!!UPDATE!! Blizzard has released a hotfix which adjusted how mobs that are linked share aggro. The problem is sometimes the fight will go exactly how it is shown in my video and other times the second you hit Cho or gordok both will run back at the same time. Seems to be pure rng at this point. In this situation you will need to get crafty and juggle the mobs the same way just pay more attention if one gets split up from the other. Try and keep both together and reset both at the same time.

@@rdhao so my last 20 runs have not been linked. I do exactly what I did in the video. I don't normally let the pet hit the Mobs I just send it in and once it aggros I pull back to stay position. Has been working well for me

The only difference i see is that you jump down before ur pet pulls and i tend to try to get 1 hit in on cho with the pet. ill try those two variables out in runs somewhere these days too i guess. It wouldnt be so bad if they were linked if the king didnt agroswap from the vipersting too honestly. thats just a pain on a 0 threat ability. cho doesnt even notice it, but the king does.... If its pure RNG then my luck is just bad i suppose =p
These guides are very nice, thanks! A couple notes if you start to do these and want to spare yourself from some real frustration: - PRO TIP: don't use 5pc T1 or T2! First I thought I must've been a trash hunter, and it may be the case, but after a while, the mobs randomly aggroing off my pet on me, and Gordok aggroing me as soon as I hit Cho, was making me suspicious. Basically, those set bonuses somehow screw up the threat table. Break the 5pc set bonus. - If you wipe, you better of resetting. The reason is, there are two packs and a single ogre patroling the courtyards, as well as Fengus. If you proceed through seamlessly, they shouldn't cause any problems, but if you need to rezz, their pathing can mess up by the time to run for it again and could make you wipe again. - Follow the *exact* paths in the videos(s) both for you and for your pet. Slipping away one yard could mean not aggroing a mob in the pack (thus aggroing you), aggroing another pack, and a wipe. - Don't use trueshot while moving through. Sometimes even though I do the regular pet pull, only one mob gets aggroed and the rest attacks me. I suspect it could be the aura reapplication on the pet (might be wrong here). - Care for the sprouts at the bug place. - On boss fight, it's important to have your pet land at least 1 special (and 1 normal) attack before you send her to her spot. Without it, I've seen them randomly aggro over me. Also, only attack them on the ledge where your pet is. There is weird aggroplay in place, and on my first try, I've made the mistake to land a Multi-shot on Gordok on my ledge, which after I couldn't reset him with two FDs. Yep, found out the hard way.
Dudeeeee, just spent like 4 hours doing tribute runs today. I have been watching tribute guides for the whole week and I thought I was ready... man, I was not even able to get to the boss :/ Sooooo thanks for your info, the way you explained and did your run gonna help me to finally do it. BTW TYVM for being a elf and not make use of shadow meld. There are tons of guides mabe by elf players and they seem to forget not all of us have that racial :D Once more, tyvm!!! Really nice guide!
Haha don't you worry at the start I was not able to get to the boss either! Take your time for the first few times no need to rush until you get comfortable. And yeaa I felt like showing a night elf advantage isn't really applicable to other races. Glad you enjoyed and let me know when you land the first solo kill
Dont worry, took me 3 days, 100g+, dying a million times, to actually get it. I still die with FD getting resisted, and some other dumb stuff, like forgetting about the eye, or kiting the dogs the wrong way.
Thanks for the guide my dude, just leveled my hunter to 60 finally yesterday and thanks to your guide I did my first tribute today, first try even. I just went section by section stopping, playing. Kudos. I realize this vid is prolly out of date by now but would be nice to see what you do with the mobs after you clear tribute so you can sell ID, sell items without dishing out lesser invis potions. For those of you guys watching more recently, do not think of gnomish cloaking device as a free feign death. It no longer works in that manner, using it in combat will not drop aggro, and you will most likely waste its CD and die anyways if you try.

What i love about this run is how easy the boss fight is, If you can make it to the arena then you're automatically going to do the fight no problem after a couple tries! The hardest part is getting to him fast without messing up your movements or the feign death bug triggering. Great guide, it taught me how to do this last year and another refresher this week :)

