MPG is all relative to types of journeys - I have a 2020 Porsche Panamera e-hybrid and do 70% of my driving in electric mode. Charging overnight @ 7.5p/kwh means a 0-25 mile charge costs 63p. So if I do 1000 miles with 700 miles being in electric mode and 300 miles @ 25mpg it's costs around £100 for fuel & electricity. So 10p a mile - it's a fantastic package. My BMW M4 Comp was averaging 35p a mile so a decent saving for myself personally.

Hi Sam, getting rid of all the squeaks on my 2009 Audi Q5 consisted of replacing every suspension and engine mount bushing… it was less than $4,000 US and the car sounded like new on bumpy roads and speed bumps. Totally worth it. I’ve got 155,000 miles on the Q5. But probably not something you want to do given you will replace your Panamera in 18 months. 😊. I loved the video by the way!
Delighted for you Sam. I've always thought of Panamera's as being massive too, but your comment regarding the size of an F- Pace, put things into perspective. Love the exterior / interior combination too, so well done to the first owner for ticking those options and the vast list of others too. Enjoy!
Thank you, congrats on the new family hauler! Beautiful area to film. Since the car as plenty of room, perhaps for old times sake, you can go spotting with the lads in London. Nice choice. Panamera wagons are super rare in the US. Right now there are a total of 7 CPO ones for sale in the entire US. Woukd love to own one of these or a taycan wagon at some point
I had one of these in blue, bought from a Porsche Dealer. Ended up being a turd box, had to fight with Porsche for 6 months for them to fix it, they had 7 attempts, then had to not only threaten, but damn near drag them into court for them to take it back because they wouldn't fix it. Lovely thing but when one headlight costs £3500 and they depreciate so hard you have to question your financial choices.
I think it's a great choice Sam. Night vision is so good and really good and I'd spec it again. Deer, horses, foxes and of course people show up and if you're pushing on at night in a rural environment it's a God send.

Great car. I had one, was superb for long journeys. However, it doesn't get the pulse racing. Now that I largely work from home, I changed it for a PDK Cayman 981, which is a fantastic car. Better in some ways than my manual 997 turbo.

Nice review. I’m also a new dad. We got a CPO 2018 4S Sport Turismo in December. It’s a do it all car and such a joy to drive and sit in. ❤ also very rare in the US.
My father has this one but in saloon form. Never have i seen such a mix of car. Its very fast, efficient enough and fun to drive In the future i will get this or a 4S E hybrid👍🏻
I had a Pan Sports Turismo Plug In Hybrid for 3 years and it was amazing! Sounds great with the Sports exhaust and had the amazing Burm sound system etc.... Thundering! I think to get the most of these you really do need to plug them in over night, (if you can) and run on electric. I was getting just over 20 miles of range. Charging from the engine made it a bit pointless as it really smashed the MPG. Narrow roads in Devon and Cornwall and parking was a bit tricky, but still, a great car! Enjoy :-)
The RS6 just didn't do it for me. I've had my Pan 4 ST for eighteen months (it's also a Porsche approved fully loaded G2 '18 model from my local OPC and had done 20k when I got it) and done nearly 18k miles including a few trips to the Alps. Use it daily as a van for my business/dog carrier and then a sports GT car at the weekends. Superb car. Shame that the new G3 version isn't available in the ST version.
I’m going to change my Range Rover for one. I live in Boston US. My local Porsche dealer are real ball breakers so I think I need to look out of state. I will let you know. In the UK I had a number 911s and miss them so much. The one you have looks like a real steal
Would it be able to tow the GT3 on a trailer…? How cool would it be to tow the green beauty to the south of France or a nice place around the Nurburgring and have fun there..? I’d be watching it! 👍
I definitely like the Panamara sport tourismo. I would be like to know when driving in hybrid mode, on a longer journey, how many miles is achievable before you run out of battery and have tself charge or just drive on the engine alone. I would most probably choose the 4S or GTS.
I have the non hybrid in night blue, wonderful car. Pro tip: the massage seats can be activated by a button in the middle of the lumbar 4 way button- no menu dive needed.
It's cool! I got an older A7 in January too. An upgrade (in space and performance) from my A4, that go too old. Great cars for family life. The color is very cool.
hey sean, i've been contemplating between a used 4s or a 4e hybrid, a lot of ppl say fixing the electric system would be expensive, any update on how that is holding up and what common issue have you experienced?
I’m so happy someone thought of dads mate and actually a car that usually gets disregarded between the 5’s and E’s and eff me the SUV’s of the family car world … please keep us posted Sam and congrats, I think I forgot to say that lol
Great vid! I have a 4S Sport Tourismo and my family enjoys it. I think this model may actually appreciate seeing it’s been discontinued in the ST model. We’ll see, but for the time being, it’s a wonderful car for 4 family passengers to enjoy all together.

