I cross my angles, but never my knees. I find it awkward to do the latter. The latter is thought to interfere with blood circulation. That is what I was told decades.

Stand-offish, defensive. Not confident, self assured and centred. The term submissive is not used here as an opposite to dominant. Neither of those are centred.

@@peitajean 🤔.. but she says "like this & not like that" thing, kinda implying opposites, as-in promoting one by preventing the other, in order to express a certain way that the other would neglect by nature of not being in said way.

basically it boils down to this: if you want to get a man, you need to look submissive and men loveeee submissive women . If you want to be a feminist, get yourself a high end posture, wide upper back etc

@Ana Chantal Exactly! That's probably why so many women attract a faux protective man who end up being narcissistic and using them. Look at all the women with womderful men. They don't have bad or "submissive" posture at all. Rihanna, JJ, etc.

It’s another phrase that feminists use to denigrate men. They posit that men are rude and self-centered and controlling if the spread out and take up “too much” space.
Men, don’t give credence to these feminist code words. Be a man PROUDLY.

It's a term that angry feminists came up with for men who like to sit comfortably. The woman is this video is lovely, no offense to her at all. It's just a silly term that caught on. Men have every right to sit relaxed, as do women.

It depends on how tight your chest muscles are. If you have been closing off your chest for years, you will need to do some stretches and exercises to strengthen your upper back and stretch your your chest. Plus, a lot of women find the process of learning to take up more space very uncomfortable. If you’ve been hiding your chest for a long time it might feel like you’re showing off if you have healthy, neutral posture Plus, a lot of women find the process of learning to take up more space very uncomfortable. Whereas I agree that body language is a good indicator of how you're feeling, this stuff shouldn't be trained and should be instead used to be made aware of how others, and yourself look, so you can gauge how you, and how they're feeling. Your body language should always be congruent to how you're feeling inside, so you can't force yourself to look confident when you don't really feel that way. Otherwise you'll be a robot - And you'll be stuck in your head forever with how you look, without letting stuff flow naturally. This induces stress like states, which generates more stuff like cortisol which causes inflammation to the body.
Instead on work on your internal confidence by finding your trigger points from the past and what makes you feel the way you do. Your body language will then display a more confident, and assured on the outer naturally. Anyone can do this. Also remember one way of body language is not an all encompassing thing. What will mean one thing, will mean completely a different thing to others.
I like to change up my body language on a regular basis because I enjoy it, and I find it keeps people on their toes (entertained somewhat), and makes people feel certain states (mostly good depending on their own level of self awareness, and if they can handle me being the way I am - believe me, it wasn't always this way).
I can do this because I am super aware of what is going on in the conversation, and surroundings, and most importantly how I am feeling. It is all genuine, and congruent to how I am feeling though, and this is the important thing overall out of anything. Anyone can get there - its about working from your basis/ core upwards.

As a Christian, I don't see "submission" as some degrading thing to be avoided --- it depends on who / what one is submitting to. Christ Himself submitted to His Father, even to the point of death on the cross. We all need to submit to God's order, and to what is right; while at the same time not submit to evil, pride, selfishness, etc. I would like my posture to convey self-respect and being comfortable in my own skin, but not pride. Having said that, I am really getting a lot out of your posture videos so far and plan to watch more of them --- thank you so much for sharing these tips! I am definitely going to try these out, and hopefully get my husband to try them too.

Once, my college teacher told the class, that politics was in everything in life. Even in How se occupate spaces. So If we sit on a bus, specially, us woman, and some Man takes ALL the leg space, Just moving our legs back to the centre, giving a little push If needed, It ia a political decision, to occupy pra own space, instead of giving It up. Because If don't stand for ourselfs in tinta things like that, than never the less about major stuff.
