In this episode I took my subaru outback on a little off road adventure. The trail was 24 miles down a dirt road and into a rock field to end up on the cliffs edge overlooking Lake Powell. Even though my car is stock and isn't the most capable off road vehicle, it got me to my destination. This was easily one of the best campsites I've ever stayed at. I had a Subaru Outback when I lived in Alaska… and I tell you, God drives a Subaru! We went ALL over the place and it was a beast.

I am really amazed that your Subaru made it up and down so well! You have more clearance than my GMC Canyon 4x4 does. The site was phenomenal, the view was priceless! Welcome to monsoon. It started right on time this year and there's been a lot of crazy cloud cover making for some pretty amazing skies. There's some footage right there you should send to Subaru so they can use it in their adventure commercials. That looked like a pretty incredible adventure out there. Glad you made it with only a small front biff. A heat gun will apparently pop that back out of the plastic. Or, better yet, keep as a badge of honor as part of your cross country adventure.

Awesome video as always two things if you hurry up and get a drift(punch or long piece of a dowl rod) and a hammer you can punch out that Dent from behind pretty easy. But if you wait until the sun heats it up a lot it's a lot harder.
2 they have big screens for the back on Amazon for less than $ 30. Very helpful ..

Just always be careful and not too trusting on people you meet in the road and chose a more safer place to stay overnight and pray.

Do you have any kind of satellite tracking device with you? Hypothetically…what if your car died out in the middle of the desert…albeit a stunning desert! There can’t possibly be cell service out there, right?
Not much but small parts of the desert have cell service it all depends on the carrier and in those very small areas that do have cell service it is usually not the best.
a Garmin inReach or something similar is always a must when traveling deep into nature by yourself.