Sam, thanks so much for this episode! I have been considering just such a car and yes comparing to some SUV. It seems to be a very useable car! Awesome review as always!
See Misha Charoudin’s Panamera 4e hybrid after 3000Km review from a few years back. He certainly was not disappointed by the performance of these cars. Perhaps there’s something amiss with your car? My 6 month old 4e hybrid is fast enough for me and I’ve had some brutes in my time. Can’t see the point of a 4S hybrid or turbo SE hybrid in the real world away from the race track. Just my opinion but don’t be put off by these cars if you think they’re a bit sluggish. Not a bit of it.
Good choice. Looks great. From the interior camera shot, the black steering wheel looks a touch out of place but probably far more practical than a light-coloured one.
Love it. Had my eye on similar spec for a while, for me the musts are adaptive cruise, rear axle steering, heated steering, cooled seats, surround view and panoramic roof. The chalk interior would be lovely! Not seen something like this from Porsche directly for 55k that's a steal.

How and why is Porsche the best brand?
@@pistonburner6448 They have a car for everyone. Want a track car, they have GT3 (RS)/GT4 (RS). Want a daily driver? Panamera. Want a EV? Taycan and soon EV Boxster. Want a sports car? Boxster/Cayman. Want a bigger sports car? 911. Want a SUV (soccer mom mobile)? Cayenne. Want a smaller soccer mom mobile? Macan
@@ChR0nos_7734 So they're like Toyota or Hyundai, only with a far smaller selection?
Waiting for the Toyota cult to wake up...
Fantastic choice Sam. I have the 970.2 and it’s very comfortable and adequately fast. My fuel consumption is way better than yours but I charge at home and do a lot of journeys on battery only - interspersed with some fun in sport mode🙂
I wish the Turismos were the same price as the standard Panamera. It's a dream car for me as well.
Gorgeous Jack Russell
It looks absolutely cracking in red with black wheels! A splendid purchase
I have 2019 Panamera SE hybrid turbo executive….love this car for daily drive to work
Sam, you do know pretty much everything you listed as options appear on most new’ish cars today as standard. Rolex, Range Rover and Porsche.
Great video. Super interested in this car for the same features. Any advice on battery replacement or what are some no go criteria when looking for a used panamera
Nice review. I’m also a new dad. We got a CPO 2018 4S Sport Turismo in December. It’s a do it all car and such a joy to drive and sit in. ❤ also very rare in the US.
My father has this one but in saloon form. Never have i seen such a mix of car. Its very fast, efficient enough and fun to drive
In the future i will get this or a 4S E hybrid👍🏻
How can you adjust the strength? If I push the button it always goes back to soft
Remember when light grey interiors colors were base spec and you had to pay extra for black interior. How the turntables...
Great vid! I have a 4S Sport Tourismo and my family enjoys it. I think this model may actually appreciate seeing it’s been discontinued in the ST model. We’ll see, but for the time being, it’s a wonderful car for 4 family passengers to enjoy all together.
I’ve a 2014 970.2 turbo s and it’s hard to beat. No thoughts of selling as there is little out there in that size to beat it in comfort and power.
3:35 wait, what? I stayed in the New Forest when I went to Goodwood (closer to Arundel). How did I not know about the wild horses and donkeys?
The new forest is nowhere near Arundel or Goodwood. You might be thinking of the South Downs
@@simongibbons1052 ah, you're right, that was South Downs. We were in the New Forest when we went to Beaulieu. I think I actually did see horses there, but didn't realize they were wild.
A big fast estate, nothing is more cool than a big fast estate as a dad wagon! Nice Sam
love that Chile help you to make this decision! greetings from here!
For full screen CarPlay try satnav systems near Tolworth in Surrey, Just off the A3. Just about to get mine done
Thrilled for you, Sam. Great choice, big congratulations!
I have always loved the Panamera and having the estate option ticks many boxes.
Sam, thanks so much for this episode! I have been considering just such a car and yes comparing to some SUV. It seems to be a very useable car! Awesome review as always!
Fantastic video Sam and what a gorgeous colour!
Having one for 2 years now and I love it! She is brilliant 👌
Great video and I would love to have have a Panamera as the family daily driver 😁
0:50 sick song 😎one thing I'd maybe do is de-badge just the rear emblem
Love it. Had my eye on similar spec for a while, for me the musts are adaptive cruise, rear axle steering, heated steering, cooled seats, surround view and panoramic roof. The chalk interior would be lovely! Not seen something like this from Porsche directly for 55k that's a steal.
Very happy for you Sam! Porsche, There is NO substitute!
