Asmo, you are a damn champion! It's obvious that you work very hard on pushing out USEFUL content so consistently. The level of detail, which can only be derived from personal experience is really what sets it all apart. Thanks for doing what you do man!
For 93-97, in 6.2 they added Elixir of the Rapid Mind (buyable from AH), which gives 300% xp for 15 mins (works until level 99). Do every bonus objective in Gorgrond, but leave 1 mob until the quest is completed. Also, get 25 (or as many as possible) quests completed and ready to hand in. Use the potion and go kill the last mob of each bonus objective, and hand in all the quests. Do it fast enough and you'll go from 93-97 in 15 mins.
"You have to kill professor lunk. I don't know why, I guess we're Planet Fitness" omg my sides are killing me after that. Probably one of the only few video guides that are an hour long that I can watch. Very informative and entertaining. +1
Hey man, thanks for the good work. Eased leveling up my first char a lot, I pretty much started leveling the day you uploaded this guide. Keep it up! :)
i just dinged 100 using your guide after like 15 hours (without heirloom and im just slow). Thanks for putting all your time in it and actually making it worthwhile being funny and shit while explaining pretty much every detail. Great work!
Great guide! I have a butt ton of alts that I need to level, and this definitely will help make things easier. Also, the quest with the little draenei kid and the bucket? You're putting out fires around a sprite darter hatchling pet that's trapped by them, and afterward the little guy shows up in your garrison. If you click on it it follows you around for a bit. Neat little thingie for those who like it. :)
this has to be one of the best, if not the best, guide videos ive seen. after watching this i feel like i wanna level another character to 100 just cuz itd be so goddamn quick lol thank you for this video asmond!
Awesome guide, love it. Super useful. As an addition to those not leveling with full looms and exp pot it's still profitable to pick up basically any treasure you can find on the map that doesn't require you to do something super elaborate just to get you a little bit more experience.
Loved the video, and the reason you don't get an item from the big "Elites" in Gorgrond is because you have to choose your outpost (lumber mill or pvp arena thingy) in order to loot them. Hope this helps / you see it!
The treasure you said you couldn't find in Shadowmoon Valley is actually on top of one of those large rock pillars. Keep'em coming! Keep gaming! Always be yourself and always have fun. Thanks for the videos and overall content!
Great guide, love your channel! An easy bit of XP in Admiral Taylor's garrison. After you kill the dude in the basement, talk to the innkeeper and buy the princess treats, talk to the little ghost dog there, use the treat, follow her, use the treat, follow her, use the treat and she will take you to a burried stregth neck piece plus a nice bunch of XP. Also, after you kill Admiral Taylor's ghost, that key you picked up goes to a chest in Taylor's garrison HQ building, the grimoire doesnt require the key, the chest has garrison resources and XP. with looms and xp boosts that's around 50k xp for those two items.
Great guide man! id love to see you do each individual area make it into a little series but one of the few power leveling guides i actually can watch and stay interested in!
One of my m8's saw this video on facebook. I asked him to send me the link, because i was curious to see how other people leveled up. Now i watched your video and i have to admit i do it like 90% the same way, the only reason i do Q's is to get the followers or open up areas that are closed off till you actually complete surtain parts of the q chains, the rest is just treasure pickups, rare kills (garrison ressources) and the bonus objectives. I'm always fully heirloomed, with Hellscream weapons, you can buy a 630 weapon really cheap which would help you tons, but i choose to save the gold for wow tokens :) The 10% where i really differ from the way you do it, is i sign up for random dungeons. 2 reasons for that. 1: The reward from dungeons are almost 1/5 of a level - if i was tank or healer, i would do dungeons only. 2: The gear you will get in there will help to get you ready for HC BTW, i think your cool, awesome work on making this video, and thanks for doing it. [thumbsup]
I've used this whole video to level from 90-100 and it was perfect. I didn't find any faults or missing material through the whole experience. Thanks a lot Asmongold
thanks for the guide dude. been following this as much as i can (im horde this time around) and its been really helpful. thanks for putting in the time and effort to help us cut some corners and stay efficient
dude you did a fantastic job on this. I was playing and listening and this is just great. I hope to see more videos. "oh yea everyone is dead ya ya ya..." ha.
