When the guitar makes that noise it's called making a guitar cry. Fantastic cover.
You covered 2 of the best covers ever made with Sound of Silence and now Zombie. Great job
The other top cover is Johnny Cash cover of Hurt original by 9 Inch Nails
Agreed, now we need blank space by I Prevail.
Hector Santiago couldn’t agree more
Rich: you dont mind if I play it back right?
Me: I'd be offended if you didn't
The bombing was in Warrington by the IRA and 2 young lads died, 1 being only 3 years old the other a 12 year old. So sad.
I like both versions - being a rocker its hard for me to choose a favorite , leaning towards original though, feels more emotional but kudos to Bad Wolves- one of the best cover songs i ever heard. Thanks for playing it
Update: that singer so hot☺
I'm from Birmingham England. We were bombed during the British/Irish troubles. I once asked my grandfather why did they do that to us?:he said the most amazing thing to me. He said "if all you look for is evil, that's all you will ever see". I wish I could thank him for this lesson about humankind.
R.I.P. to Dolores and to those two boys who were tragically lost in those senseless wars.
Watch the Cranberries version, even if you don't react to it. It'll give you a new appreciation for the Bad Wolves video.
Please do listed to the Cranberries version Rich, and if you don't film it, please let us know how much you like it (I know you will!).
I agree he has to listen to the original and hear her amazing voice. :)
Topaaz Moons I don’t enjoy the original at all, her vocals aren’t great and she leaned on the voice breaking ugly type of singing and sounded nasally, this version hits way harder and the vocals are actually solid
you, means who !? Im sorry, Im too intelligent for you !?
@@memer-_-9235 you mean the keening, or the Irish lament...ok...
Johnny cash cover of hurt...shortly after he recorded it he passed away it almost was like he was meant 2 do the cover. Great song!
Dolores O' Riordan passed away from an accidental overdose, and drowned in the hotel bathtub. Rip Irish Queen! 🍀🌹🍀
was not an overdose, but was alcohol related
No it was cancer
RIP Doris! If you watch the original video, you would see references to it in this one. The model is representing Doris.
*Dolores
The "model" is actually Dolores herself. It was going to be a duet. She laid down the visuals and was to lay down her audio track the following day. Unfortunately she died the night this was filmed.
The model in the video is not Dolores. It is Ava Capra. Dolores passed away the night before she was due to lay the vocals for this track. Bad Wolves decided to go ahead with the song and dedicate it to Dolores. She had already passed away before the video was recorded. RIP Dolores O’Riordan 🙏
Hey rich.... I see All the people loving this song. ITS based on a bombing in my local town that killed my cousins best friend and a lil toddler . was a tragedy... we still suffer
I'm so sorry for your loss 💔🙏
Bad wolves is an amazing band u should check out some more from them like
remember when
I DO love so much that you get to the back story of the song. And the fact this beautiful being that originally wrote this song... Still applies TODAY. Delores was an awesome musician and political advocate.
Rich: *pauses video*
Me: hes gonna look up the lyrics
Rich: I always do this...
Me: I knew it 🤣
I said the same thing in response to him. "I already knew, Rick" LOL
Bad Wolves did an amazing cover, representing her in the video, giving all proceeds to her children, another great Bad Wolves song is Remember When about his twin that left him for dead after beating him at their home when he walked in and his brother was robbing their fathers home
Eminem- in your head. He uses this hook
Another Underrated revival song
That guitarist is Doc Coyle, and he's a beast!! 👍🐺👍
I love your appreciation for the instruments. So many feels. ♥️
14:43 "I just want to listen to these notes without feeling sad."
Me, in 2012: "I just want to play this military shooter without feeling guilty.."
Spec Ops: The Line, whispering into my ear as it twists the knife: "Do you feel like a hero yet?"
Death is the universe's way of reminding us that love is all that matters in the end.
I've always loved this song and when I heard this version and found out that she had passed it just broke my heart. I do love how they put her video into it so she is still part of it.
Dolores WAS the "Gold Girl" in the original video. In this one, the singer is reaching for her but can't get to her. Unbelievably heartbreaking.
