In this episode I had the opportunity to stay overnight in an authentic Navajo Hogan on the reservation in Monument Valley. It was nice to get out of the car for a night while I make my way northwest on America's longest road trip. This was truly an incredible experience as I got to dive a bit into the Navajo culture/history, cook up some Navajo fry bread, and Navajo tacos. There is no place quite like the American Southwest. See ya in the next one!

This has been a very interesting video! Between what you read and what the host told you just added so much more. My Uncle was a Doctor and when he retired he joined a group called Doctors Without Borders. He spent a lot of time in the southwest and learned their culture. I have various pieces of pottery, some small figures made of wood, 2 sand paintings and 2 woven blankets. The blankets are so densely woven that they are impervious to the heaviest of rains, I have not tried them nor do I intend to. Everything he gave me is very beautiful! I am finding your travels and experiences very interesting, thank you for making the videos, as always, I look forward to the next one! Safe travels!

Born and raised in Florida and recently moved to TN. Must agree with you that the southwest definitely holds a spell over me and always want to go back for more. Have the best time ❤

There's def no place like living in the Southwest. You should stop and stay a while. Might make it tough to finish the rest of your road trip though. This one was really cool. Didn't know there was an option to stay on the res like that. Great find!!

When putting anything in the hot oil you always place the bottom of whats going in, closest to you in the pan amd slowly lower it down into the pan away from you.. this will prevent splashing back on you and burning.