Must be one of the best guides .. So clearly explained. Haven't actually made this run ever with my hunter and just now with the AP buffs working for Hunter also I'm considering making it myself.
I chose not to label a Gold per hour for this run as it varies heavily on rng drops and potential book spawns. You are looking at around 80g/hour at a minimum if you are not wiping. Best of luck on the runs
@@lobotom1400 yea I was the first 8/8 on our server. Spent all my time grinding and realized at the end how little you can do without making alts. I think the initial experience was amazing though playing from a fresh launch.
Regarding getting aggro after you feign death. I heard that this can be avoided if you let your pet get at least 1 attack in on Cho, instead of just running nearby to get aggro. If you don't do that, then drinking or using a pot to get up from feign death is what pulls aggro to you. Letting the pet get at least 1 hit in on Cho avoids this.
Great tutorial! Thanks for sharing. It took me several frustrated hours/nights to finally kill the boss! I was very happy and then checked the book locations. Behind the bush was a book with foror in it... incredible. Wondering for how much it will sell in the auction house. Important: use fallback strategies. If something goes wrong it's much better going back and feign death instead tryin to get through. In the first area are a lot of patrols and you need to make sure they are not in your way.
First off congrats on getting the run down! Also wow huge drop getting the forers!! It sells anywhere from 500-1000 gold. Would depend on server. Still haven't seen on in 200 runs
@@Draaynaation thanks man! I just mentioned 2 things from other tutorials for this run. There are 3 chest locations to check out and once you are king there's a vendor in the first room from the entrance called Kreeg. Makes it easy to sell all the stuff an make a couple of runs

Awesome guide, really well put together. I'd done many runs before but noticed u used cloaking device during the final fight. So i tried it. I got a resist from Cho'rush and used the device. Instead of working as another feign death it just reaggrod king off my pet and back onto me resulting in a game of trying to stay alive for 30 seconds. I'm not sure if cloaking device works 100% of the time, or anymore, or what happened. But an alternative would be Skull of Impending doom. Since getting this item i have gotten multiple resists and never lost a boss fight from it.
Yea sadly blizzard has been making random changes after I have made all my guides. Gnomish cloaking is patched and won’t drop aggro. Best of luck in the farm and keep up the grind!
You can kill the insects by planting an explosive trap, aggroing the middle one with your pet and then firing volley to pull their aggro. Once they trigger, you FD into a second explosive to finish them off.
I dunno if you mentioned it. LoS/Line of sight also the melee boss when he is near. He uses charge and it can push you away and ruin feign death. I learned it the hard way that's how you grow.
Up the ramps where you use seaforium charge, i pulled the pack to the right, twice in a row even tho i was hugging the left wall as close as I could. Used 2 invis pot. Raged quitted WoW 2 days ago
So after having a good run on my first attempt and dying to the hyena pat being in the corner where I wanted to FD Kromcrush, I ended up not getting past the Slipkik until I was all red. So being quite frustrated about this I called it a night and went to bed. Next evening went somewhat better and I made it to the boss just to take 4 deaths and about 15 attempts until nothing went wrong and he finally died. This is certainly harder than it looks in the videos, so expect to die a lot in the beginning. Let's see how much more practice it takes to actually make decent money with it :D
1.5 years later and I used this guide to do my first clear. the only thing I would say is different is the pet despawn distance seems larger. there were times where your pet despawned but mine didn't. lots of rezzing and feeding
I was actually kind of wondering about a spec like this, because I want to be able to farm tributes for while while still staying decent for raids. Having 0 points in hawk makes me feel a little uneasy, but I guess at a 2% proc rate, maybe it's not such a big deal with how fast bosses are going down? Might give this a shot for a bit.
Depending on your hit cap you can take points out of sure-footed or out of the bonus HP. But tbh it's not a big deal and if you are not trying to log top hunter in the world it won't make any difference. I'm still doing great dps with 95-97 parses without the aspect points
You should do a video on solo farming BRD Arena runs, not sure if you have but after a quick search I didn't find any. I found a video and did it to get SGC which was so difficult to get with groups.

1st run: aggro first ogre pack on the left and die 2nd run: accidentally aggro hyenas and ogres at the door, FD but they reaggro after i cancel FD 2 sec later 3rd: died trying to get dusty tome this gon be rough killed it after like 15 deaths, mostly while trying to get there.. i'm bad i know. thanks for the guide!
Hey, thank you for the guide. Im still learning how to run it properly, but im sure after enough practice it will become smooth. Just wondering do you have a separate video explaining how to lead people to the coffin after completing the run in order to sell items? Or could you give me a short recommendation on how i might do that if they aren't a rogue.
I was going to show that but tbh there's so many UA-cam videos out there already. But pretty much if they can't stealth they will have to pop an invis pot from the part after the bugs up to the ramp. After that they can run through the rest
What hunter macros do you use? do you not use the FD w/ trap macro? Also, what key binds and/or macros do you use for your pet? I have a pet attack and follow macro, but those dont really work for these runs because the attack macro automatically activates dash and the follow macro is for follow and passive so I find myself clicking on everything for these runs. What would you recommend?
I do use the FD/trap macros. I use the standard pet attack that you are referencing and on the one pull that I don't want pet to dash I just click the pet attack button on the pet bar. In terms of pet passive macro I take out the pet follow part since we want the pet to go back to the stay position. For keybimds scroll wheel up for pet attack and wheel down for passive is my personal favorite. Also I'll be making a macro guide in the near future here!
I'm stuck by where the 2nd summoning eye is killed. I always get killed by the mobs you scatter/conc before the invis. I just don't have enough time to conc the 2nd mob before he enters the dead zone. At that point I get dazed and it's impossible to get next to the ramp.
2 options there! You can either use detterence and monkey and just wing clip the mobs and run by. Or you can scatter one and wing clip the other just make sure to turn cheetah on and then feign death. Goodluck :)