One of the tributes to her is the gold girl. If you look back at her video she is the focus of the video. They paid tribute to her by adding her to this video
The girl in the gold paint was a throwback to the original Cranberries video where she ( Delores ) was covered in gold paint and dress. Very poignant.
React to breaking Benjamin the diary of Jane
I would love to see that one too.
Sir, I am very late to finding your site, but I am glad i did. I have enjoyed listening to your thoughts and opinions with the songs. Your facial expression was awesome when it came to the first as you say "Explosion!" was priceless for this song. TRUE happiness came across.
I always found it incredible that they worked in the day she died into the video. You should see the next one they did, its based on a true life event for Tommy--- Remember When....
Tommy Vext, the Bad Wolves lead singer, has a twin brother who broke into Tommy's home & attempted to kill him, beating him in the head with a crowbar. He's in prison for attempted murder & burglary.
Yes they dod charge some of the words. But the meaning is still there. And Bad Wolfs done an AWESOME job covering it. Need to check out more Bad Wolfs music. I am 62 and i Love all kinds of music. I grew up un DETROIT and outside DETROIT. I started hearing music very early. Went to my first concert when i was 8. My youngest son tells me when i don't hear music every day i am in a bad mood. He is right. Music is good for your soul.
One of the best guitar solos ever is Eddie Van Halen Eruption live
Definitely listen to the original, don't have to react but on your own time. It has a much different vibe, but she had a beautiful voice! Love this version as well, lyrics are powerful on this song.
This was just requested yesterday and you did the thing!! Ayyy niceee 👌
I definitely want to see you react to the original as good as the cover is I think the original was better
She sang and made the vid up street from me it's about the troubles here in NORTHERN Ireland belfast and we lost a lot of friends n family in the troubles,,, a war on religion going as far back to my ancestors
Please react to Remember When - Bad Wolves
One of the best covers ever.
Finally someone is starting to get it. We all just need to get along.
I loooove their version of this.
I'm not a fan of covers, but this is my top 5 covers EVER
DELORES epic icon, rest in paradise, you left legacy of music. Prayers always for children. Bad wolves you killed it wow
i never liked the way Dolores sang in the original but the lyrics have always been some of the greatest lyrics in this decade, this song is more than just music its a statement and it amplified a movement that was almost being forgotten and killed by the elites of society and their puppets as well as the military industrial complex
I LOVE that you loved this so much!
The final assessment was that between the few glasses if champagne and some prescription medications she was on caused her to pass out while she was in the bathtub. Leading to her drowning.
The guitar was other worldly
But the drummer killed it
Doc, i do the same thing with songs; i play certain parts over and over and over again. you are my kindred spirit then! and you mentioned that "if you had to go..." well the meaning of the lady in gold smearing gold paint all over the glass is that Dolores is now in heaven and though the lead singer of Bad Wolves is trying to reach out to her, he can't,
even though he has glimpses of her... this part of the video darned near made me cry thinking of two wonderful souls who departed for heaven a few months ago.. One of them was a guitar player in the worship band at our church, and there is a good chance that he already met Dolores...
this is not out of disrespect but, towards Doc Rich's end speech... That's the whole point of this kind of music. it's not that it's beautiful or good, or anything like that. it IS to make you think, to make you feel, to make you hurt. that's in a way the beauty of music. sometimes it's happy, other times it's mean to hurt, to remind you, to incite you so that way that cause, the meaning the point, never dies.
This is one of my favorite songs love it!!
Listen to the original because its beautiful and you will appreciate the update of lyrics in this one more so.
She drowned on January 15th 2018...RIP Delores!
*Rich* "That day, she tragically left the world"
*Rich immediately after* dead ass drinks water like it was nothing
Nah, but I dug your commentary on the Irish civil unrest. You're refreshing to watch.
You need to do "remember when" by bad wolves! It is amazing and a true story about the lead singer
It always hits me hard this song
yeah the guitar solo was epic buddy goosebumps 👍👍👍
One of the best covers iv ever heard
Great song rip to an amazing singer also try do a reaction to guns n roses almost any song of theirs is fantastic.
Civil War Guns and Roses 👌
One of my favorite covers 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
That boy was making that guitar sing! Lol
An I teresting idea foe these videos is if you know its a cover song, maybe listen to the original one as well. Meaning behind the song is sad.
