I'm glad I decided to buy my Xbox Series X last holiday season at the $350 sale price. Sony must have lost their minds. I think this will be my last console generation. I have more games than I could ever play and rarely feel like playing games anymore.

I haven't played my Series X in 3 years. I recently went back and played Ori 2 but that was all I've played in 3 years. Cyberpunk 2077 was the last release I played on it.
Since the beginning of the Nexgen Consul, I have fallen in love with the Xbox Series X, because the cube design is like a mini Consul, and the graphics are 4K and 120👏☺️

As someone who went from a whole xbox one/one x generation into the series x and having invested a decent amount of money on digital and hard copies of games over the years, as well as a ps5 now. I prefer the ps5. The series s/x controllers are downgrades imo. My one x controller was much better, but hands down the ps5 controller gets what the xbox controllers have gotten right for years and then throws in the kitchen sink. No debate the dualsense trumps the series controller 100%

it depends on the type of game you play, if you want to improve even more, I would recommend the xbox series x because it already has a big solid foundation in terms of performance and power, it is a little more powerful than the ps5, otherwise its biggest strong point is its processing architecture (xbox velocity architecture), it is so optimized on games on all types in general when it feels like it has the same power as the ps5 pro. Otherwise it has retro compatibility unlike at playstation, where you can play all the games up to the original xbox so synchronization with your xbox one will be very easy. This is why Microsoft will not release an xbox series pro version because it knows that the xbox series x will fade over time.

Lets compare the the ps5 pro without knowing the ps5 pro specs to the original Xbox. The PS5 pro is the more powerful machine 😮😮😮! Astonishing. So with studios that "choose" enhancement of there titles We can go from 1440 60 fps to 2160 60 fps. With limited enhanced titles. The leaps and bounds their accomplishing with 720p is to much for me to handle right now!
Man is the PS5 ugly. PlayStation Now is cheeks. The fact that if you use an external HDD for PS4 games you can’t put the console in sleep mode because it corrupts the OS. The PS5 has to have a stand with a screw to stand upright. The console sometimes doesn’t want to turn on. Will literally just stay in sleep mode and then corrupt itself and the HDMI port is about as brittle as an egg shell. Selling a disc drive separately is criminal. Sony fanboys getting slapped in the face. Sold my PS5 and will never go back. Especially not for a $700 price tag. I’ll stick to my Xbox Series X and PC. The only thing the PS5 did right was the adaptive triggers.

Well, I'm gonna tell you one I have both consoles and uh, i have smooth gameplay on the series Xi don't know about you or what i have smooth gameplay and my graphics, i don't know why, but i compared compared it from the Xbox Series X2. They PlayStation 5 on the same TV so I didn't like just do a side to side compared. No I just took a picture on the PlayStation. I took a picture on my Xbox. And just edit the photo together, so I didn't have different specs for my different screams. The Xbox looked much better, even with the AI offscaling and the rate tracing the ray tracing on Xbox looks clean. I'll wait or the retracing on the ps. 5 looks washed out the lighting, and the shadows they all look washed out. And yes, of course, you would think if you're not that guy that has a serious you'd think, oh, just because the AI upscaling is so funny advance and so great, you would think it looked better, but no, I'm a graphics kind of guy, I love, I don't care. About the charts of what geek, pinch, or whatever people say, cuz to me. I can tell every detail of a graphic by looking at it. I can look at every little pixel on the screen to me. Every game look pixely, but I can tell that it's higher quality. I don't know why maybe my eyes evolved over time, like people say we evolved from a maybe I evolved from my genetics. We're all computer engineers in my family. We all have that genetics, we all know the INS and outs, and well maybe my eyes evolved, because people look at computer people fix the graphics and I don't know, I just know that I can tell you the difference, you maybe can't tell the difference. But I can tell the difference. It is a slight difference, but Xbox is on top, just slightly. The lighting, I would say, knowing, yes, it depends on what area of lighting you're in, if it's in a darker environment. Yes, on PlayStation, if it's in a high lighting environment, it kind of looks a little washed out in my purpose. Opinion, and I'm nervous plus I Played the same games like Call of Duty and Fortnite, comparing them. So it's not just Fortnite lighting the fortnite's cartoony, so it probably looks different. Let's also call of duty that have rulistic lighting and graphics

