Dolores O Riordan wrote this song after two young boys were killed by an IRA bomb in the UK. She deplores the continuing violence in Northern Ireland and is saying that they don't represent us irish as they hark back to the revolution and Irish civil war. Her version is beautiful with the accompanying video on the troubles. This is a brilliant cover and beautifully faithful to the original in honour of Dolores RIP
This is in my top five covers of all time. This was amazing and an incredible dedication to Dolores’ legacy.

You will have to circle back and watch this video once again after you watch the original video. This was a perfect way to honor Dolores‘s passing. You will understand the visuals and the gold paint representation after watching the original Cranberries video. But, this version also stands on its own with this guy’s awesome vocals! But, wait until you hear the Delores’s absolutely iconic vocals. I cannot even imagine how good this song would have been with both of their vocals together!

Both the original and this cover are so powerful. The Bad Wolves' cover is also a beautiful tribute to Dolores, which will make more sense once you see the original video. As a cover of an iconic song, this is extremely good, with the video as a tribute to Delores as well, it is perfect. Kudos to Bad Wolves, and his voice is great.
From what I understand, they depicted Delores as a nod to the original, and it also represented the separation between life and death

This is a great cover song to react to! I got to see them perform this live at Freakers Ball 2019 in Dallas when they opened for Bush and Marilyn Manson. The crowd loved it, and we all sang it together with them. It was such a cool moment in my personal concert history.

In my 50 short years of existence so far, I am proud to say I listen to almost all genres of music. From Bluegrass and Country to Rap and Metal and everything in between, I love it all. When I first heard/ saw this, I was really skeptical because Zombie, isn't one you can just cover. But your reaction is spot on! When that damn beat dropped....I was like, oh hell yeah! And his voice, what?! Soooo good. He has left this group, don't know where he is now. Keep up the great videos! ❤

I love this cover so much. It feels just like the cover of"Sound of Silence" by Disturbed. The original was the warning ahead of time and the metal cover is the anger of a new generation that is realizing we didn’t heed the warning and nothing has changed. They didn’t take down the original songs, but made it their own and gave them another meaning ❤

As a side note, the lead singer Tommy Vext covered for lead singer Ivan Moody for the 2017 FFDP tour when he was working on his addiction issues.

The gold woman is a direct reference to the original video where Dolores was also painted gold. Her version was about the 'Troubles' in Northern Ireland where Religion and Politics collided with catastrophic results. Thousands of people died because no-one was prepared to give up their opinions and beliefs.

Definitely the original with video! Backstory the Troubles in Ireland between Irish Republican Army and The British Government. A violent struggle that raged from the 1960’s -1990’s. Google Zombie by the Cranberries to get more of the history. Dolores wrote it after two boys Jonathan Ball 3 and Tim Parry 12 were killed when a bomb exploded in a trash can in Warrington England in 1993

When you decide to check out the Cranberries doing this, do yourself a favor and research the Keening Delores uses and it's tradition. Meanwhile, I was lucky enough to see Lone Wolves do this live during their tour with Five Finger Death Punch. Fantastic concert!

Truthfully. Listening to the original makes this cover more powerful. The song was written in response to the death of Johnathan Ball, aged 3, and Tim Parry, aged 12, both of whom had been killed in the Warrington bombings, when two IRA improvised explosive devices hidden in litter bins were detonated in Warrington, England.

first time I've heard this version. It was great. The original has a different vibe though. Her accent gives the song more feeling to me. This sounds great but I don't get a feeling there was any personal connection. In the original, you get the feeling and how the IRA impacted people.