Are you horde or alliance? Ah for selling inventory and repairing you can go to the library. You know the first jump up onto the ledge in the guide? Down below where the one guard and all the dogs, there is a door! This on the left hand side has an NPC that can sell and repair. Arrows wise I would go back to feathermoon strong hold. But to be honest I bring around 3000 and then if I stay long enough to use them all I just hearth out
Yes they can be really tough to kill when you are not critting. Especially if you don't have a good set of tier 1 gear. One option if you have your kill times lower is letting the dogs pass on the platform and then pulling the boss. You can kill the boss before the dogs pat back around
Surprisingly comes out slower. You want to be moving and landing autos on king as he runs back and with hawk you are not able to keep up properly to land consecutive shots
Unless something was patched, this has been a common misconception for the longest time. I was doing full giant-stalker set runs for the longest time while people still said it was bugging the fight. It is all about how you start the fight and how the pet aggros initially
@@Draaynaation 5 wipes but i finally did it. Had problem with mobs timing after a wipe so I decided to just reset dungeons. Got feared by ogre before you enter boss' room and figured out it's better to hug left wall and los them behind bonfire.
Are you able to see the pack to send your pet to from the left side? And congrats, yes sometimes the pat pathing can be super off if you wipe a few times. You need to get really creative haha.
noel fredin ah the eyes are normally friendly if you are not in combat. So as long as your pass the eye when you are out of combat it normally will pass by without triggering the cast

I'm sure you get this question all the time but what addons are you using? Especially the hunter specific ones that give you the radial wheel for the tracking skills, in range out of range tracker, etc?
The range tracker is just a weak aura (rubots hunter range check classic)! The radial wheel is an addon called ring menu. I think it's super useful. Saves a ton of keybindings
Hey, nice guide, thx ! I'd really like to know the name of two addons you use here : the trinket swapper (maybe it's a custom setting for a generic gear manager?), and the big circle you pop to choose your tracking!
Item rack for the gear swapping and ring menu for choosing the aspects. Yea I used to have every aspect bound and I found I rarely used the binds so ring menu let's you save some binds for other items. Glad you enjoyed the video :)
Andy van Laar honestly I don’t even remember! I think most of the time I just used raid spec. You may have to search up optimal but it would be wolf with howl. And then some took shadow res and stacked Stam.

No, i mean you press a button and all the icon that were currently invisible appear spherical in the center for selection. Im assuming the modifier button will be something like alt to activate that. Sorry I misstyped macro instead of addon*
I'm getting an issue when I try to use Feign Death. It blows my cooldown, but never actually occurs, causing me to die. It doesn't even show up in my combat log, even though the CD is definitely going. I spent the better part of two hours trying to do this, but the furthest I got was the point where you use the invisibility potion. This was the only thing I kept leveling my hunter past the 40s for, after I realized how niche and poorly itemized it is as later phases roll out, but now even this isn't a viable option. Really, really disappointing, it pretty much killed my urge to play Classic at all.
Are you speced into improved FD? One major thing is making sure you FD and have your hands off the mouse. Any character turning can bug it. Best of luck! It takes tons of practice and is well worth once you get it down
So how did you not get attacked by the dogs running back to Kromcrush to get that "extra" loot even while not having the king buff? he should be red for you and attack you
I don't know if it's just me unlucky or is it planable , but at the passage around 3:25 i always keep getting a guard at the bottom left, or a patrolling pack going right thru the middle. Then i have no chance of reaching the middle to FD. What do?
Piotr Karnikowski ideally speed up so you can avoid them all together. Doesn’t hurt to just feign death and allow the guards to move away before continuing