I prefer to pick the tank instead of the mount in Nagrand. You can loot with it. You kill super easy all the outside mobs like the birds and elephants and etc... + You can do all the ring quests for less then 2 mins with the tank. Anyway, awesome guide. Thanks for doing this, subscribed :).
Hey, Asmon, there's a reason Biolante did not give you his item. You must settle your outpost with Vindicator Maraad there BEFORE you kill Biolante. That is because it is there at Maraad you must turn them in. So if you want Biolante's experience, settle the outpost in Gorgrond with Maraad next to the building of choice, and then go BACK to kill Biolante. Most of the other elites are after your camp set up except Biolante. I don't know if you've been told this or whatever, but I thought it was worth sharing since it is a chunk of xp.
Just followed this guide from 90 to 100 on my warrior without heirloom gear and just exp pots. Following the video, and doing all of the bonus stuff he says for catchup mechanics, the only time i was "stuck" was at level 95, where i went to Talador. That was quite inefficient, but after getting 'back on the track' in spires and doing the Veil questchain, i could follow the guide until 99.5 where i did some more objectives around Nagrand and dinged. If you ever think about revisiting this guide or doing a followup, it would be cool to have a list of catchup mechanics at the end of every zone, so you can reach the required level for the next zone.
I HIGHLY reccomend not using the Heirloom weapons if possible. Get a 91 BoE and this grind actually gets SO much faster. Infact, 3 pieces of BoE gear that don't mess with your XP gain gear = pretty overpowered untill 100 heroic gear. [Assuming you didn't upgrade them to just obliterate anything in your way.] As long as you've got the money, it's worth it. Leveling a boomkin became that much more fun when I started melting everything with starfall thanks to the stat bonuses :)
The reason you don't get the quest tokens from the elites in Gorgrond, is because you haven't buildt the zone base. If you don't build the base, there would be no NPC to turn the quest in to, so I guess that's why Blizz made it that way.
whats up, I've been watching a lot of your Draenor content videos and they've been so helpful. I'd actually really love a Talador vid if you have time or whatever. thanks a lot!
Asmongold the bonus objective in Spires that's super challenging, there's a quest line that you become the spirit of some bird guy that's really strong. He goes to that zone to take it back, that's how you're intended to do that bonus objective.
Hello Asmongold :D I really enjoy your videos, i've been wanting to come back to wow recently due to your videos but i just wanted to write this comment to say thank you for your hard work on this guide, it is really informative and entertaining :) also greetings fellow Kel'thuzad alliance member :D
currently 99 1/2 i did it all w out heirlooms and gathered more treasures than you just to catch up. pretty nice guide thanks, oh and i'm horde but after frostfire everything else is really similar.
39:29 Keep the pick. It gives you a speed buff to mining, and does not have to be equiped. Add just one Preserved Mining Pick buff with this in your bags, and you will get basically instant mining in your garrison mine. Well worth keeping it around.
Good video Asmon, but you should look into the addon called 'Autoturnin'. You can set it to auto-complete daily and reg quests, with adjustable parameters to handle quest rewards. Saves a lot of time when level grinding.
You are really entertaining even tho it's sometimes a bit difficult to get what you're saying cos english isn't my first language and you speak so fast. But really awesome job, thanks a lot *thumbs up*
not sure if it is mentioned in the video but keep hold of ''Peon's mining pick'' the pick after coming from sothport. The mining buff also works inside your garrison.
Fun Fact: You don't have to walk the water buckets over to the fires at 10:55, you can stand next to the buckets and hit the fires from there :) Makes it a little more bearable.
Great guides! I haven't found anything faster than your guides up to lvl 90. Lvl 90-100 is another question though, i've found one that took under 2 hours to do
At about 11:00, I just want to mention that for whatever its worth, you can throw the buckets from where you looted them, so you don't actually have to run all way back over to the fire three times. Loot, toss, loot, toss, loot, toss, done.
The treasure at 16:30 that you say you cant never find is on top of the pillars, jump to the lower pillar close to the ramp going to the pale rare in the northeast part of the place.
