    For cars that cut throttle when you try and left-foot brake, if you reach up and disconnect the brake light switch connector near the top of the pedal that will usually prevent the ECU from taking your throttle away when you left foot brake. 350Z guys have to do that to stop their cars doing the same thing.

      Idk how normal sprinter vans work, but in the ones we use for FedEx, as soon as any slippage is detected, traction control kicks in and cuts the power big time. It's a delivery driver's biggest enemy in muddy/snowy conditions and causes us to get stuck in situations that no other vehicle would get stuck in

      I watched that F450 video and although it is a beast, it looked cool, Wyatt said it was fun, it looked fun. The sequoia just looks unstable everywhere and looked scary from the inside camera and probably worse watching from the outside. It constantly looked like it wanted to catch a small rut and do 17 barrel rolls through the trees LOL.

    • @carholic-sz3qv
      @carholic-sz3qv 7 місяців тому

      @@botcrack its all about suspensions, also the ford f450 is a significantly much wider vehicle with dually which adds stability.

    • @yayinternets
      @yayinternets 7 місяців тому

      The f450 is also designed to tow a billion lbs and probably has super stiff leafs that don't flex. Like driving one unloaded would be awful, but it being way oversprung when not loaded definitely helped it be way more stable than this boat.

  • @derekisthematrix
    @derekisthematrix 7 місяців тому +29

    Back in 2012, I believe the Limiteds had an air suspension in the rear that likely was shot, exacerbating the "wallow" you're feeling. Converting to regular springs is a common mod for these. I run LT E-rated tires on ours (SR5 so no air suspension) and it's a pretty firm ride.

    • @Bob-ir4lr
      @Bob-ir4lr 7 місяців тому +4

      Limited was option. Platinum was all air

    • @mediocreman2
      @mediocreman2 7 місяців тому +4

      If it was on air, it's obviously not shot. You can tell by the ride height. When air is shot, you will know just by looking at it. There is no in between with air. If it's inflated, it's working.

    • @derekisthematrix
      @derekisthematrix 7 місяців тому +1

      @@mediocreman2 I've never driven one with the air suspension as ours has regular springs. Do you think that they would handle and feel that much different or is Wyatt just used to his WRX? 😁

    I have a 2011 Platinum. I seriously love this thing. Capable enough offroad for my needs with a basic tire/suspension upgrade plus almost 0 maintenance at 215K. I got it airborne in Moab. It was awesome to launch a 6k pound vehicle. I broke a few things inside when I did, but that was because my tools bounced and broke some pieces of plastic. The vehicle was fine!!!

    • @slandshark
      @slandshark 7 місяців тому +4

      We've built out our Subaru Ascent for offroad/overlanding, but I considered upgrading to a 2018 or 2020 Sequoia recently. Can't convince my Wife though, she likes driving the Ascent too much...but I like the idea of the extra space for our family of 6 in the Sequoia for overlanding (plus all the extra power and automatic transmission vs the CVT in the subaru).
      We've done skid plates, rear diff locker, 2" lift, wheels/tires, winch, recovery points, rock sliders, and roof rack on our Subaru Ascent. Recently broke 2 rear axles and it gets easily bogged down in snow because the engine won't put the power to the wheels, it protects the CVT too much (it has more than enough power, just can't use it).