Hey man, I have a question about the item sharing thing via the spawned chest: Can you have a party with an alt on the same account and then pick the items up with your alt?
You may run into issues with instance ID, where when you log off it would give the person 60 seconds or less or get ported out. You would also need a third person to help invite your alt into the group. Overall I would say it’s not worth it haha
The real bonus of having a rogue alt would be unlocking the chests that the hunter cannot open. I managed to get a recipe worth 800g the first time I got a rogue to unlock a chest for me haha. And honestly I would say give it a try, it’s hard for me to guess if it would work. No harm in trying it :)
So when you send your pet in to attack, to get it to back to its stay point do you just hit passive and it stops attacking to return to its stay point?
they must have chnaged something agro range is much higher the pack down the ramp after fungus agroes even al way at top let alone halfway down where you jump on th rail, also there an aditional ogre left of the ramp up to fungus and eanr entrance where you walk over the edge there an aditional caster ogre that always will agro
Nothing mob density wise has changed since making the video! You definitely have to be at the top of the rail with the lesser invis pot. You can buy normal invis pots to give yourself more time. If you see extra mobs that means you have taken extra time and a pat has roamed.
Sometimes I forgot to switch the weapons for the fight. Oddly enough the extra 1% Crit on lok delar made a huge difference in my raid parsing. I feel like it shouldn't make a difference and barb blade is best but some how my crit chance overall seems to significantly go up even though it's 1%. Test both our yourself to be honest!
Of course gear speeds up clear times! But I’m pretty sure you can do it naked with a bow technically. Pre bis will be fine you will just have a slow run that’s all
@Draaynaation hi a new hunter question: after setting pet stay position i begin to bypass mobs and clicking petpassive. but this only makes my pet run back to me not getting back to his stay position. i cannot turn off pet follow... so i am really bad at bypassing mobs. anything i did wrong?
DoubleKill Games Sydney so you first hit pet stay to lock your pet into a position. Step 2 is sending the pet to attack a mob using the attack command. Step 3 is hitting pet passive which causes your pet to go back to its stay position. Pet stay will override pet follow, if you have any macros with pet follow built in, that could be throwing it off.
if you have any pet attack macros built into your abilities potentially you are breaking the passive/stay when attacking a new mob. Otherwise should just be a simple set stay command send pet in and then set to passive to get it to return to the stay
@draaynaation - after going through the door that requires the seaforium, i was passing the first mob like normal. i went to the same corner as you and FD. out of combat like normal. then i popped and they instantly aggrod and killed me. did the mobs get moved or was i unlucky?
Draaynaation on your video it’s the 10:12 mark, so pet was either dead or despawned. I actually watched another vid too that went to the opposite side of the hall and had them aggro after FD as well, though they somehow survived long enough to feign a second time. Anyway I found that getting past Krom and getting into the corner just past him to the left wasn’t too bad without a pet, so that works for me.
Yea I always had no issues with the corner in the video but as I’m sure you noticed there is that element of rng where you just die for no reason. And for sure if you do these runs more often start adding in the time skips that someone like zeroji uses. My video is great for someone learning as it’s a safe route. But if you want more g/h there is many ways to shave off time. Good luck :)
@8:54 I keep having issues pulling the pack on the right as I run to the left wall and therefor can't use the Seaforium charge. Anyone had this issue and have a suggestion?
Nathan Lee that was an issue that periodically happens, what you can do is wait for your pet to first pull aggro, if the mobs on the right are too close your pet will pull them so you can delay running in. Once your pet is on its way back and has/has not pulled the right back you can then go ahead.
Hey bro, there a trick to using the cloaking device? Mine has NEVER taken me out of combat and always results in me dieing. Ive tried using LOS before using it the whole shabang, but i noticed on your vid you were hit AFTER you used it and it still dropped aggro....

Normally I just los behind pillar and hope they don't pull back. For sure get 55 magewater as it speeds up the kill times. The gnomish cloaking no longer drops combat so I wouldn't use it on the king fight anymore. They sadly put out a patch :( hope this helps!
Pet stay, pet attack, pet passive. So stay the pet send it towards target let it aggro and then pull back. If you have a macro that is making the pet change to follow this will mess it up
So you want to first set the pet on stay! Then you can send the pet in to attack and if you would like to go back to the stay position you hit pet passive.
Maybe I'm losing my mind. But I thought there was a way to aggro King and drop the aggro completely on Cho. Negating the entire need to viper sting or do any of the micro managing of two mobs and just dps King down with pet ping pong
Definitely not in classic wow, maybe private server? For sure you have to bounce between Cho and king on every fight. There is no way to leash just one of them

@@Draaynaation Eh....I got fire mage and I got about 5 tries in before I duffed a bad feign and died so I gave up for the time being. Pet kept dying cause fire mage Cho was bloodlusting. Ill try again tomorrow or something.
@@NODcepter so sounds like to me you are letting Cho and king get too close to your pet behind the wall. Leave yourself some space and shoot them early! You can do it :)
Ah as a fresh lvl 60 I would probably not do this farm for g/hour. If you have herbalism I would recommend doing mara runs. But assuming you did 2 tribute runs an hour you will probably make 40g/hour.
only thing you don't mention in this video is the random feign death fails from king gordok which realllly are annoyin as fuck and ruin some runs at times
I think you mean how to rebind pet actions? I believe you can change them in keybindings. You can also drag+drop skills such as Dash to have it as the first which would be by default ctrl+4.
Great guide, thank you for all the tips! I've just started practicing these runs, though with a build more heavily specced into survival, and without Scatter Shot. Currently I don't have much success (getting my ass whooped tbh), but I hope to be able to complete runs with more practice. I'm raid-geared with 6/8 T1 pieces and 1/2 T2 pieces, so it should be doable. Also, Rhok'delar, duh. Anyway, I'm very impressed with your skill, and again, thank you for the great guide! EDIT: Tried using the Gnomish Cloaking device in a run today, and the boss kept staying on me. Seen the same happen with regular mobs - did they change this?

