I love full EVs but Porsche's hybrid finally reached a stellar level. To think you can drive a full size sedan, or even better for my needs, a mid size SUV like the Cayenne, and still drink less fuel than a Civic, all the while having all the power you need when you really need it, is just amazing. No one needs power all the time unless you track a car. This is the absolute best of both worlds.
You guys are one of the best on youtube for filming and editing. Seriously great, nobody is killing it like you guys are. Oh and the content is great too.

I would not have considered the e-hybrid version of this car, but I think it makes a lot of sense. I didn't know it had so much power, especially with the V6. I would pick this over a Tesla or an S-Class. Yuri's reaction at 10:23 is priceless!
Christian Baumann Hybrids are a much better long-term solution. Electric cars have good short-distance acceleration, but that's about it. No gear changes, no exhaust note. Hybrids actually feel like proper cars, but with the advantage of instant torque. I'd take the Panamera Hybrid over the P100D any day.

I have two plugin hybrids and one full electric. For long distance driving, my plugin hybrid Volt or Cmax Energi are great. For in town stuff the Chevy Spark EV with 400lbft of torque is a barrel of laughs. Once rapid DC charging can be done in under 15 minutes and more charging networks as extensive as Teslas are deployed, full EV will be the way to go. Once you go ELECTRIC, you never go back!
I think an extended long range ev is necessary for today, since chargers are still practically non-existent round where I live. I love the fact that I can have an electric car and not have range anxiety.
The Panamera is by far the best 4 door car you can buy. Plus it's a damn beaut and even has a wagon version! Also, your exterior shots are to die for❤️❤️
ansaree97 I just picked up one of these, the same hybrid features in this video in the same chalk colour but loaded with more options. I’m very disappointed with this car and here’s why. It’s not a small car to begin with and there are many big heavy cars on the market such as the Bentley, Mercedes S class, Bmw 7 series, full size suv like the Range Rover or G class so on and so forth. The Panamera gives the illusion(or not) that the car feels “big” and heavy while other manufacturers try to make big cars “feel” smaller. It’s difficult for the driver to “sense” the size of the car when doing parallel parking on the street or maneuvering through tight spaces inside an underground parking lot. While the car gives the impression of “big” the legroom for the rear passengers are just “okay” unless you go with the extended wheelbase version of the Panamera and trunk space is somewhat limited. The ride is supple, steering is on the heavy side and it doesn’t handle well. Its unpredictable and doesn’t give the driver a whole lot of confidence. The Porsche GT3 and GT3RS handles exceptionally well and not many manufacturers have that kind of know how but Panamera owners get non of that. Comparing with those cars are unfair so if we compare the Panamera to say Maserati, or the new Lexus LS, the later two are far superior. Even though the Panamera hybrid advertises to have 460hp, in reality it doesn’t “feel” like it has that much power. The C63 feels powerful. The GLS63 feels powerful, Range Rover supercharge feels powerful The Panamera hybrid feels it has 100hp less. In a separate post I’ll talk about how switching between 2modes (electric/gasoline) makes the car behave very differently and the way Porsche setup the car makes it difficult and unpleasant for the driver to drive the car smoothly.
fijod i think panamera is the luxury sedan more than sport car . If u want to feel the power , u can buy M-bmw as well as AMG, or u can pay more to get panamera Turbo (S) .Nowadays , every new expensive car has the camera 360 with full sensors and it’s quite easy to park somewhere. @@fijod You say you picked up one of these but do you own one? I've had my e hybrid for 12 months. Yes its a big car but i don't find it any more difficult to drive than any other large car. I have rear wheel steering so maybe that makes a difference. Yes it drives differently in electric only and sport plus and yes the regenerative brakes take a little getting used to but guess what its a hybrid GT. If you dont want a hybrid GT dont buy one. I travel to work in electric and play a little in petrol but if i want to really play i don't take the Panamera i take the 991. If i want to go off road i take our Hilux, definitely not a Range Rover, mine spent more time in the garage than on the road. As a beautifully made, luxurious, comfortable cruiser personally i don't think you can beat the Panamera and I've been fortunate enough to have owned recently an S Class and a Maserati and will again no doubt. But first a 992 then a Tycan and who knows maybe even a Tesla. Its horses for courses. Just relax and enjoy.