That adapter was for wifi I’m pretty sure. It could still be connected via Ethernet. I get what you’re saying but at the time it wasn’t a common thing. Even many PC’s required an adapter for wireless internet. Either company loses money on console sales so they need to try and make it up elsewhere. Like ps5 pro and its disc drive accessory.
If It was earlier than 2023 , I could buy ps5 pro but US economy sucks right now. I am happy with my Xbox series x , I bought it for 320 dollars. It is used and It came to me with box and 2 controllers. Gaming is expensive hobby right now. This will be my last console. I am done with prices. I have to be able to eat before I sit on console 🤣 anyway I stuck with 2 jobs and busy life. I don’t have time for anything and playing a game is not even a last thing I would like to do.

No one is mentioning that Series X/S has an awful intentionally design flaw; if and when the SSD someday dies, the console will be bricked. Has to do with an encryption key stored that is linked to the console. Good luck when the warranty expires. There're countless repair videos on this and there's nothing they can do. Another thing is the rumors that M$ will phase out gaming consoles in the near future.
I'm glad I picked my xbox series x . Plus game pass makes it nice to not spend 60 bucks a game. When it comes down to it. It's all about software optimization. No matter what console. I loved Playstation 1 and 2. But once I got the original xbox and the 360 I stayed with xbox for my flavor of gaming ever since

Since then, I always knew I was going for the Xbox because that's where you play Halo. Havent been Team Playstation since the PS2. With all the news of late, basically that Microsoft is moving away from Xbox as a hardware and focusing on software and games, even going as far as putting Halo on Playstation, I figured why not. There's been PS Exclusive games I've been wanting to play for years. Not to mention Halo isnt as strong as it used to be and I hardly play it now, so I dont have that instant connection towards the Xbox anymore. Get an Xbox my ps5 after 4 years is already shutting down for no damn reason what so ever. I clean it, it dosent get hot but shuts off whenever and corrupts my data every time. My Xbox one after 10 yrs is still running smooth as can be. My ps5 however idk man its noises get louder and shuts downs randomly and the thing doesn’t even get hot. I even checked if theirs a setting that is causing it to happen and no. So really disappointed especially since ps5 was my first PlayStation.Never getting a PlayStation again. Xbox is the way to go, better hardware, yeah crappy marketing but hey they can play majority of the same games unless you care for ps5 exclusives games which i honestly dont. Our controllers are also meant to be more comfortable than Playstations and are far lighter because we have less components like gyro aiming which who uses that? adaptive triggers which everyone finds annoying, same with haptic feedback, oh yeah and also the microphones in your controllers that have horrible sound quality and no one knows why Sony keeps putting those pieces of shit in their controllers. They've been doing that since the PlayStation 4 with the Dual shock LMAO. and by the way all those features that I just listed really take a toll on the battery life of your controller therefor you don't get to play with it as long wirelessly so I hope youve been enjoying your horrible controller battery life. Do your homework. The series x cpu runs at 3.6 ghz with smt enabled. That's the mode most modern games use. It's only 3.8 without smt. The ps5 pro cpu runs at 3.85 ghz with SMT but a 2 percent gpu downclock which would still put the gpu at a way higher frequency than the 1.825 Series X gpu. The ps5 pro is superior to the Series X in every way

I just googled the price for a ps5pro here in Australia. $1199 + $225 for a disc drive + $49 for the stand! $1473 to have the latest play station that barely out performs an xbox ($729) and has 13 games compared to over 400 for the xbox! Sony are playing with themselves !

Man is the PS5 ugly. PlayStation Now is cheeks. The fact that if you use an external HDD for PS4 games you can’t put the console in sleep mode because it corrupts the OS. The PS5 has to have a stand with a screw to stand upright. The console sometimes doesn’t want to turn on. Will literally just stay in sleep mode and then corrupt itself and the HDMI port is about as brittle as an egg shell. Selling a disc drive separately is criminal. Sony fanboys getting slapped in the face. Sold my PS5 and will never go back. Especially not for a $700 price tag. I’ll stick to my Xbox Series X and PC. The only thing the PS5 did right was the adaptive triggers.