strange, i've been running tributes for 2 weeks, and didn't see any difference now :o
To be honest iv had pretty much every run go the exact same aswell. But the odd time you will get linked aggro. It's really hit or miss

Dudeeeee, just spent like 4 hours doing tribute runs today. I have been watching tribute guides for the whole week and I thought I was ready... man, I was not even able to get to the boss :/

Haha don't you worry at the start I was not able to get to the boss either! Take your time for the first few times no need to rush until you get comfortable. And yeaa I felt like showing a night elf advantage isn't really applicable to other races. Glad you enjoyed and let me know when you land the first solo kill
Dont worry, took me 3 days, 100g+, dying a million times, to actually get it. I still die with FD getting resisted, and some other dumb stuff, like forgetting about the eye, or kiting the dogs the wrong way.
Thanks for the guide my dude, just leveled my hunter to 60 finally yesterday and thanks to your guide I did my first tribute today, first try even. I just went section by section stopping, playing. Kudos. I realize this vid is prolly out of date by now but would be nice to see what you do with the mobs after you clear tribute so you can sell ID, sell items without dishing out lesser invis potions. For those of you guys watching more recently, do not think of gnomish cloaking device as a free feign death. It no longer works in that manner, using it in combat will not drop aggro, and you will most likely waste its CD and die anyways if you try.
Yeaa sadly they have patched it :( I liked it in the original form haha

What i love about this run is how easy the boss fight is, If you can make it to the arena then you're automatically going to do the fight no problem after a couple tries! The hardest part is getting to him fast without messing up your movements or the feign death bug triggering. Great guide, it taught me how to do this last year and another refresher this week :)

I chose not to label a Gold per hour for this run as it varies heavily on rng drops and potential book spawns. You are looking at around 80g/hour at a minimum if you are not wiping. Best of luck on the runs

@@lobotom1400 yea I was the first 8/8 on our server. Spent all my time grinding and realized at the end how little you can do without making alts. I think the initial experience was amazing though playing from a fresh launch.

Regarding getting aggro after you feign death. I heard that this can be avoided if you let your pet get at least 1 attack in on Cho, instead of just running nearby to get aggro.
If you don't do that, then drinking or using a pot to get up from feign death is what pulls aggro to you. Letting the pet get at least 1 hit in on Cho avoids this.
Great tutorial! Thanks for sharing. It took me several frustrated hours/nights to finally kill the boss! I was very happy and then checked the book locations. Behind the bush was a book with foror in it... incredible. Wondering for how much it will sell in the auction house. Important: use fallback strategies. If something goes wrong it's much better going back and feign death instead tryin to get through. In the first area are a lot of patrols and you need to make sure they are not in your way.
First off congrats on getting the run down! Also wow huge drop getting the forers!! It sells anywhere from 500-1000 gold. Would depend on server. Still haven't seen on in 200 runs
@@Draaynaation thanks man! I just mentioned 2 things from other tutorials for this run. There are 3 chest locations to check out and once you are king there's a vendor in the first room from the entrance called Kreeg. Makes it easy to sell all the stuff an make a couple of runs

Did my first ever run today following this guide. Had a harder time reaching the King than killing him!
Awesome guide, really well put together. I'd done many runs before but noticed u used cloaking device during the final fight. So i tried it. I got a resist from Cho'rush and used the device. Instead of working as another feign death it just reaggrod king off my pet and back onto me resulting in a game of trying to stay alive for 30 seconds. I'm not sure if cloaking device works 100% of the time, or anymore, or what happened. But an alternative would be Skull of Impending doom. Since getting this item i have gotten multiple resists and never lost a boss fight from it.
Yea sadly blizzard has been making random changes after I have made all my guides. Gnomish cloaking is patched and won’t drop aggro. Best of luck in the farm and keep up the grind!
You can kill the insects by planting an explosive trap, aggroing the middle one with your pet and then firing volley to pull their aggro.
Once they trigger, you FD into a second explosive to finish them off.