Edit: a few recommendation for songs.
Evenesance: my immortal
Hollywood undead: paradise lost
Hollywood undead: I dont wanna die
Good one.. 👍 if you love guitar solo , react to Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb .. live Pulse 1994 = Best show , best stage and best live guitar solo by David Gilmour .. 🎸🎶✨👍
You should react also to,
bad wolves - remember when
He got killed by his twin brother, its heart felt song
Omg love the play back the best part
Amen Brother!!!
My respect for The Cranberries song, but this version is so powerful ...can't stop thinking about the story behind it 😪
2024 still looking
I'm pretty sure that guitar wind is called a "rift"
Rest in peace Dolores O'riordan
From what I was told, her family and band wanted bad wolves to release it
I LOVE your reaction to this..
I completely understand. At some point. It has to be said, "THIS IS ENOUGH!". The lives lost so we could gain some unnecessary gain? I'm waiting for the day when we all can say, "That is enough death, we shall have peace, among everyone!."
@docrich Eminem has a track on Revival called Zombie sampling the original chorus of Zombie
You should do more bad wolves Tommy vext wrote a song about his twin brother called remember when and also do Hear me now really good songs he is awesome
Busker called Dave Stewart does a good version of this
We are all gods people and it doesn’t matter what color we are!
The whole point of this kind of music is to remind us of the realities of war. Yes, some wars are necessary, and started for legitimate reasons, but it's never nice, never clean, and innocents are always caught in the crossfire. Even the most morally justifiable wars are, at best, the lesser of two evils. And most wars are less than justifiable. The war in question for the original song devolved into a level of viciousness and tragedy that became impossible to cover up with nationalism and "rigteous" indignation. Eventually, it always devolves into an endless cycle of repayng evil for evil.
And ignorance, unfortunately, leads to repeating the same cycle over and over. This is what started to happen in Ireland; the people realized that whatever could be gained from continuing the fight was so inconsequential in the face of the continuing suffering and death. It takes all of us realizing when all the pain and suffering is not worth it, and demanding an end to it. Ireland is far from perfect since the end of the violence, but it is far less tragic, and peace is attainable.
In war, there really are no victors, only victims.
This might be a sad thing to think about, but unless we confront it, the sadness will continue as the cycle of violence keeps turning. If you need to feel happy regarding these things, then remember this: Songs like this have two sides. On the one hand, they keep us from ignoring the tragedies of this life. On the other, they show us that there is hope for things to be different, and that these tragedies can become a thing of the past if we work toward it.
Harry Patch said it best War is nothing but organized Murder.
Love this song
I think Dolores O'Riordan was found unresponsive in her bathtub, drowning due to alcohol intoxication
The whole world has become a mess. We are all golden
You will love 'Lunar C Fire in the booth Part 3'
If you have time watch the original Cranberries vid. You simply can't appreciate the tribute fully without seeing it.
Sweet guitar solo !
Both versions are fantastic.
if u haven't react to the original. its about the 1916 rising in ireland
the term bloody sunday came from that too right?
Not in the 1916 rising but apart of the war that was going on in the north of Ireland
The song is about "The Troubles" and more specifically the result of IRA bombing. The 1916 rising lead to The Toubles, but the song is not about that time it was very much present day in the 90s.
@@franciscarroll948 ok good to know thx
They did an excellent job on this song. Please listen to hear me now from Bad Wolves. Please you won't regret it
Anything from bad wolves is a beautiful thing
It was two kids who died in that bombing.
Accidental drowning was the cause of death

I never heard the Original song but OMG do I love this one
You should listen to the original; the video is far more poignant.
If you havent heard it yet you should listen to Five Finger Death Punch - Wrong side of heaven
You should really react to Where Is The Love- the Muslim Cover, the original is done by The Black Eyed Peas.
Please listen to the original she is amazing
PLEASE do a reaction to the original, and if not then on your own time and yes bad wolves did change the lyrics, the the "drones" and "2018" because the same stuff happening in the world today, similarly happened in 1916
Please do a reaction to Hear Me Now by Bad Wolves and Diamante
Great song do the original too. 👍