Well, I'm gonna tell you one I have both consoles and uh, i have smooth gameplay on the series Xi don't know about you or what i have smooth gameplay and my graphics, i don't know why, but i compared compared it from the Xbox Series X2. They PlayStation 5 on the same TV so I didn't like just do a side to side compared. No I just took a picture on the PlayStation. I took a picture on my Xbox. And just edit the photo together, so I didn't have different specs for my different screams. The Xbox looked much better, even with the AI offscaling and the rate tracing the ray tracing on Xbox looks clean. I'll wait or the retracing on the ps. 5 looks washed out the lighting, and the shadows they all look washed out. And yes, of course, you would think if you're not that guy that has a serious you'd think, oh, just because the AI upscaling is so funny advance and so great, you would think it looked better, but no, I'm a graphics kind of guy, I love, I don't care. About the charts of what geek, pinch, or whatever people say, cuz to me. I can tell every detail of a graphic by looking at it. I can look at every little pixel on the screen to me. Every game look pixely, but I can tell that it's higher quality. I don't know why maybe my eyes evolved over time, like people say we evolved from a maybe I evolved from my genetics. We're all computer engineers in my family. We all have that genetics, we all know the INS and outs, and well maybe my eyes evolved, because people look at computer people fix the graphics and I don't know, I just know that I can tell you the difference, you maybe can't tell the difference. That adapter was for wifi I’m pretty sure. It could still be connected via Ethernet. I get what you’re saying but at the time it wasn’t a common thing. Even many PC’s required an adapter for wireless internet.

It is used and It came to me with box and 2 controllers. Gaming is expensive hobby right now. This will be my last console. I am done with prices. I have to be able to eat before I sit on console 🤣 anyway I stuck with 2 jobs and busy life. I don’t have time for anything and playing a game is not even a last thing I would like to do.

The only reason to choose either console should be about the exclusives of either. I love ps5 exclusives which for me is the real selling point (gow, returnal, ronin, ff). If I was a fan of fable, or gears of war or forza then I would go Xbox.

No one is mentioning that Series X/S has an awful intentionally design flaw; if and when the SSD someday dies, the console will be bricked. Has to do with an encryption key stored that is linked to the console. Good luck when the warranty expires. There're countless repair videos on this and there's nothing they can do. Another thing is the rumors that M$ will phase out gaming consoles in the near future.
I'm glad I picked my xbox series x . Plus game pass makes it nice to not spend 60 bucks a game. When it comes down to it. It's all about software optimization. No matter what console. I loved Playstation 1 and 2. But once I got the original xbox and the 360 I stayed with xbox for my flavor of gaming ever since

Respectfully, tell me why I should stay where I'm at. Quick backround: been an Xbox guy since the original Xbox when I fell in love with Halo and never looked back. Since then, I always knew I was going for the Xbox because that's where you play Halo. Havent been Team Playstation since the PS2. With all the news of late, basically that Microsoft is moving away from Xbox as a hardware and focusing on software and games, even going as far as putting Halo on Playstation, I figured why not. There's been PS Exclusive games I've been wanting to play for years. Not to mention Halo isnt as strong as it used to be and I hardly play it now, so I dont have that instant connection towards the Xbox anymore. Halo hasnt been great or must-play for at least 10 years now.

Get an Xbox my ps5 after 4 years is already shutting down for no damn reason what so ever. I clean it, it dosent get hot but shuts off whenever and corrupts my data every time. My Xbox one after 10 yrs is still running smooth as can be. My ps5 however idk man its noises get louder and shuts downs randomly and the thing doesn’t even get hot. I even checked if theirs a setting that is causing it to happen and no. So really disappointed especially since ps5 was my first PlayStation.Never getting a PlayStation again. Xbox is the way to go, better hardware, yeah crappy marketing but hey they can play majority of the same games unless you care for ps5 exclusives games which i honestly dont. Do your homework. The series x cpu runs at 3.6 ghz with smt enabled. That's the mode most modern games use. It's only 3.8 without smt. The ps5 pro cpu runs at 3.85 ghz with SMT but a 2 percent gpu downclock which would still put the gpu at a way higher frequency than the 1.825 Series X gpu. The ps5 pro is superior to the Series X in every way
But look what Playstation had to build to be superior, and the specs aren't even that impressive that's why I'm keeping my original PS5