He uses charge and it can push you away and ruin feign death.
I learned it the hard way that's how you grow.
Up the ramps where you use seaforium charge, i pulled the pack to the right, twice in a row even tho i was hugging the left wall as close as I could. Used 2 invis pot. Raged quitted WoW 2 days ago
Oof that does not sound fun lol. To be safe you can send your pet and grab both packs! That way you won't run into any issues :)
So after having a good run on my first attempt and dying to the hyena pat being in the corner where I wanted to FD Kromcrush, I ended up not getting past the Slipkik until I was all red. So being quite frustrated about this I called it a night and went to bed. Next evening went somewhat better and I made it to the boss just to take 4 deaths and about 15 attempts until nothing went wrong and he finally died. This is certainly harder than it looks in the videos, so expect to die a lot in the beginning. Let's see how much more practice it takes to actually make decent money with it :D

1.5 years later and I used this guide to do my first clear. the only thing I would say is different is the pet despawn distance seems larger. there were times where your pet despawned but mine didn't. lots of rezzing and feeding
ANd here i thought my solo mara runs were slow, this shit takes the cake lol.
Definitely can take longer then mara, but as you practice more and have a good chunk of tier set you can get runs under 10 mins
I was actually kind of wondering about a spec like this, because I want to be able to farm tributes for while while still staying decent for raids. Having 0 points in hawk makes me feel a little uneasy, but I guess at a 2% proc rate, maybe it's not such a big deal with how fast bosses are going down? Might give this a shot for a bit.
Depending on your hit cap you can take points out of sure-footed or out of the bonus HP. But tbh it's not a big deal and if you are not trying to log top hunter in the world it won't make any difference. I'm still doing great dps with 95-97 parses without the aspect points

You should do a video on solo farming BRD Arena runs, not sure if you have but after a quick search I didn't find any. I found a video and did it to get SGC which was so difficult to get with groups.

2nd run: accidentally aggro hyenas and ogres at the door, FD but they reaggro after i cancel FD 2 sec later

Just wondering do you have a separate video explaining how to lead people to the coffin after completing the run in order to sell items? Or could you give me a short recommendation on how i might do that if they aren't a rogue.
I was going to show that but tbh there's so many UA-cam videos out there already. But pretty much if they can't stealth they will have to pop an invis pot from the part after the bugs up to the ramp. After that they can run through the rest

What hunter macros do you use? do you not use the FD w/ trap macro? Also, what key binds and/or macros do you use for your pet? I have a pet attack and follow macro, but those dont really work for these runs because the attack macro automatically activates dash and the follow macro is for follow and passive so I find myself clicking on everything for these runs. What would you recommend?
I do use the FD/trap macros. I use the standard pet attack that you are referencing and on the one pull that I don't want pet to dash I just click the pet attack button on the pet bar. In terms of pet passive macro I take out the pet follow part since we want the pet to go back to the stay position. For keybimds scroll wheel up for pet attack and wheel down for passive is my personal favorite. Also I'll be making a macro guide in the near future here!

As someone playing hardcore, this seems very scary.
I'm stuck by where the 2nd summoning eye is killed. I always get killed by the mobs you scatter/conc before the invis. I just don't have enough time to conc the 2nd mob before he enters the dead zone. At that point I get dazed and it's impossible to get next to the ramp.
2 options there! You can either use detterence and monkey and just wing clip the mobs and run by. Or you can scatter one and wing clip the other just make sure to turn cheetah on and then feign death. Goodluck :)
100% still haven’t done it in literally over 150 attempts. At this point I’m in debt trying to do this.
At that point I would consider alternative farms! Mara is still pretty solid and you can also do dire maul east. Or just open world farming

Are you horde or alliance? Ah for selling inventory and repairing you can go to the library. You know the first jump up onto the ledge in the guide? Down below where the one guard and all the dogs, there is a door! This on the left hand side has an NPC that can sell and repair. Arrows wise I would go back to feathermoon strong hold. But to be honest I bring around 3000 and then if I stay long enough to use them all I just hearth out

Very good. Super helpful. But, I feel like the dogs near the Kings is very hard to kill. Always ran out of mana before the last dog die.
Yes they can be really tough to kill when you are not critting. Especially if you don't have a good set of tier 1 gear. One option if you have your kill times lower is letting the dogs pass on the platform and then pulling the boss. You can kill the boss before the dogs pat back around

You should use aspect of the hawk on the boss. Makes the kill faster.
Surprisingly comes out slower. You want to be moving and landing autos on king as he runs back and with hawk you are not able to keep up properly to land consecutive shots

Heads up: if you have the 5 piece bonus from giantstalkers it WILL fuck up the aggro on this fight. took me forever to find out that was the problem.
Unless something was patched, this has been a common misconception for the longest time. I was doing full giant-stalker set runs for the longest time while people still said it was bugging the fight. It is all about how you start the fight and how the pet aggros initially

@@Draaynaation 5 wipes but i finally did it. Had problem with mobs timing after a wipe so I decided to just reset dungeons. Got feared by ogre before you enter boss' room and figured out it's better to hug left wall and los them behind bonfire.
Are you able to see the pack to send your pet to from the left side? And congrats, yes sometimes the pat pathing can be super off if you wipe a few times. You need to get really creative haha.