I don't know how this happened, but I started leveling at 9pm 90lvl (and a half maybe) and finished at 100lvl at 2am. 5hrs, but this included 2 meal breaks, pee breaks etc, so it was probably like 4hrs of gameplay. Amazing, skipped Spires of Arak, instead stayed a bit longer in Gorgrond. For a moment it seemed like Blizzard nerfed Draenor lol. Thanks for the guide, I'll use it in the future again that's for sure. Cheers.
Invictum PvP Yeah dude, it's an old expac now. They made it faster to level through as the new content will take the longest. When he made this video, draenor was the new content.
Asmongold great work on the video man! I'm really curious how you make your videos like the face cam commentary on live videos and what programs you use. Let me know!!!!!!!!
You don't get the quest item from biolante until you complete the intro quest line in gorgrond and make your outpost. Just an FYI if anyone wasn't aware.
People probably know this by now since this video is old but the bosses in gorgrond don't drop the quest items because you need to choose the lumber mill from the base first. If you pick the champions arena or whatever it is you won't be able to get them at all instead you get some other content that's really bad for leveling.
It's Dragonflight. I'm never going to level another character in retail let alone in old Draenor. But here I am enjoying another one from the archives.
I didn't look through all the comments to see if anyone already told you this, but Biolante and the other quest elites won't drop the quest item until you established either your outpost further down the road.
we put out the fire to save the little dragon thing i believe. and you can sit at the corner and throw the buckets from where you pick them up. its really easy to line up.
If you have one level of rested experience you will need only about 5 or 6 garrison exp potions. The quests will give you a huge boost in experience per minute with both stacking and you'll zipzap straight to 100 by doing easy quests. Leveling guides kind of become a moot point, I'd say they're more a distraction than a help at that point. This is a tactic I'd recommend for alts as you can have them just sitting around gathering auto-generated resources and rested exp, after you're done with the pre-garrison quests of course.
If you're watching this in 6.2 know that the first raven spot he farms in Shadowmoon still hasn't been nerfed. It looks like the xp was buffed, actually. I'm getting 1492 up from his 990.
gorgrond is the best place to quest in many special objects and alot of xp each quest up to 96 (bether then nagrand/talador) My last uplevling i also used aelixir of rapid mind clicked on that at same sec i saw i had almost done the first bonus objekt (you did from start in gorgrond) i had also completed the 3 first quests so i had 300k in the bonus area + 88k each quest :D i also complete 2 or 3 more bonus object before that bufs runs out :D take me a few hours to reach 90-100 thanks for your guys anyway :D
Good guide, however the treasures now reward 15k xp not 30k. Yes that's with full looms and 20% pot. Got nerfed ofc, this kind of changes stuff around, might want to pick some quests along the way. Just be sure to complete every bonus objective.
Very good video man it helped me aloot , it s very fast and u dont spend that much resources doing that . Keep going man u are very op , thank ya very much.
The Biolante part in Gorgrond: you need to have the garrison outpost first. Its part of an achivement I guess you know that, but you turn in the Q you get from the item dropped by him at Highpass.
Guy kills 77 people.
Hmm let me honor him by naming a char after him...

gorgrond is the best place to quest in many special objects and alot of xp each quest up to 96 (bether then nagrand/talador) My last uplevling i also used aelixir of rapid mind clicked on that at same sec i saw i had almost done the first bonus objekt (you did from start in gorgrond) i had also completed the 3 first quests so i had 300k in the bonus area + 88k each quest :D i also complete 2 or 3 more bonus object before that bufs runs out :D take me a few hours to reach 90-100
thanks for your guys anyway :D
Great vid. Great sense of humor as well
Love your video's man. Starting to do some of my own now.
Best leveling guide ever! Ty
Asmongold, I really appreciate the time you take in making your videos. Even though I'm Horde, this video will certainly help my alts level quicker.
Good guide, however the treasures now reward 15k xp not 30k. Yes that's with full looms and 20% pot. Got nerfed ofc, this kind of changes stuff around, might want to pick some quests along the way. Just be sure to complete every bonus objective.
I love your dry humor :)
