Can guarantee you this is not your CVT. And you keep saying Subaru has transmission issues at these miles is false. #1 have you ever had your transmission serviced whisked should be every 60k? Some were faulty but Subaru made the correction and they have been very reliable as long as you do normal maintenance. I am now on my 3rd Outback and both before well over 200k all original equipment no issue have 21 now with over 100k no issues. I make sure to due all recommended maintenance. I hope your outback is ok and yes Subaru of America will cover if it is a faulty transmission which I don’t think it is. Best Bro fyi also in SoCal. Do not go to Subaru Pacific they well scam you on cost.

Maybe the exhaust or the catalytic converter is clogged. That can create back pressure and that can explain the transmission problems. It makes more difficult to change gears.

You can take your car to any auto parts store and they will hook up to the computer and read the codes for you.

Yep unfortunately when Subaru started using CVT transmissions, reliability became an issue as quite a few of those transmissions were failing.

I'm so sorry about your car. Maybe if you show Subaru your videos and how the videos are as much about the car as it is you, they may cover the transmission under warranty as a favor in return for the positive free publicity on the car. Just a thought. I nearly bought a Subaru Outback but went for a 4Runner instead.