Hey man, great informative video! Did you also notice that sometimes you get an ID where the eyes respawn as friendly even to ones who aren’t king?
noel fredin ah the eyes are normally friendly if you are not in combat. So as long as your pass the eye when you are out of combat it normally will pass by without triggering the cast

Ah they shouldn't aggro unless you get too close before your pet can pickup aggro. Make sure the pet pulls aggro first and then you should be set

Ah I don't really have a master keybind list. You can see the majority of my keybind on the abilities in the video! I'm terms of UI, checkout my recent video where I cover my main add-ons used!
I'm sure you get this question all the time but what addons are you using? Especially the hunter specific ones that give you the radial wheel for the tracking skills, in range out of range tracker, etc?
The range tracker is just a weak aura (rubots hunter range check classic)! The radial wheel is an addon called ring menu. I think it's super useful. Saves a ton of keybindings
Maybe a boar would help you out a bit with charge and being more tanky.

Item rack for the gear swapping and ring menu for choosing the aspects. Yea I used to have every aspect bound and I found I rarely used the binds so ring menu let's you save some binds for other items. Glad you enjoyed the video :)

Andy van Laar honestly I don’t even remember! I think most of the time I just used raid spec. You may have to search up optimal but it would be wolf with howl. And then some took shadow res and stacked Stam.

Blacksmith is the only other option. I decided not to share it in the video cause the chances a hunter is a blacksmith is super low. Last option is to have a rogue pick lock

I'm getting an issue when I try to use Feign Death. It blows my cooldown, but never actually occurs, causing me to die. It doesn't even show up in my combat log, even though the CD is definitely going. I spent the better part of two hours trying to do this, but the furthest I got was the point where you use the invisibility potion. This was the only thing I kept leveling my hunter past the 40s for, after I realized how niche and poorly itemized it is as later phases roll out, but now even this isn't a viable option. Really, really disappointing, it pretty much killed my urge to play Classic at all.
Are you speced into improved FD? One major thing is making sure you FD and have your hands off the mouse. Any character turning can bug it. Best of luck! It takes tons of practice and is well worth once you get it down
So how did you not get attacked by the dogs running back to Kromcrush to get that "extra" loot even while not having the king buff? he should be red for you and attack you
I don't know if it's just me unlucky or is it planable , but at the passage around 3:25 i always keep getting a guard at the bottom left, or a patrolling pack going right thru the middle. Then i have no chance of reaching the middle to FD. What do?
Piotr Karnikowski ideally speed up so you can avoid them all together. Doesn’t hurt to just feign death and allow the guards to move away before continuing

Hey man, I have a question about the item sharing thing via the spawned chest: Can you have a party with an alt on the same account and then pick the items up with your alt?
You may run into issues with instance ID, where when you log off it would give the person 60 seconds or less or get ported out. You would also need a third person to help invite your alt into the group. Overall I would say it’s not worth it haha

The real bonus of having a rogue alt would be unlocking the chests that the hunter cannot open. I managed to get a recipe worth 800g the first time I got a rogue to unlock a chest for me haha. And honestly I would say give it a try, it’s hard for me to guess if it would work. No harm in trying it :)

Need to set pet to stay as step one! Then send it in to the target - once it aggros hit pet passive and it will run back to the stay position

they must have chnaged something agro range is much higher the pack down the ramp after fungus agroes even al way at top let alone halfway down where you jump on th rail, also there an aditional ogre left of the ramp up to fungus and eanr entrance where you walk over the edge there an aditional caster ogre that always will agro
Nothing mob density wise has changed since making the video! You definitely have to be at the top of the rail with the lesser invis pot. You can buy normal invis pots to give yourself more time. If you see extra mobs that means you have taken extra time and a pat has roamed.
i mean way before where you use a pot when you get inside the first pack on the left has 4 mobs
Why do you use Lok'Delar vs Barbarous Blade for the battle with the king?
Sometimes I forgot to switch the weapons for the fight. Oddly enough the extra 1% Crit on lok delar made a huge difference in my raid parsing. I feel like it shouldn't make a difference and barb blade is best but some how my crit chance overall seems to significantly go up even though it's 1%. Test both our yourself to be honest!