I knew the print grabbing piano black would irritate everyone. That gets messy in a hurry. Nice to hear it's intuitive to figure out while driving. That's crucial unless you're reading the manual in advance. Great review as always guys. Thumb's up.
I have the Executive version. Fuel economy is really bad, in sports plus it averages 18-20l/100km, and if you don't charge the battery using an outlet, Hybrid mode is around 12. The car is heavy though, 2.3 tons.

Can you guys get a panamera turbo with the screens at the back of the front seats? It's almost like an executive package. I saw a picture of it and it looked amazing.
This model is were Panamera's style has become sorted well enough., it still looks bloated in some angles ( around the C-Pillars ) but overall is alright. Sport Turismo/Wagon version is the best pick.
We just got delivery of this car. Sport exhaust + massage seat are the options everybody should get haha! The Sport exhaust make a big difference! Charge time on a 120v outlet take about 8-9 hours. Need to check the onboard charger 7,2 kwh tho. Driving this on pure electric, the first time, was super wierd haha! Acceleration on sport plus is incredible and the boost button...wow, a rocket! The turbo e hybrid must be something! Let's see what porsche has to offer with the taycan and in 2025 with porsche going full hybrid.

Love where the car manufactures is taking with the plug-in hybrid technology in recent years. Instead of econ boxes like a Prius, the are more focused on having performance while achieving good gas mileage. That is why I always tell my friends and co-workers, if they can find it in their budget to effort getting a plug-in hybrid when shopping for a new car, they should, because it will help motivate the car makers to continue down this path of having best of both worlds. To this day, I'm still shocking a lot of my friends with the XC60 T8 when I launch it off the line, while I average above 50 miles to the gallon for normal driving. I'm hoping some time down the road they will put a plug-in system in the Stinger, because I would seriously consider it as a daily driver.

I also agree with a lot of the likes and dislikes you guys have with the car, including the piano black and actually I don't like how you have to use the touchscreen to change the vents. Way too much time wasted doing that, unless it's the far right vent where it's too far to reach, then having that remotely controlled is a great idea. Also, never realized that some cars will point out where the gas tank is located. I usually just find out the hard way, LOL.

That cable is so big and heavy because you need a relative big diameter so more electrons can fit through to charge it more quickly, that means more copper which is heavy

We just got delivery of this car. Sport exhaust + massage seat are the options everybody should get haha! The Sport exhaust make a big difference! Charge time on a 120v outlet take about 8-9 hours. Need to check the onboard charger 7,2 kwh tho. Driving this on pure electric, the first time, was super wierd haha! Acceleration on sport plus is incredible and the boost button...wow, a rocket! The turbo e hybrid must be something! Let's see what porsche has to offer with the taycan and in 2025 with porsche going full hybrid.

Love where the car manufactures is taking with the plug-in hybrid technology in recent years. Instead of econ boxes like a Prius, the are more focused on having performance while achieving good gas mileage. That is why I always tell my friends and co-workers, if they can find it in their budget to effort getting a plug-in hybrid when shopping for a new car, they should, because it will help motivate the car makers to continue down this path of having best of both worlds. To this day, I'm still shocking a lot of my friends with the XC60 T8 when I launch it off the line, while I average above 50 miles to the gallon for normal driving. I'm hoping some time down the road they will put a plug-in system in the Stinger, because I would seriously consider it as a daily driver.

That said, another great video, I really liked Yuri's reaction to how the car launched. I also agree with a lot of the likes and dislikes you guys have with the car, including the piano black and actually I don't like how you have to use the touchscreen to change the vents. Way too much time wasted doing that, unless it's the far right vent where it's too far to reach, then having that remotely controlled is a great idea. Also, never realized that some cars will point out where the gas tank is located. I usually just find out the hard way, LOL.

That cable is so big and heavy because you need a relative big diameter so more electrons can fit through to charge it more quickly, that means more copper which is heavy
