythm section. Awesome band and no mistake. To see them live was amazing. Especially in the Barrowland
They all look like they're having the time of their lives up there, rocking out, giving it all to the crowd and enjoying the energy of the crowd feeding back to them. This is how I prefer to remember Stuart - smiling, playing and singing and for that moment, loving life. RIP to him: to the rest of us, Stay Alive!
seen them live at knebworth 86.....if queen were not the main band that day i would have said it was BC, the next day i went out and bought all the BC albums....brilliant live..brilliant on vynl......so sad stuart didnt feel that way....what a tragic loss to the music world...RIP Stuart thank you for what you have left us to listen to...
OMG, he’s sooooo missed, having done/tried the SAME thing, (I totally understand), but tomorrow is ALWAYS ‘better’, I’m so sorry this poor guy/genius felt so desperate to end his life!! He’s such a doll & he is missed & loved ( of course, me) by his fans!!! RIP Stuart Adamson!! He looks soooo HAPPY here! 😢😢🙏🏻🙏🏻♥️♥️
I saw them at the Hollywood Palladium with my best friends from school. It was the greatest show and the best night I will never forget how happy Stuart looked at the reception they were getting in Los Angeles. I love Steeltown to this day.

Knebworth think it was 85 or 86 Queen , Status Quo and Big Country I went to watch Queen and ended up falling in love with Big Country Stuart was amazing God Bless his soul.
Played on two Pete Townshend albums. Including the singles, "Let My Love Open the Door and Rough Boys". The Pretenders - "My City Was Gone" and "Back on the Chain Gang" I agree. Fucking amazing, what a talent...
Never got to see them myself, went to see them at Stirling Castle on hogmanay 1999/2000 and very late on got told they wouldn't be coming on as Stuart didn't show up. Heard he was in New York hitting the drink, dunno if that's true though. Would loved to have seen him

Big Country - A mais gentil de todas as bandas. Eu gostaria de ter conhecido Stuart Adamson! Big Country - The kindest of all bands. I wish I had met Stuart Adamson!
Greatest thing about this video is not one cell phone. Everyone just enjoying the music and being present! 80s rocked!
Today's young can't even THINK without their phones telling them what to do ....
Omg yes thank you
you probably couldn't think without TV's or radios telling you what to do, grow up and accept that things change but stay exactly the same
Totally agree, David - people are just having a blast, dancing & listening! As it should be!
Killed Stiart.
I was 17 then and as usual I took them for granted. I'm 53 now and am loving all that Stuart did for us. I have never been more grateful for Big Country in my life. Stuart... you are in all our hearts.

20 years later and never forgotten by all his fans around the world !!!!
This band was one of the reasons that the 80s was the best decade ever.
And the Macc lads
Tony is a superb bassist.

Who else thinks Stuart Adamson is the coolest?! His songs comes close to the HEART!
Had a lot of demons
Your name will never die, Stuart Adamson
In 1987 I bought a ticket to see David Bowie on his Glass Spider tour just because Big Country were the support! Turns out Bowie wasn't bad either :)
Slane Castle in Ireland that year?
These guys were oozing with talent.
These guys should have been colossal. One of the top bands, if not the top band, of that era.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a TRAGIC story in my life!! I’m so sorry for this awesome sweetie pie!! WoW, it breaks my heart to see some one cut down in their young life!! RIP Stuart Adamson!! ♥️😢♥️😢♥️

Thank you , it was awesome.
Marks subtle synchopation and ghost notes and Tony’s thumping baselines were the perfect blend of base and drummer locking in!