Of course gear speeds up clear times! But I’m pretty sure you can do it naked with a bow technically. Pre bis will be fine you will just have a slow run that’s all

Yea that happens sometimes! FD resists are really awful to get. Almost Always kills you. Make sure to not move your mouse when hitting fd
@Draaynaation hi a new hunter question: after setting pet stay position i begin to bypass mobs and clicking petpassive. but this only makes my pet run back to me not getting back to his stay position. i cannot turn off pet follow... so i am really bad at bypassing mobs. anything i did wrong?
DoubleKill Games Sydney so you first hit pet stay to lock your pet into a position. Step 2 is sending the pet to attack a mob using the attack command. Step 3 is hitting pet passive which causes your pet to go back to its stay position. Pet stay will override pet follow, if you have any macros with pet follow built in, that could be throwing it off.

if you have any pet attack macros built into your abilities potentially you are breaking the passive/stay when attacking a new mob. Otherwise should just be a simple set stay command send pet in and then set to passive to get it to return to the stay

@draaynaation - after going through the door that requires the seaforium, i was passing the first mob like normal. i went to the same corner as you and FD. out of combat like normal. then i popped and they instantly aggrod and killed me. did the mobs get moved or was i unlucky?

Draaynaation on your video it’s the 10:12 mark, so pet was either dead or despawned. I actually watched another vid too that went to the opposite side of the hall and had them aggro after FD as well, though they somehow survived long enough to feign a second time. Anyway I found that getting past Krom and getting into the corner just past him to the left wasn’t too bad without a pet, so that works for me.
Yea I always had no issues with the corner in the video but as I’m sure you noticed there is that element of rng where you just die for no reason. And for sure if you do these runs more often start adding in the time skips that someone like zeroji uses. My video is great for someone learning as it’s a safe route. But if you want more g/h there is many ways to shave off time. Good luck :)

Nathan Lee that was an issue that periodically happens, what you can do is wait for your pet to first pull aggro, if the mobs on the right are too close your pet will pull them so you can delay running in. Once your pet is on its way back and has/has not pulled the right back you can then go ahead.

Hey bro, there a trick to using the cloaking device? Mine has NEVER taken me out of combat and always results in me dieing. Ive tried using LOS before using it the whole shabang, but i noticed on your vid you were hit AFTER you used it and it still dropped aggro....
So just recently they patched cloaking device and it no longer drops combat! At this point I no longer use it

Normally I just los behind pillar and hope they don't pull back. For sure get 55 magewater as it speeds up the kill times. The gnomish cloaking no longer drops combat so I wouldn't use it on the king fight anymore. They sadly put out a patch :( hope this helps!

how do you get your pet to run back to its stay location? when i pull it back, it runs back to my location
Pet stay, pet attack, pet passive. So stay the pet send it towards target let it aggro and then pull back. If you have a macro that is making the pet change to follow this will mess it up
How do u make the pet go back to its original point after u put it on stay and atk?
So you want to first set the pet on stay! Then you can send the pet in to attack and if you would like to go back to the stay position you hit pet passive.

Maybe I'm losing my mind. But I thought there was a way to aggro King and drop the aggro completely on Cho. Negating the entire need to viper sting or do any of the micro managing of two mobs and just dps King down with pet ping pong
Definitely not in classic wow, maybe private server? For sure you have to bounce between Cho and king on every fight. There is no way to leash just one of them

@@Draaynaation Eh....I got fire mage and I got about 5 tries in before I duffed a bad feign and died so I gave up for the time being. Pet kept dying cause fire mage Cho was bloodlusting. Ill try again tomorrow or something.
@@NODcepter so sounds like to me you are letting Cho and king get too close to your pet behind the wall. Leave yourself some space and shoot them early! You can do it :)

Ah as a fresh lvl 60 I would probably not do this farm for g/hour. If you have herbalism I would recommend doing mara runs. But assuming you did 2 tribute runs an hour you will probably make 40g/hour.
What addons do you use? It seems alot nicer to play like that :).

Anyone know if the eye of kilroggs need to be dead or alive when you kill the boss for them to stay unaggro?
The eyes can still be alive when you kill the boss, there’s no requirement there. If they are summoned it will make running back out much harder
only thing you don't mention in this video is the random feign death fails from king gordok which realllly are annoyin as fuck and ruin some runs at times

I think you mean how to rebind pet actions?
I believe you can change them in keybindings.
You can also drag+drop skills such as Dash to have it as the first which would be by default ctrl+4.
I'm not an engineer or blacksmith how else could I get that door open?

Great guide, thank you for all the tips! I've just started practicing these runs, though with a build more heavily specced into survival, and without Scatter Shot. Currently I don't have much success (getting my ass whooped tbh), but I hope to be able to complete runs with more practice. I'm raid-geared with 6/8 T1 pieces and 1/2 T2 pieces, so it should be doable. Also, Rhok'delar, duh.

EDIT: Tried using the Gnomish Cloaking device in a run today, and the boss kept staying on me. Seen the same happen with regular mobs - did they change this?
